Not hard at all and it is VERY close to Ohare Airport, you could stay at a number of hotels right near the aiport and be 10-15 mins from it, there's even one that I would not be surprised to have an airport shuttle, that is literally next door to the arena.

If she's also going to United Center, you DO NOT want to go there.

Check out http://www.allstatearena.com they have listings. It's actually not in CHicago proper; it's nw of the city limits a bit.

Shoot it IS the United Center!!!!!!!! I was thinking allstate for some readon...so you sat no go for United huh??
Has anyone ever been to Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City? or to Atlantic City?

Thanks for checking Mark. What is so bad about United?

Whoops. The United Center is not exactly in a friendly neighborhood. And not that easy to get to. I wouldn't recommend it for someone who doesn't live here.

OK so I am not crazy! Thanks Monica. My friend kept telling me that this one was so much better than "trace" and that it had a surprise ending???? I finished and was like o-kay....
I loved her earlier books, but "Trace" and "Predator" are both ones that I took back to the library after trying to read the first few chapters.

I'll try to boost the post count. Maybe I'll even make it to my personal best of 1000 posts before we leave. We leave 4 weeks from Tuesday.

I got Caleb to post on the teens/tweens board, but he's just not that into it. Can't be MY son!

I was just mentioning to DH on our evening walk about how I won't have anything to do after the cruise. He said something about getting e-mail addressed and keeping in touch. He just doesn't get it, either. And I reminded him about the family that shared our table on our first cruise. Very nice couple with DD a year younger that DS. We got along very well. They gave us their e-mail address. I e-mailed several time sending pics that we took of them and never heard back :confused3 .

JB's is still up in the air for us. It depends on what will be the best time for us to return the rental car. If it's more convenient to return it Friday, then we'll skip JB's. If it won't be a problem returning it Sat. morning, then we'll try to make it. We have a convertible reserved; I hope I don't bring rain.

This is the view I could have in Atlantic City from a pair of tickets on Ebay

Is that where her stage would be? You'd be close, but if they reconfigure things, you might end up 'behind' her. (we had that happen with our 2nd American Idols concert and it was AWFUL - Phillips Arena should have never sold those seats.)

Personally, I think as a solo traveler, you'd be more comfortable in a place like Atlantic City. :sunny:

Amanda, I think you should go and see Madonna if you really want to. Life is short. Enjoy it while you can, and I certainly understand about the alone-time, too. Every mom needs that.

I should hope so! AS those are the $350 seats..same price as floor seats, but I do not want to be on the floor since I am so short.
What did Phillips di, put the stage at the other end? Every show I have ever been to in there the stage is at the opposite end of the entrance....

Thanks. I have just about talked myself into going to the Atlantic City show...but I am just not sure yet....make sense? LOL

Why do people do that? :confused3 I've even sent things and never received any acknowledgement; a simple "thanks" would have made me feel good. It's so easy to "stay in touch" - much easier than in the *old days* - yet people are getting worse and worse about it. :confused3

If they're charging the same as floor seats, then you can probably feel confident that you're getting a good seat!

You know how Phillips is configured - the stage at one end of the arena. They sold sections that were on the side of the stage (and of questionable quality to see the performances I might add!), but when the performers came out, they stood toward the front of the stage and we were pretty much looking at their backsides :lmao: Actually, why it was AWFUL is that the sound traveled away from us and we couldn't hear the songs. :listen: BTW, that was the Ruben/Clay Idols tour! Last year, we had great seats! :thumbsup2
