I've contacted www.iheartreykjavic.com today about doing their walking tour. It looks really good and if I can do that on the half day, it leaves the next day to do the triangle thing.
Would like to do a visit to the Arctic Circle from Akureyri too but not sure if possible (have asked I Heart Reykjavic).

So excited to be going on this cruise! It will be myself and DD Sarah who is now 19 and finishing up her freshman year in college. We live in Hudson OH and it will be our 4th cruise with Disney.

This is a delayed graduation trip for her and we're very excited. Is there a fish extender list yet?

Cruise Meet threads are doing just fine still managing meet and FE discussions right here on the DIS as they have since FE began (also here on the DIS).

FE organizers generally need to know how many people (adults/children) are participating in each cabin with child ages for age appropriate gift giving. Other information you would like to share such as names, allergies, favorite characters, etc. is up to you. Other personal information is not really necessary. Those organizing FEs typically ask for the information to be posted in the meet thread or sent to them via PM.

For those posting in this Cruise Meet thread to join a FE, since no one has come forward to organize a FE for this cruise here on the DIS, anyone can organize the FE right in this thread.

Has anyone found a good private tour company for Oslo? In looking at the DCL Port Adventures for Oslo, there isn't one that covers everything I would like to see in Oslo ((Viking Ship Museum, Con-Tiki Museum, possibly Fram Museum, Stave Church at the outdoor folk museum, Vigelund sculpture park, the Scream, maybe Holmenkollen ski jump). I realize it is likely not feasible to do all of these things during our port stop, but I would like to do as many as possible. We might try to do it on our own, but I would prefer a private tour. I am also considering signing up for the Oslo by Private Vehicle PA and extending the time so we can cover as many of these as possible, but I suspect a private tour not through DCL might be less expensive. Also, if anyone has found a good private tour and is willing to share, we are a party of 4. Thanks!

We are planning on using www.guideservice.no. This was a recommendation from Rick Steves book. The cost is 2050 kroner for the first three hours amd 550 for each additional hour. So it's about $500 - $550 if you book them for the entire time we are ashore. (Public transportation and entrance fees not included.) We plan on purchasing the Oslo pass as it covers the entrance fees and transportion at a reasonable price. Like you, we have very ambitious plans about what we want to see that day. No DCL tour really hits the mark, and for us it is worth the extra cost to have a guide help us get the most out of our time in Oslo.

I was, too.

We were supposed to be but ended up canceling and I don't remember why. When these cruises came up I was torn about doing the Baltic or this cruise but I've always wanted to see Norway and Sarah wants to go to Iceland so this won. Of course it may also prevent her from having a job this summer which she doesn't mind but I'm sure she can find something to earn some spending money for the cruise!

For those posting in this Cruise Meet thread to join a FE, since no one has come forward recently to organize a FE for this cruise here on the DIS, please feel free to start the FE right in this thread.

There is certainly plenty of time to plan a FE for this cruise. All it takes is for someone to maintain a list of/for those participating which can easily be done in this thread. Cruise Meet threads have been doing it this way for years now here on the DIS. If anyone is interested in doing this, feel free to contact me for some suggestions.
