o.k. something is just plain wrong with this picture...

My swimsuit is on That's not the wrong part :rotfl2:- I'm heading into the Y to meet with another instructor so we can recert our lifeguarding, CPR, First Aid etc before we head into April and we start training future Lifeguards and Swim instructors... ..It's 40 degrees and it's an outdoor "heated" pool! THAT'S JUST PLAIN WRONG!!!

Yes. That is wrong. It's also wrong that it's 40 in Texas and 35 in Ohio now!!

But our high today is going to be 39. Yours is going to be 64!

Ah, yes. The tornado capital of the world! :)

Susan, your son mentioned on the teen/tween board that you homeschool. :) Cool. Don't know if you knew this or not, but we do too! :)

Yes, he told me. :thumbsup2
Speaking of which, we're disecting a fish today---no, we'll throw it out; it won't be dinner! The frog will be more exciting to disect. I guess it is better that people don't know what goes on in our lab, er, I mean kitchen!!! :rotfl:

I was outside standing in front of the Y at 5:20 AM in 39 deg. temps waiting for someone to open the doors. You have to be there that early if you want to get your kids in swimming lessons. Again, the things we do for our kids! Thankfully the pool is indoors.

I got my rolling bag I ordered from Dillard's yesterday. Great bag, perfect for the wine bottles, as there is still plenty of room at the top. I think I can put 7 wine bottles in the bag:thumbsup2

I am thinking I should try it out when I go to Orlando next week to make sure it works okay and will fit in the overhead bins.

This time next week, I will be in the air on my way to Orlando. Can't wait. Hope the weather is nice and warm when I get there. Can all of you that live in the Orlando area work on that for me.;)

OK, you can call me an idiot - but how do I add my son onto the boards? He has his screen name all picked out, now I just have to figure out how to add him. It's been a while.

Thanks. And while I'm at it, how do I put 2 quotes in a post?

Now that's just LAZY!!! :lmao:

Yeah, I know, but see, what happens on Fridays is this....
I make something in the crock pot b/c KT and I have to eat early so she can get to ballet....
and then Mike comes home and eats with Nick.
Not knowing what to do with the left overs, he leaves them in the crock pot and leaves the crock pot ON...so the food doesn't spoil.
By that point there is exactly 1/2 of a cup of food in the crock pot and the sides BURN to a crisp.

So then I get home from ballet...late....and have to deal with that. BLECH.
So I'm thinking a crock pot liner will make my job SO much easier on ballet night! :)

Trying a new crock pot recipe today....

One roast.

I must be the ONLY one..........and DH can attest to this...........that can cook a roast ALL DAY in a crock pot, and STILL have it come out like shoe leather! :confused3

Gave up on "falls apart when you take it out of the crock" YEARS ago!!!!!!!

Chocolate pound cake???????? Now THAT I have perfected. You can see where my priorities lie! (and DH's)

Hi Maria!
To add your son, you should probably log out.
Then click "go to forums".
Go to the "register" button.
Fill out the form.

Sorry, I don't know how to post more than one quote.

woo hoo! That sounds like fun.
I remember disecting a frog in high school but we pithed them first (scrambled their brains) When we opened them their hearts still were beating. And did for a couple of weeks (with proper care)

And then we disected a cat (honors biology).....

And I have just the PERFECT cat for that science lesson....

here kitty kitty kitty....come here, Mowana! :)

To add your son....
log yourself out (i know, it will be hard...but you can do it...it's just for a little while)
Then, i think it's in the top left area....click "register"....
and sign up your son. :)

putting two quotes in a post involves knowing the "code" for quotes....

what you have to do is put
whoever said:
and then copy and paste what you want to quote...

then finish it off with /quote (but put it inside those brackets--I can't do it now, or it will quote what I just said)

Then if you want another one, redo the
whoever said:
process again...

clear as mud?
