I LIKE the Eel. Even though one tried to take a finger from me in Hawaii!

Don't blame the Eel - you stuck your finger in his hiding place... :teeth:

I wasn't quite being THAT stupid :rolleyes2

We were at a major snorkelling beach on Hawaii. I was in the water waiting for the MIL when I noticed that a snorkel down in the crack between some rocks. I reached down to grab it and the eel cam flying out!

Fortunately he was only a little one and just bumped my hand and did not take a chunk out! Then I remebered that Hawaii has eels and you should not go reaching into dark places!

I can see that! So did you hold on to the snorkel? I think Ohiominnie needs a new one!!

I held onto it, but found its original owner.

I was going to chime in on the discusion a while back on snorkel types. I want a plain old-fashioned snorkel with no vavles on it - very hard to find! I end up putting saran wrap over the lower valve -- I am a big fan of the displacement method!

I heard they were opening some stores in Atlanta :yay:

Remember that list I made for our moving criteria? I forgot to put Trader Joe's on it. I'm not going to be able to cook anymore without it.

Well-- I have a very upset little girl here tonight. She did not make the squad, they only took 7 6th grader girls. The bad part is 5 of her friends made it. I have never seen her cry like this before. She is starting to get better, but I just feel so bad for her.

Oh, I'm sorry to hear that. Didn't know it started in MS, no squads here. I think they look for gymnastic types in cheerleading. Tell her about drill team. It's a very cool thing in high school, more for dancer types with long legs!

How is Kevin going to fit that in around diving? :confused3

Only ONE day of parks, I think diving gets three days on this trip. You know where his priorities lie.

OM, I'm following you to bed! Couldn't sleep last week, so this week I'm getting very sleepy...

I guess Stacey hasn't been back to see her picture. That's a good one.

So Angie, you had a dream about US? And you haven't met us yet? What did we look like? Did I look like Stacey's picture?

I think the Margarita recipe name was "Secret", Coach. But we'll accept "Famous". Which I think it might be soon! Too bad we can't get royalties.

Don't know if I have posted this picture here before, but this was taken with my D100 in Hawaii. I was using my 70-200 with a 2x teleconverter - so using the 1.5 crop factor it was like shooting with a 600mm lens (albeit at f/5.6). My tripod is not quite heavy enough for that much glass so it is a bit soft. We were about 1/2 mile away from the flow.

WOW. Have I got a lot to learn before I could ever take a picture like that! WOW. And a trip to Hawaii would help, too.

OMG...laughing, snorting, laughing....scared the dog and woke up the boy! And now I'm choking I laughed so hard. Tears rolling. Thank goodness I wasn't drinking anything. I also had to backspace about ten times...laughing too hard to type.
I've never seen a picture of what I would have looked like had I been tall and thin. I might have to print that! Oh heavens. :rotfl2: :rotfl: :rotfl2: :lmao:

I'm still not over that. That's kind of like the Navy guy picture....you should have presented me with that in front of a crowd. I'd be as red as the dress.

Here's the picture the new owners sent to her, which she forwarded to me....

(which, btw, is a STUPID picture.....I'd think she'd send a better picture of the DOG.....it's a GREAT picture of her KIDS!)

The dog is waiting to pounce on that kid....good thing the other one has a tight hold on the leash.
LISA knows how you feel. SHE would have to write a letter back, too. And Stacey would probably let her!

Looking at my mortgage co's website....looks like I can split my mortgage payment in two, and pay every two weeks....that gets in an extra payment a year which all goes to principal. Anyone else do this???

Never thought of that. I used to just add extra to the principal each month.

It was after 10:00 when we got home from the game. And it ended early due to the 10-run-rule. I still can't believe they let young kids' games go that late. They won, 15-2.

Pam....Jordan was a cheerleader this year, 9th grade...and couldn't wait for it to end. Too many competitons and not enough just plain old "cheer for the team".
She tried out for the dance squad for next year, and made it.

Because I was a swimmer, I'd say she's better off.

It finally happened! Jay has started telling people about the cruise!! That means he's actually getting ready to go! And it isn't the week of the cruise yet. Wow.

AWWWW....a U T.O.P. with JAY!

Thanks Stacey. I know she is better off, she just doesn't know it yet.

Well I was in bed asleep, when DS woke me up again. 2nd night in a row and now I can't go back to sleep. ARGHHHH
