Thanks RAC! It was awesome. We left Columbus Ga at about 530pm on Friday the 26th. It did not seem real! After months of waiting, it was finally our turn! I hated the idea of leaving so late, but my DH was not able to get that day off of work, and anyways it gave me more time to pack and clean house. When my son came home from school before the holiday, I about died when I saw his bookbag and how much work he had to do, so he worked on it thru the day. He still had to carry his bookbag tht was so heavy, I could hardly lift it. The kids did well on the drive down. We ended up getting to the Wingate Airport near MCO at about midnight. I won this on priceline and was very pleased with the room and the location. I would definitly stay here again! I packed us a one night bag, so we didnt have to haul all the luggage down. We took the kids in, our toiletries bag, and I was beat. I did the 2nd half of the driving, once we got onto 75. So from Valdosta to Orlando, I drove. We got ready for bed, but my son Nathan (18 months) did not want to sleep! That was a task! LOL I set a wake up call for 7am. and off to sleep I went with thoughts of Disney in my head :cloud9: :cloud9: :cloud9:

I am glad to hear you had a great trip! How was the weather? Did you check on the on board booking discount for the upcoming cruise? I am so hoping the next 17 or so months fly by. :D We do have our 10 year anniversary trip that we are going on in May. DH and I are going to Cancun, without DD. This is my first big trip without her but she wanted to stay with Grandma. If it is not Disney World or Disney Cruise she doesn't care about it.

Hi Rac. Thankfully, Danielle was able to help me out getting the onboard discount. I think it helped that I was booking 3 cruises! LOL Lucky you, Cancun in May?? All we are doing is driving from HERE (GA) to THERE (CO) which will eat up all my vacation, to visit my parents. Thrilling huh? Because of this we will not be able to sail next year. Well, DH and I will take the 4 day Wonder in Spet, hopefully. (fingers crossed)

Hi everyone. Checking back in, we are still booked for this cruise, but have been focusing on the one coming up in nine days! I will also be checking on rebooking on the cruise to get the onboard credit. And, I think I may have convinced about three other families from the Dec. 2004 cruise to rebook this one as well! Long way to go yet, we shall see. Many school schedules to check before then. We were actually talking about trying to rebook as a group, but I think it takes 8 cabins.

WOOHOO!!! You are leaving in 9 days! I am jealous! i am still in cruise over depression mode! LOL Lets see 9 days....that must be a Wonder cruise?

No, we're on the 10 day Christmas cruise, the crazy group that has 20,000+ posts! Even Dd's thread, the teen group, might hit 1000 before we go.

I keep forgetting I took my countdown clock off so I could post a pic.

It will be almost 2 years between cruises for us, as we're not going anywhere until this double scoop. :charac2: I really would like to fit in a Sept. 11 Wonder cruise for DS's 11th birthday on the 11th, but I doubt if we can scrape together the $$ and vacation days to do it. Gee, in only 3 weeks it will be 2005, and we can all say that we'll be sailing NEXT YEAR for sure! :cool1:

Thanks for the encouraging thought! It's killing met to wait so long- it will be 3 years between cruises for me... which NEVER has happened!!! (Moving 2100 miles and new jobs tend to kill vacation plans)... and I have never taken my kids along- can't wait- only 1 year til I can tell them!!! (This will be their 'big' Christmas gift in '05... if I can keep my mouth shut for another 55 weeks :guilty: )

How is everyones holiday shopping coming along? I have not bought the first thing ACK! My mind is still on board the Magic! LOL I have posted some pics at photobucket if you wanna look http://photobucket.com/albums/v295/dzneprincess

Amanda- Thanks for sharing the photos- they are great! Looks like you had a wonderful time! Can't wait for my kids to meet yours in '06! (Can't wait for '06 at all... this is killing me!!)

Shopping... this is my worst year yet- just got going this weekend. I am not at all in the mood this year (and I am a Christmas FANATIC)... moving to FL has killed my wintertime-Christmastime spirit, I think. Next year's shopping will be easy... the cruise will be the 'big gift' under the tree for everyone.

Hey kiki! Dont feel bad about the bah hambug vibe, I am totally feeling it also. I guess my mind jus thinks, well we just got off this excellent family vacation that was mostly our christmas gift anyways, so whats the point? Ya know?

After a 'girl's shopping weekend' the weekend before Thanksgiving and our 3 inches of snow on Thanksgiving eve, I've pretty much been in the Christmas spirit for awhile. I have almost everything done and wrapped. I just need to get a little something for our (not so darling) 14-year old grandson. We only see him a couple of times a year and he rarely acknowledges us (being step-grandparents and he has an attitude). Any ideas for this age/attitiude other than a lump of coal?

Quick fix that is remarkably easy (so you don't have to spend more time than deserved)... "night out in a box" ... movie passes and gift certs to his favorite fast food place. He'll think that you are cool for knowing what he likes, and he won't have to bug mom and dad for cash for a change. ... just a thought.

Hey all. Can't wait for January to come so that the cruise will start seeming like it is closer than it is. I am so behind this year on my shopping. Only 4 more days of work before we are off for the holidays.

Hey Pam, I ditto you! LOL At least you can say you are behind, meaning you have actually started, and that you are going to have some time off to finish. I have yet to start, and no time off!

Time off... what's that? We get 3 holidays a year... and with Christmas and New Year's both being on Saturdays, we lose out on two of them this year!!!
Enjoy!

The pictures are awesome! Your kids are adorable- you're an adorable family matter of fact! :)
I especially love the picture 100_4172.jpg- where your son is sitting on the bed with an awesome smile- he looks like he's perfectly at home on the cruise. :)

I'm done with holiday shopping/decorations. Neener neener. LOL ;)
