5 Days, 4 Parks, 3 DIS-meets, 2 ADR’s, and 1 Solo DISer! Done! Finished! Completed!!

Great Update Heidi!! I love a walk on SE...great ride!!!! OOOH doesn't that food look so yummy!!!! Food and Wine was a great time and I would love to be able to do it again!! I'm thinking next fall I have a date with EPCOT!!!

Your food looks so good. I wonder if I should go in the fall instead of Chiristmas time.

It sounds like such a lovely start to your trip. I am so happy you went to Celebrate you!!!

Okay..comments:

Thanks for the comments about charging 20 bucks...I'll remember to bring my taser...;)

Nothing like the room being ready and I think God had some good mojo for you to make up for the last trip...:thumbsup2

That food looks good...

TT walk on:thumbsup2

I'm shocked that SSE didn't stop once during your ride. That is rare.

The food looks so good, especially the dessert.

And I totally agree with you about the orange side of Mission Space.

I don't think I have ever ridden Spaceship Earth without it at least pausing or stopping. You've got some really good trip mojo going on! :thumbsup2

That food looks AMAZING. Yummy! I need to go during Food & Wine!

You're already getting some serious magic happening here! Walk-ons for 2 pretty darn popular rides, some awesome looking food, and an early arriving flight! Nice!

I adore spicy food too! Wish they'd put more in, or at least offer a more authentic version.

Oh goodness! You are making me hungry. Wasn't the boniato puree just delish. I had it the next day after you mentioned it. YUM!!

I can't wait to go back next year!

I rode SSE twice - it stopped during the ride both times. :sad2:

Hi, Heidi! I'm joining in. I don't think I have yet. And if I have, I can't remember. Boy do I need some more sleep. :lmao:

Anyway, what a great first day! I'm glad you took your time and relaxed. Good for you! And good for you for celebrating you! Sayin' it loud and proud to the CMs, I love it.

I have to laugh a little at some of your pictures because I took the exact same ones. Too funny. Great minds and all that. Your food art looks awesome. Makes me wish I'd tried some more. :goodvibes

YUM!

And I bet you were able to enjoy yourself so much more knowing things were unpacked and organized :)

I love the fact that you told the CM's you were celebrating YOU!

Hi All-
I have the next update written but I'm too tired to do replies and post the update so it will have to wait until the morning.

Hope everyone reading is doing well!

That's one thing I miss about not doing the food and wine festival this year--the food!
It was a nice bonus for the vacation!

That was some yummy looking food! Yay for the single rider line. Great start.
The food was yummy!

I want to check out the Flower Fest before doing F&W again, but who knows!

Your food looks so good. I wonder if I should go in the fall instead of Chiristmas time.
That's probably an even split for going at either time.

It sounds like such a lovely start to your trip. I am so happy you went to Celebrate you!!!
Thanks Tracy....and it was nice to go solo!

I did rock some great mojo!

I know what you mean about SSE....that's why I mentioned it.

I'll be back to finish replies and post an update today. Danica has been "off" and doesn't want me to put her down and that makes it hard to type!

Yes I think you do!

They didn't do too badly with the F&W stuff. But I agree.....every menu at Disney looks and tastes the same for the most part.

Can you imagine that boniato dish on a cold fall day? Yum!

I was really surprised at how well I did with taking the food porn pictures this time around. In fact they are some of the clearest pictures I took all weekend because I was having lighting issues the whole time.

YUM!

And I bet you were able to enjoy yourself so much more knowing things were unpacked and organized :)
Yes I was. In a hotel room everything has to have it's place. I don't know why but it does help getting out the door in the morning when you can find everything!

Oh, man, I am so wishing I had tried the mousse now! Dang it! ;)

I wish I had seconds!!!

Sounds like a great start to your trip!! I want to ride Test Track right now!!

Soon enough Miss Amy you will be!

Mmmm, that dessert from Mexico looks delicious! Glad you got to walk on to some rides! :thumbsup2

Denise

I had excellend ride-line mojo the whole weekend :wizard:

Caught up....

skipped some of the chatter replies...so you proabably commented on everything I'm gonna say...:guilty:

Score on your arrival...early, no hassels, room ready, nice view and good location. Are you the corner? I agree on As size...DH and I stayed there in '98...great for a young couple zooming all-day, but now that I traveled w/ kids muliple times...the BLT is going to be heaven :cloud9:

Your trip is starting out fantastic! 2 rides, no lines and 3 yummy treats....Yum Fun ;)

That's probably an even split for going at either time.

I think it will actually come down to when I can have the time off from work. They say that summer and winter are their busy times but I don't know how hard or easy it is to take time off yet. My dh can take time off when ever he wants just as long as no else has vacation the same time.

9/30/09 Wednesday late afternoon-ish.

I had 3 goals with going to the Festival Center:
1. Buy the apple/sse logo pin
2. Get some champagne
3. Pick up the big Festival guide

2 out of 3 ain’t bad…

I took some “shopping” pictures for you.
I have no idea which this is, but the green color was cool looking.
100409027.jpg

Here you can make your own 6 pack.
100409028.jpg

See the apple/sse pin? I got that one.
100409029.jpg

More stuff you can buy.
100409030.jpg

I got the Caposaldo Prosecco $3.50….yuck. But the $3.50 price should have clued me into how much I wouldn’t like it.
100409031.jpg

little fyi: it was filled to the brim…..I had to drink a little before I took it off the counter.

I poked around the Festival Center a bit and then found a seat and organize my stuff and my thoughts before heading back out.

Cheese from The Mouse Catch.
I love the Dorothea (the whitest one on the bottom). I found the other two lacked much of any flavor and were too dry for me.

Next up was the ride in Mexico…I hadn’t seen it since the Donald upgrade. It was cute. My seat in the boat was lacking for two reasons: 1. I was off-sync with the movie….I would see the tail end and then the beginning of whatever they were showing. 2. The mother with her adult daughter who couldn’t stop talking about so and so back home until a few minutes into a very short ride. Is it really necessary to gossip while on a ride at Disney?

Next up was my Kim Possible mission….I have pictures but I won’t ruin in for you! Bit of info for ya….. I had stopped into the FastPass station for KP in Inventions when I first got to Epcot but the return time was for 230pm. That would be too early for me. The CM asked me what time I wanted and she punched it into the computer and viola…FP for a 430pm pick up in Iltay. So if it’s not really busy they can change things around for you. Too bad I didn’t use it at 430pm in Italy. As I came to Norway I saw the KP stand there and asked if I could pick up my communicator there…now. YUP. The CM gave me a choice of three different countries and I picked Norway.

KP missions are very cute and WELL done by the Imagineers! I would suggest doing a KP mission early on because you can’t help but see others doing their missions. But I gotta say….ONE is enough for an adult per trip. Jackie (CP) is a Saint of a Mother for doing so many with Connor.

I picked up a School Bread before leaving Norway for later. I have a picture of it when I actually ate it. And can anyone tell me why every time I go in there; there are 4 young girls behind the counter not working? I feel like I’m in France trying to get waited on. :rotfl2:

Ever notice the recording of a sick bird by the grass roofed building in Norway? Sort of freaky!
This is the Chicken U-somethingorother from China. Very good. The dish really needs to be paired with a side. I actually thought some French fries would be great with it.

South Africa did not disappoint again this year. This is the seared beef tenderloin with sweet potato puree and mango bbq sauce. Excellent. I only wish I had ordered 2!!!
