Hey everybody - I'm back home!!! I know, I know --- "OH! Were you gone? We hadn't noticed!" :lmao:

Had a GREAT trip to WDW. Tori LOVES Expedition Everest :woohoo:

We got home just in time for the big storms that moved through Georgia last night. Angie & Julia: how did your areas do? Lots of damage around metro Atlanta, but none in our neighborhood. Amanda? Did Columbus get the bad weather? Y'all need to check in so we know all is well, OK?
Laura,
Thanks for thinking of me. We were not even in town. We went to my brothers house in FWB FLa..so we missed any "fun" weather. Thank goodness

Yeah, I don't think a shirt only would go over well for kids or adults!!! :lmao:

I can just see the looks, and hear the gasps....

(Kinda like the green thong reaction)

We always bring the laptop with us on vacations. I take TONS of pictures, and like to download them each day and start editing them at night. Leaves me with a lot less to do when we get home. I've never really worried about leaving it in the room when we're not there.

I took mine on our last cruise. I downloaded pics and typed up notes of what we did day to day and what expenses we had. I really need to do this because my mind is like a sieve, keeps the big chunks but all the little stuff flows right through :confused3 .

I'd say this about laptops. If you're just bringing it for internet access, don't bother. The shipboard pc's are standard windows xp machines now. You don't have access to any part of the actual machine, so no downloading pics or anything. But you do have desktop level access, so you can even use things like terminal server if you need that to login to your work pc or something.

If you just want to download pics at some point, Shutters does burn cdr's from your camera memory for a reasonable fee.

If you want to do like Sandi or Samantha above and do more, well, you're going to need it.

The ship does have limited Wifi (hotspots) that is a per minute fee and it isn't cheap.

We're not bringing ours, I'll just sign up for the shipboard internet package.

I won't need internet since all of my DIS friends will be on the ship with me. That is about the only site that I regularly check. Even my e-mail is boring :teeth: .

And I get a TOP with Mark and all of my DIS friends  !

You weren't wearing those "husband beater" shirts were you????? :confused3 :stir: :rolleyes1

I don't know...what are they? I was wearing Tommy Hilfiger denim shorts. The "Boyfriend" cut.

Oh wait...you said "shirts"...what kind of shirt is that? I had on a coral colored Nautica tank with satin at the shoulders and satin down the sides. Is that a "husband beater"???

That's one thing that I like better about DCL over Princess and Norwegian...DCL's "Unlimited" package. The others have a discount package, but no unlimited.

Has anyone been to Turks & Caicos, I just found out I Will be heading down there for "work" the week before our cruise...The "big" boss is sending us down on the private jet and we will be staying on his "boat" for 4 days... just wondering what it is like down there, I guess I will be surfing the web looking info, I believe the boat is docked at Turtle Cove Marina..:sunny:

I can't find the author several of you have recommended. A woman, last name Miffen, Miller, she has several books out.

Anyone remember!!!

Are you thinking of Sue Miller (author of the novels THE WORLD BELOW, WHILE I WAS GONE, THE DISTINGUISHED GUEST, FOR LOVE, FAMILY PICTURES, AND The Good Mother; the story collection Inventing the Abbotts; and the memoir THE STORY OF MY FATHER.)

Sure hope so, I really don't remember. I will get a book by her from the library this week.

Thank you so much, (I think)

Can I come 'work' for your boss??
Have fun!!! :thumbsup2

Stacey - I have been trying on summer clothes for the cruise and gotten very depressed

This sounds like a reason to go shopping!!!!! And, while you're out, you might as well pick up another "cute" pair of black sandles. :rotfl2:

(DH can't understand the "need" for 10 pairs of black sandles)

Happy Monday to all! :thumbsup2
