DH is off to work, DS is off to school. It's time for me to watch a movie that I got from the library on Friday. It's 'The Constant Gardener'. By the time it's over it should be warm enough outside that I can finish planting my peonies and clemetis.

I watched that one, got it from Netflix. Quite confusing at first, but pretty good if you stick it out. It's sad.

Good morning! Haven't been on this thread for awhile - sooo busy with work and Courtney's dance competitions, and cleaning, and bill paying, etc etc etc, so excuse me if this has been addressed before. How many of you are flying Delta? I am totally freaking out. I think that today I am going to get tix on Jet blue, and if Delta doesn't strike, then we will cx the Jet blue tix, get a travel voucher and use them later on in the year for a "pre-paid trip to disney (we already have 8 days left on my dd and my pass - would just have to get Courtney a pass). I was just wondering what you all are doing? Sitting tight or panicking like me :confused3

I am on Delta using Frequent Flyer miles. I am worried, but not panicking. Everyone I know that is familiar with the industry say it won't happen anytime soon. I think the delta pilots would be silly to strike at this point, because then they won't have anything. I am crossing my fingers that I am right.

Rather than burst post:

Sue

Burst posting has long been recognized on the DIS boards as an acceptable method of catching up on a active thread!! Not a derogatory term at all!! :thumbsup2

I wore shorts this weekend....in public! :scared1: They're a little snug, and not the least bit attractive....but I refuse to go buy a bigger size. I was even sleeveless. No wonder those poor cowboys kept falling off their horses and the bulls. Not a pretty sight.

You weren't wearing those "husband beater" shirts were you????? :confused3 :stir: :rolleyes1

I am sitting here watching "The Breakfast Club" on AMC. It is annoying since it has been doctored/edited. I should have just gone downstairs and gotten my copy of it. I am too involved in the folding of clothes to get up though. Plus it will soon be time to get the kids. My daughter's last words to me this morning were, "I hope you pick us up in carline since you aren't going to work today." Don't want to let her down; well, at least not today! :)

Fingars and toes crossed as well.

However, our local Delta pilots did vote to strike.....

We don't have Jet Blue here. I wish we did. So Southwest is our equivalent, I guess. No, they don't charge for changes, and I've had to make lots of changes at times. They don't have assigned seating, and I know a lot of people complain about that, but to me, it's a fair trade for not having to pay big bucks to make simple changes.

I love SW --- they are on-time - if you want a good seat, get there early. When we go on vacation, I am there early. When I am flying for work, I am there.......so if I get a bad seat, who cares.....

That is my quest for the day. That and cleaning bathrooms. I've started to "collect" stuff but not formally pack. Are you?

Pack??? Thats the Thursday night so we can leave Friday!!! :confused3 :confused3

I'm hemming and hawing whether or not to bring it. Just the thought of lugging this around and then worrying about it when we leave the room makes me think. Any suggestions?

Leave it at home, the whole idea of being on a cruise to us is that we are away from it all, no computers, no phones and lots of relaxing.

Something just popped in my head about dining....do the kids have to wear pants to dinner? I know the adults do, right?

Yeah, I don't think a shirt only would go over well for kids or adults!!! :lmao:

Have Toshiba too that has been great.Wondering if should bring on cruise or leave at home? Is it worth the hassles if you don't need it really?

Also can anyone tell me which of the shore excursions they recommend in Cozumel to see the ruins and still have time to see some of the port. We are booked on the Tulum ruins but wondering if we should change.

Maybe you can buy some DCL luggage on the ship, if yours doesn't make the trip - what a great excuse!!!!!! :teeth:

Hi Deb -- we booked the San Gervasio Ruins and Beach tour in Cozumel. Didn't want to spend all day at Tulum. There will be 7 in our group doing this tour. Come and join us.
