5 Days, 4 Parks, 3 DIS-meets, 2 ADR’s, and 1 Solo DISer! Done! Finished! Completed!!

OOOH Heidi...what a fun afternoon!!!!! I love the pictures from the festival center and I actually got the Tink F&W pin!!!! Hmmm once again your food looks so yummy and is making me hungry!!!!!

Hmmm....can't wait to see your picture of School Bread!!

I have to agree with you the KP missions are very very cute and I can see why kids love them so much, but I also have to agree that once was enough for me as an adult...although I'm looking to see how much Leslie like's the KP missions in January!

It's funny when I look at your pix and know that you are solo, it gives me a different perspective on them. I know what it feels like when I'm solo, so it's almost like they are taken from a more relaxed point of view. Does that make sense?

The Chinese chicken whatever doesn't look so good, the seared beef on the otherhand.....mmmmmm....

How exciting to meander (sp?) through the WS at your own pace!! Even when I was there with my mother I felt kind of rushed because we were flying home that day.

I wanted the Tink pin too but I have so many Tink themed pins already and I had to have the apple/SSE pin because I think it makes such a great logo.

I get what you are saying about the pictures....before I would have never taken the time to photograph shopping stuff. And with kids you are so disattracted while in comes to meal time that I could never remember to take food porn.

I agree that the China Chicken looks nasty...but it did really have a nice favor.

That piece of tenderloin was cooked to a perfect medium!

It was nice. I sat on plenty of benches too!

Glad you got 2 out of 3. The food pics look yummy. Sounds like a relaxing aft.

I could never find the big festival guide while we were there, either -- I wonder if they just decided to print the little weekly ones. :confused3

I don't know about Saint of a Mother -- but I'll take it! :lmao:

We tried some of the same stuff -- that's all I am saying for now. ;)

The pin is adorable!!! And the food looks so good.

Did you do any of the seminars, etc during your F&W visit?

Holy Food, Batman!

You weren't kidding when you said you were good with the food art! Almost makes me want to go back right now and eat some more!!! :goodvibes

I really like that apple pin, it's so cute. Too bad about the prosecco. Too sweet?

the beef tenderloin with the sweet potato puree looks really yum...

Look at all those goodies for sale in the F&W center...the pins, tshirts, ahhh...I have some serious F&W envy...

I so love that you told the CMs that you were celebrating you...:cool1:

(I agree I think the new upgrade to the ride is Mexico is cute...;)

1) I really loved this update! Your pics. are very well done!

2) The pin is super cute- out of the 3 that were in the photo, I would have chosen that one too.

3) Both dishes looked quite tasty! I'd take either right now!

4) Glad they were giving generous pourings, but sad you didn't like it.

5) I can give you full credit for making me put a KP on my list of must-dos. I am hoping it won't be so busy that we can't specify a time that works with our ADRs.

6) Never noticed that sick bird sound- but will give it a listen in Sept.

7) Bummer only 1 of the 3 cheeses were working for you. I love cheese too, and would have been sad.

oh that tenderloin and sweet potato puree looks to die for!

Great pictures!!!!!!

I mean porn.

Now...how to convince my kids that one KP is enough?

I felt my first magic here as we went outside and gained speed…the rush made me giddy!

You are getting your magic back!!!!! :yay: This sentence brought a smile to my face.

And the next update made me drool---all that food looks soooooo very good.

I love that you were celebrating "you" on this trip. What a great way to approach your vacation!

All the food porn is making the poor pb&j sandwich I brought for lunch with me today look even more sad and pathetic than it already is. Everything looks so good.

It's not just you about the big guide for the festival. I heard on the Dis Unplugged podcast that they weren't doing them this year. Only the little weekly ones.

Mmmm, that beef tenderloin and the chicken from China look delicious!

Question about KP fastpasses--are they like regular fastpasses in that once you get one you can't get another FP until a certain time? Or do they not count against your FP eligibility? Hope that made sense!

It was a relaxing day even with the travel.

Glad I'm not the only one that didn't find the big guide!

The pin is adorable!!! And the food looks so good.

Did you do any of the seminars, etc during your F&W visit?

No I didn't do any seminars, I don't drink wine and my allergies to tree nuts and shellfish make going to testings a little dangerous!

When I look back on the trip now I just think about all the food I missed eating...not what rides or shows I missed!

Look at all those goodies for sale in the F&W center...the pins, tshirts, ahhh...I have some serious F&W envy...
In 2008 we were there the last weekend of F&W and most of the cute F&W stuff was sold out.

7) Bummer only 1 of the 3 cheeses were working for you. I love cheese too, and would have been sad.
Well we don't know until we try them and isn't that the whole point. I just wish I could get my hands on the Dorthea cheese that I liked so much.

oh that tenderloin and sweet potato puree looks to die for!
Oh it was....yummy!

You are getting your magic back!!!!! :yay: This sentence brought a smile to my face.
Awwwww....thanks Brook!

I love that you were celebrating "you" on this trip. What a great way to approach your vacation!.
I found it really easy to go solo and not hid from it.

It's not just you about the big guide for the festival. I heard on the Dis Unplugged podcast that they weren't doing them this year. Only the little weekly ones.

Oh, Ok. I misunderstood then. I thought they were doing a big guide just to have at the Festival Center and the little weekly ones for everywhere else. It didn't really matter as I had make my own maps and listing of the booths.

Question about KP fastpasses--are they like regular fastpasses in that once you get one you can't get another FP until a certain time? Or do they not count against your FP eligibility? Hope that made sense!

I believe that they are separate just for the KP missions.....like an ADR if you will for the game. I don't believe they have anything to do with "real" FPs.

In case you lost track I’m still on Day 1 of 5.

Velkome to Little Germany.

In Italy I picked up on of these Primivera slushies (Strawberry, Banana & Peach) from a F&W booth. Very refreshing and not overly sweet.
100409049.jpg

My next stop was Japan….I took way too long picking out what I was going to buy. I ended up with 2 different plates and a pair of “trainer” chopsticks for DH, as he can’t manage to use the real thing. (I’ll have shopping pictures at the end of the TR because it’s easier and quicker.)

These things crack me up….30 years later!
100409052.jpg

One of two character signatures that I got that “weekend”. Glad I had watched her movie the week before. She had one of the better wigs.
100409054.jpg

100409055.jpg

Off to the UK for more shopping!
100409056.jpg

Which one do you think I purchased?
The Mary Poppins mug?
100409057.jpg

Or the Tinkerbelle mug?
100409058.jpg

I was easily able to get the Alice tea set for Danica. This year in was in a ton of shops as I would find out the next day at DTD.

100409059.jpg

100409060.jpg

Scrappie-Do--Look!! I found a Pith Helmet!!!! I was about giddy with excitement over my discovery.
100409061.jpg

100409062.jpg

100409063.jpg

Hello, Canada….I’ll be back later.
100409064.jpg

Halloweenie stuff. (I am just now realizing that I never went into Mousegears this trip)
100409065.jpg

OK, now one of the F&W things I was looking forward to the most was the NEW Flavorhood Ice Cream Neighborhood. This was the description:
Test your flavorology" and learn your ice cream personality among other fun activities.

This was it, a sign and ½ pints of ice cream for $3.25 and a lame mock up of an ice cream truck for kids. I hope I missed some big show because this was a big let down. Not to mention that they were not of ice cream when I went by around 7pm.
100409066.jpg

I :lovestruc the Mary Poppins mug! So very pretty. Too bad I don't drink coffee or tea.

That is a bummer that the ice cream thing was a let down. :sad2:
