Originally, we had dinner reservations for 8:20. That morning, we called to push it back so that we would have time to go to the Magic Kingdom to see the castle lighting and to Hollywood Studios to see The Osborne Lights. We arrived about 10 minutes before our reservation. The hostess told us that the Holiday Wishes was about to begin and we could either be seated immediately or we could get some drinks and go out on the deck to watch. We chose the latter of those two options. We each got a drink from the bar and went outside to watch Wishes. They pump the music in and you have a very nice view from the surrounding balcony. It was definitely one of the highlights of our entire trip! About five minutes after Wishes ended, our buzzer went off and we were lead to a table with a nice view of Cinderella's Castle.
After we sat down, the waiter brought us two glasses of celebratory champagne.
Appetizers: We both ordered Narcoossee's Seafood Bisque which had Maine rock crab and sourdough crostini.
Entrees: We both ordered the surf & turf with twin medallions of filet mignon, butter poached rock lobster tail and potato gratin with choron sauce.
Desserts: Blair ordered a chocolate lave cake for dessert. I don't remember what they called it, but that is what it was.
I ordered an apple tart.
Start to finish, Narcoossee's was our favorite meal from our trip. The hostess was very nice asking us if we wanted her to hold our reservation until after Wishes. Then, she placed us at a table with a great view of the castle. The waiter brought us free champagne. Shortly after our orders were taken, the hostess brought us menus that said "Narcoossee's would like to congratulate you on your engagement! Sunday, December 14th, 2008." The waiter was very nice and paid close attention to us without over-staying his welcome. The seafood bisque was extremely good! The surf & turf was excellent. The filet mignon medallions were tender and flavorful and the lobster was cooked nicely. Blair enjoyed her chocolate cake and my apple tart was quite nice as well.

This was a perfect ending to a perfect day. We spent a great morning and early afternoon at DHS, went back to the room for a nap in the afternoon, over to MK for the castle lighting, then a quick drive to DHS for the Osborne lights and then over to The Grand Floridian where we were treated to Holiday Wishes and an amazing dinner with an even more amazing view. This is what Disney is all about!
