Wednesday 9/30/09

From my notes....which of course didn't last past Day 2.

At the airport I picked the wrong security line (s-l-o-w) but at least TSA was friendlier than the last time I flew. And bonus- I got the random body search

I was at my gate by 7am and straved. I ate the apple coffee cake that I had brought with me and bought a diet coke.

Flight was one time, I had a good boarding letter/number so I picked a window seat near the front. Two older ladies sat with me and they just read the whole flight.

Our snack was the cutiest airplane shaped graham cracker cookies!

I watched Top Chef on my iPod which was a great way to pass an hour.

OMG was the left side of the plane HOT! Of course it got full sun as we flew down the east coast between 8am and 11am....remind me to sit on the right side of the plane next time.

The next 2 blurbs are directly from my notes that I was writing on the plane:

Seriously- if you are going to hog the arm rest than can you at least not poke my side with your elbow? I want 20 bucks for the part of my seat that you took up.

We landed early and I made my way downstairs to Magic Express. Can I just say how nice it is to know exactly where you are going and what you are doing!

Oh and by the way in case any of you are wondering.....yes I did stick to the plan and went to the restroom before going to the ME bus

On my train in the morning I poke back. It's usually men, who feel the need to sit with their legs wide apart, while elbowing me as they read the NY Times. After ages of putting up with it I now give a gentle elbow back.

Yes I have been unemployed and found a job with AAA. I am hoping for some good discounts. We needed me to have a job more than going on vacation. I am sad and happy at the same time. I will really like this job and it alows me to stay home during the day and only leave a couple of hours before Lexi goes to bed. Jon (my dh) said that since we moved our dates a whole year later we can stay deluxe.

And I agree. It's great to know where you're going and what you have to do.

People that hog the armrest make me sick. But I'd rather deal with that then terrible body odor or any other odors. On a flight to Los Angeles, my friends and I sat in front of a couple and their baby. Well, they decided to change the kid twice at their seats, even after the flight attendant explained how unsanitary it was and it's not allowed. It was not pleasant being downwind from the scene

Awwww, cute little airplane cookies. Surprised you got even that. I'm glad you had taken the apple cake snack. Super good choice of diet coke to wash it down. I'd have gone with a latte, but anything with caffeine is all good with me.

Don't you love it when a total stranger feels you out?! Pul-eeze! Sorry, you got that rather unnerving "bonus". What do they think they are going to find under your bra strap, anyway?
