OM, know what you mean about not being able to turn off a sarcastic sense of humor...My mouth is always getting me in trouble with my in-laws who aren't on the same wave length when it comes to humor - and that's face to face - not even in e-mails...

Man, I can't even count the number of times my parents had to go into school for an impromptu conference and TRY to explain to my teachers that I can't help it!! And then I'd get the lecture telling me I needed to TRY to keep my sarcastic comments to myself!!

Good Morning All - My BIL in Pa is in the hospital with viral meningitis (sp). Not the kind that is very fatal. Poor sister just moved there and hasn't made many friends yet. Drove up yesterday and may go up on Sunday. Oh, wait, Sunday her realtor has an open house scheduled so I must go and run the vacuum, wipe the counters, flush the toilets, feed the fish, turn up the heat .......

Man, I can't even count the number of times my parents had to go into school for an impromptu conference and TRY to explain to my teachers that I can't help it!! And then I'd get the lecture telling me I needed to TRY to keep my sarcastic comments to myself!!

The problems probably all stemmed from the fact that I knew more than my teachers! HA HA or at least I thought I did.

The worst was my algebra teacher who INSISTED we go through EVERY step to solve a problem. Why should I? I knew how to skip the middle 4 steps and still come up with the right answers. I'd do the steps in my head. It was faster, and still accurate. I probably made a smart&^# comment about that....many times.

Good Morning All - Double digit Dancing....as well

Slept late this am - yeah! Sleep is good.

Today - it is beautiful in Florida...

No outside activities (boo). Must write a paper for presentation in April - yes, I did leave it to hte last minute.

So - one hour of writing, one hour os house work - check the boards....etc.


And the paper and housework will be done...at least that is the plan.

It's always good to be able to evaluate the cracking point of your teachers and stay just shy of that.

Unfortunately THAT was a skill I didn't have!!!!

not a problem there - my dad was a h.s. math teacher in my school - showing work was non-negotiable... I've even made Mike call grandpa to see if math teachers mind 5 or 6 pages stapled together because it takes more paper to show all the steps... I come by my sense of humor through my father - he received the mayflower moving award when he retired - the ability to clear a room quickly and efficiently just by telling a joke...

Congratulations. Now time to pick up your dive computer. Just another toy!

Oh Jim, Sam gave me dive computer for Christmas - And since you asked.....(yes, you did, you really did) It is an Oceanic - Pro-Plus 2.

Works great - except for operator error......

Instructor told me to take up video games...I have the "thumbs" for it , yeah right.

I get left and right mixed up in the best of times........

There were only 2 in our class. Insructor knows Oceanic but he was not as familiar with Linda's - an older model ????Mares???? that she picked up on clearance, so the demonstration was taken up with hers. But he stayed after and walked me through and then we went to dinner...It is nice to be friends with your dive instructor!!!!

Since the majority of the teachers - especially the math department - watched me grow up - I had a small bit of leeway...but, then again - I had the fear of God put into me that I better not step out of line - I was held to a higher standard...

We got together with one of the math teachers and his wife when they visited Houston last year - she even made the comment I really came into my own personality after h.s. much more outgoing instead of this meek, quiet little thing...

Went with a friend.

Great guy.

In the threatre.

And, found out later in life, he likes boys!

But, we had lots of fun....

Dress was pretty, my first real fancy dress that Mother and I purchased, and was not hand me down (pity, pity).

She still has the picture somewhere...

I thought "what if they don't submit my shirt order or they get the kid's theirs, but don't get me mine".....what if they don't want anyone on the ship to know I'm part of "those people." WAAAAA

Great job!! Keep up the good work. Now you have to take your new camera under and get some pictures!! Working with a camera forces you to really hone the buoyancy control. It's ALL good!!

Wow, a TOP shared with Irene, diving, cameras, beer, chickens and nitrox!!!

I think I shall just sink to the bottom and think...... Too much to keep up with. I think Matt's fish butt pictures will be gems compared to what I produce with the manual camera....at least at first.....
