Congrats Pam!!!!!!!!! And I love this line Finally I outclicked Kevin I think that needs to be a tag!!!!!!!!:lmao:

I doubt I will ever be tagged. hear that that the tag fairy doesn't visit this board, and that is about the only place I post anymore.

Hi, y'all. Sorry I've been absent the last few days. My mom came up last night, and we took her to Manhattan today for a tour of Sirius and some wandering around. It was a joy in the rain, let me tell you.

Now I'm REALLY behind on the board - there's 10 pages just from TODAY! So I'm off to catch up. Hopefully I'll be better at keeping up from now on, because Jim just bought me a new phone with broadband access! :cool1: I'm such a toy-geek...

Off to do some reading!!!

Amanda -- I have a solution for you. Go for the Madonna concert in Phoenix and then see if Stacey wants to go with you. Phoenix is a great town, I love it there.

We'll be at the Radisson, too!!! :cheer2:

o.k. - off to the middle school and instrument try-outs - my baby boy is getting ready for middleschool... :sad1:

Tarryn goes to middle school in Fall and I think is going to stick with Viola. She was also recommended to continue with Spanish.

Monica --

Congrats to John. HOpefully he can finish up his papers soon and then really be done!!

We are driving from DFW... :sad2: We have the miles to fly, but can't get a flight that gets us there on time and still lets the girls go to their last day of school... 1st & 7th grdes ... big important days

They wanted us to upgrade to the higher miles flight to get a direct :furious: but we will not use our Hawaii miles when we can drive there in a mere 24 hours. :confused3 I can't find the icon for cutting off your nose to spite your face. ;)

We will all still be there when you arrive... probably on our 2nd or 5th rounds so come on in and catchup!!

We are driving to port the next morning but can I leave my kids with you? They love the pool!:smooth: :rotfl2:

See you there!

You can leave the kids with me but why are you not leaving your car at the hotel and shuttling to the port??

Regarding the dinner or being at the Radisson on May 26. We won't be able to go to JB's. Having to turn car in on Friday evening. We have a free day and I would hate to have to pay to keep the car to morning. Plus, it is with National and they are no longer giving you the taxi fare to the port. If they had, I would have done that. Hope I am not sounding too cheap, but we are spending a fortune and every little bit helps. To keep the car for an additional 14 hours, it would cost me over $40.

So anyway, we will be just hanging out at the Rad. Maybe some of us should put on a green ribbon or something so we can recognize everyone. Or, we should all examine our pictures on Mark and Mary's site to see who we recognize??? Any ideas

Well, we spent the afternoon at the hair salon. Dale got his hair cut first, then she started my color, then cut Ashley's hair, then finished mine. Only 3 hours. Of course, Dale was antsy, thank goodness he took a book, plus I gave him some money to walk down the strip mall. I just hate running back and forth with gas prices the way they are.

Charley is working an extra shift tonight, so I took the kids to Cici's after the hair cuts. Now I don't have to worry about dinner:thumbsup2

Just a reminder to those staying by the port. A group of us are getting together for dinner up at JB's in New Smyrna Beach (up near Daytona).

Here's the link. http://www.jbsfishcamp.com/

I will take the address and directions and depending on the time due to traffic and the kids etc we may join you - do you need reservations???

The Phoenix concert is June 8th. I would have to literally get off the ship unpack our bags repack, and catch a flight... plus Stacy already said she dont like Madonna...but there was a certain Tigger Maria here who said she liked Madonna..how far is NYC from Atlantic City???

I just finished Patricia Cornwell's "Predator" the latest in the Kay Scarpetta series. I was very disppointed with it. That reminds me, are we still going to have a book excahnge?

I loved the Kay Scarpetta books for years, but the last few left me very disappointed. Bummer... I, too, am trying to decide what I'm taking on the cruise. My problem is, I keep getting books and then READING them!

OK yall..I have adilemma and could use your input...

I know you are probably sick of hearing about the Madonna concert...but here goes.
I have always loved Madonna! Always! I had never seen her, or been to any concerts at all until I was 17. My 1st concert was at 17, I saw Bryan Adams. I have since been to a Vertical Horizon, Hilary Duff (with DD last year),Creed (twice) and the last 2 Madonna concerts.
I am about to be 31 years old. Those are the only concerts I have ever been to in my whole life. I love music.
The Madonna concerts were worth every single penny! EVERY Single penny! When the new Madonna tour was announced, my only concern that was she would play in ATL while we were on the ship. WRONG she is not playing ATL at all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am sooooooooo upset with her about that (silly I know) I am also upset about the ticket prices. SHe just keeps going higher and higher (much like DCL). My head says do not go. Too much money for one night of entertainemnt. Then my heart gets jinvolved and says gogogogogogogo! I have actually looked at the dates, and thought of possible shows I could attend.
There is Phoenix on June 8th. Chicago on June 18th, Atlantic City on July 18th and NYC on July 3rd. THere is also Miami, but I am not so sure of it or NYC actually.
There is no one that loves Madonaa as much as I do(as far as my friends go). They would not be willing to pay for a ticket plus airfare and hotel yadda yadda.....I will be solo. All in all it will end up costing me about $1000 for ticket/air and travel expense. I want to do it sooooooooo bad! But the grown up in me says heck no!!! It doesnt help that DH says, "if it will make you happy, go"
I am worried about traveling to these major cities alone. I kinda want to do ATL City because the venue is so small. It only holds 22000 people....

I am so torn..if you are still with me thank you....WWYD?+

I would save the money for another cruise!!!

I saw Brian Adams too - great concert he was with the Hooters...

OMG... The HOOTERS! I haven't heard that name in so long. I used to love them, and saw them countless times in the mid-80s before they hit it "big" (well, as big as they ever did) and left Philly.

Ever been to Cheeseburger in Paradise? We have one near us. We are always surprised when the bill comes and it's so low. We all eat a full meal and get Cokes....and it's usually in the $35 range. Most other places we go are at least $42 for the same amount of food. Maybe it's because they are one of the few places that isn't charging $2.50 or more for a pop!!!!

One just opened near us, never been to one before but will have to try it.
