I'm on my Dell Inspiron 9300. We got it as a 'desktop replacement', not for it's portablility, although it will be cruising with us. We'll do our daily vacation diary, download pics, keep track of expenses (I'm OC about where all of our money goes, almost to the penny), etc. And DS can play games/dvds while we're at the airport waiting.TiggerInNY said:I am on my Dell Inspiron 6000 right now. In fact, that's MY computer in this house. I love it. It's fast, fun, and has more things on it than I could use. I got the Media Center package, and don't know how to fully use it. You will love this laptop. Good luck.

Uh, Oh!!whnim64 said:Happy Monday morning, everyone. Hope your week is a good one. DH had to go to the 'doc in the box' this weekend. He was starting to dismantle the barn using a hammer and chisel. A metal sliver from the chisel got embedded in his arm. They could see it on the x-ray, but couldn't get it out. He's supposed to get an appointent with a surgeon today! He's also going to call our family doctor for a 'second opinion' before going to a surgeon. The claims agent gave us a check yesterday to cover our storm damage. Now all we have to do is find a contractor to do the work (yeah, good luck with that).
Totally agree!! Batteries aren't light!!! Plus if you want a decent size screen, all those things "weigh" into the decision.WVMD said:The Inspiron is nice - but it's huge - and heavy...... That's the tradeoff - size and weight vs. battery life....

I wouldn't worry about it. We've left ours, plus other things in the room with never a problem.TiggerInNY said:I'm hemming and hawing whether or not to bring it. Just the thought of lugging this around and then worrying about it when we leave the room makes me think. Any suggestions?
Plumbers on crack is an ugly thing......... so sad!TiggerInNY said:Sounds like you need a plumber? I know a really good one. No plumber's crack either.![]()

TiggerInNY said:That is my quest for the day. That and cleaning bathrooms. I've started to "collect" stuff but not formally pack. Are you?
