Finally, she should have a Menactra. It's a meningitis shot that used to be given at age 18, before college. But last July the AAP and CDC both started recommending it be given at age 11 or 12 (sorry Lisa).

Yes, please let me know when you will be in Vegas! I am Flying to FL Friday night and staying at the Hyatt, then Limo'ing it to the port... so, hopefully you'll hit Vegas before I leave for FL...

We'll be in Vegas early, early, early. I think our layover is from around 7am to around 9:30am I think. We're on Southwest so we have to claim and recheck our luggage there - We have to leave here waaaaaay to early! Who's idea was this! We just drug our feet too long to get a good flight out of here for a decent price. I think we're saving close to $150 per ticket. At least we get to Orlando earlier than we would if took the nonstop from here. It will make for a very long day.

Menactra ONLY protects you from meningococcal meningitis, which is a particularly bad one.

It doesn't protect against pneumococcal meningitis, another bad one that is becoming more and more resistant to antibiotics. Fortunately, babies get pneumococcal vaccines now too (prevnar).

The VAST MAJORITY of meningitis is caused by viruses that can not be prevented through vaccination. The good news though is that viral meningitis is rarely fatal.

Cruise related:

Finally received a call back from DCL concerning my inability to schedule both myself and my wife for the same shore excursions. They were able to resolve everything for me, but they were unable to tell me why I could only book either myself or my wife for the excursions.

Maybe my wife called DCL and said that she doesn't want to do any excursions with me?

Anyway here is my (current) excursion schedule:

Day 1 CC - Cabana Massage, Personal Watercraft Eco Tour (double) at 2:45, 2-day CC package
Costa Maya - Dolphins encounter
Cozumel - Beach & Ruins
Day 2 CC - 2-day CC package, Stingray Adventure at 3:00

Can't wait to go! 4 weeks from today we are at WDW!

OK, finally just got all caught up doing the Virgil thing. Have been home about 30 minutes from Dale's Orchestra COmpetition. He was actually playing in two groups tonight and they are still not done with the second one. I went to the Chamber Orchestra and then after Swim Practice, Charley picked up Ashley and brought her over and I left to bring her back home and he stayed to watch the Symphonic Orchestra. The Chamber Orchestra was incredible. Dale had a lot of bassoon parts and he was so pleased that he didn't mess up. He said he made a few mistakes in Monday nights concert. They had a I++, I+, I+. Anxious to hear how the second group does.

Also -- Speaking of Dancing, Charley and I met at a Country and Western Bar, 21 years ago in July. He is a great C/W dancer. Unfortunately, now that I am older and not quite the same size I was when we met, I can't jitterbug with him as well. My equilibrium gets quite off when I start spinning around. We didn't do any dancing on the last cruise, because the kids were so much younger at the time. Maybe this time we can do a little in one of the nightclubs We will have to look for all of you who like to dance.

Thanks for the info - it helps put things together! When DS was about 6 or maybe he was 7 already he was having constipation problems. At one point the Dr. ordered an x-ray of the midsection. We were told DS was "moderately full of poop"! At some point he started wetting frequently. I think it lasted 6 months or so. It was quite frustrating. I don't think we ever put the two together. We assigned him the nickname The Urinator During this time was our first Disney Cruise. We cruised just after Thanksgiving. I thought it would be great to have a Christmas Card picture. After we left dinner one night we went to the atrium to take a few pictures. I don't know if it was the lighting or what, but I didn't notice DS pants til I saw it in the pictures. Needless to say, we did something else about a Christmas Card
