Monday, October 21, 2013 Continued....
I have never been so happy to get back to the room in all my life. These babies were just worn out and I knew that Landen needed to take a nap most def.
This little surprise awaited us in our room.

The boys LOVED it. Landen got the Mickey pillow 2 weeks before our trip prior to our trip. Mousekeeping rocks!!
Stevie didn't mind staying in the room with Landen so he could nap ( I am pretty sure HE wanted to nap himself). Lawson and I headed to wash some laundry. Now, normally I do NOT do laundry on vacay but we were so close and it's always good to get some laundry out of the way. Less when you get home. On the way, we passed a quiet pool and Lawson just had to swim. I figured this would keep him occupied so Landy could sleep.

Beautiful.
I posted this pic on facebook " Just hanging around at Caribbean Beach"
Everyone commented how cold it was back home and how jealous they were. Hey- I'd be jealous too. Not a bad place to be on a Monday afternoon.
There was a girl at the pool who was the girl version of our Laws the Boss. She was bossy, snarky and cute as can be. Just like our baby. Her and Lawson were going back and forth with each other, " I bet you can't do this and I bet you can't do that". LOL. It was so funny. Everyone at the pool was cracking up. At one point, we had to check the laundry and go back to the room. Well, Laws went in the bathroom to put spike up his hair with gel so when we had to walk back by the pool, to grab the laundry he could see his new girlfriend. He insists he wasn't doing his hair for her but I am his mama and I just knew. We are going to be in trouble with this one!
Young love. AHHH....
Eventually we had to wake up Landen and he woke up in a wonderful mood. PERFECT. Before long we were all ready to head out.

Can you see all the gel in his hair? LOL.

Before long, we arrived at Epcot.

We decided to head on over to World Showcase, as we were hungry!! Along the way, we spotted the Duffy the Disney Bear Meet and Greet and Laws really wanted to meet this cuddly, sweet bear all stuffed with fluff so we hopped in line. Now by this point, we knew that Landen just didn't care for the characters so being the sweet man that he is, Stevie parked it on a bench with Landy so Laws and I could enjoy.

It was such a beautiful Monday evening.
There was a family in front of us frantic that they were going to miss their 6 p.m. ressie for the Garden Grill.. I was frantic for them b/c I just hate that feeling at Disney.
It came to be our turn and what a sweet bear Duffy is!

Precious!
Meanwhile, Landen met a few new buddies. Mighty Ducks anyone?

Okay by this point, we were starving and we commenced to walking around in circles trying to find something to eat. Now being that it was Food and Wine, there were plenty of choices.. But with having two small, picky kids, not so much. I would love to come back to Epcot sans kids and just eat whatever I wanted.

Germany was beautiful.
We stopped and watched the little train station. I wish we had something like that at home.
It was just so crowded and by this point, I was totally aggravated. I was hungry, undecided.. It was bad. We passed Via Napoli and San Angel Inn and how I wished I would have made a ressie for one of these. We ended up going back to one of the quick service mexican restaurants. We got Lawson some kind of taco kids meal and Stevie got the Combo #1, whatever that was. LOL. I ended up getting something from the F & W booth. It was some sort of beef taco thing and I got a habanero margarita. How I looked so forward to this drink but it wasn't all that. Watered down margaritas are never good.
We FINALLY found a spot overlooking the water to eat our meal. The kids enjoyed watching the ducks here but overall, this place was so crowded and the kids were not being very good. I try to remind myself that they are just tired and we are way off our routines, etc. etc. etc.
After our meal, we headed to our fav attraction at Epcot! Under the Seas.. With Nemo and Friends..

The boys love this ride and I do too. It's so super cute.
After our ride under the sea, we played around with Bruce and tried to take the obligatory pic in his mouth, but of course Landen is scared of everything and wouldn't do it. LOL.
We went into the gift shop and I bought a little snowglobe that I think was $24.50. The boys' bathrooms are done in a bright, ocean theme so I thought it would be precious on their counter. It has one of the seagulls overlooking the globe and Dory and Nemo inside of the globe. It says "Mine" on the front. I love it and so glad I decided to buy it.
I can't wait until Finding Dory comes out.
One more thought before I wrap this little segment up.. What is up with the Disney haters this week? UGH, I swear. One of my friends told me that another one of my friends mentioned to her that she can't believe that we go to Disney once a year and the same friend even non-chalantly mentioned to me a couple of months ago that "Life is too short to do the same things and experience the same experiences over and over".. I really felt like it was a dig at me. Honestly, I want to say, why are you worried about what my family and I decide to do with OUR time and OUR money?
I tell everyone, go to Disney, at least, just once in your life. You will see why I love it so much. It is no different than the same people who go to the beach two or three times a year or the mountains. It is just what we enjoy doing as a family and one of these days, when my children are all grown up, I will be thankful that I made these memories. One day, they will be embarrassed to be seen with me. As the teenagers say, YOLO!!
I don't think that anyone ever says " Man, I shouldn't have experienced all those magical memories and should have been at the office more".
As I know how fast life can change. One year, my mom was here, healthy as could be, the next year, she wasn't. One day I had a job, the next I didn't.
I know you all know that Disney is "the happiest place on earth". Only you guys know that feeling on the night before you leave for Disney. Only you understand the tears you experience seeing Wishes, Illuminations or MSEP... (even if it's your 20th visit), the thrill of the Yeti, seeing your child's face light up as they spot their favorite character, and only you guys understand the giddiness of walking down Main Street and spotting that castle in all of her glory.
I am so happy to have a place like the DIS to share this love together.
It's a shame more people don't understand, huh?
