I'm still going upstairs for Sail-away. I love the festive mood, the music, the kids...the excitement. That's one thing about a Disney cruise that is SOOOO much more fun than the other cruise lines!!
And besides....aren't we going to have a DIS MEET????

you actually want to MEET these people in real life? don't you know how DANGEROUS that could be meeting people over the internet????

Yea, the DISmeet..that's what I thought, too. Can't miss that. Especially since it will be the first time I meet a lot of you guys.

I thought we just aren't supposed to meet STRANGE people from the Internet.
I can only speak for myself when I say "I am not STRANGE".

So that means we'll be on the "right" side for something...waahhoo!!! Come on over, but I think we'll be on deck 9 or 10 for the sailaway. We're new at this, remember?
We're not new to this, but on our first cruise the sailway was moved into the atrium due to rain showers. We wanted to be there, but it was way too crowded to see anything. :crowded:

Anyone been to see Brokeback Mountain? I'm trying to talk DH into going this weekend, but not sure if he'll go. What are some other good flicks playing right now?

I had a food emergency this afternoon - John had put Cincinnati Chili in the crockpot for our friend who had foot surgery on Monday. At noon, I went to lift up the crockpot to put it into a box to take it to her house, and the handle fell off and chili went all over in the box - thankfully, contained in the box or the dog would have been in 7th heaven - Thankfully, John planned on taking the afternoon off as a suprise to join me for lunch with my senior water aerobics group and fixed another pot on the stove...

I'm going to have to purchase another crockpot ASAP - can't live without my crockpot!!!

share your favorite recipes!!!
I'm making beef stew in mine today. I make chili in it. Have made chicken breast concoctions on occassions, but would like to use it MUCH MUCH more.

oatmeal in the crock pot is yummy. we made that every day for awhile.

My favorite, so-easy even I can make them receipe - is a shredded pork w/ red salsa - pork loin covered with salsa and chopped onions - low for 5-6 hours - remove meat - shred and return to crockpot for another hour. Serve in Tortillas, top with cheese, lettuce, sour cream - more salsa and onion if desired...

left overs are good over baked potatoes, too...

the other is shredded chicken and potato with green salsa...

4-6 chicken breasts - add a jar of green salsa and onions cook 4-6 hours on low. Remove chicken, shred, return to pot - add hashbrown potatoes and cook for another 1/2 hr or until tender...

serve in Tortillas - with sour cream and monterey jack cheese - green salsa, and onion if desired...

Both receipes usually have left overs so, we eat in various variations like over rice.

For awhile, I was buying an crockpot cookbook in the check-out aisle every time one was issued - I'm not a big fan of beef stew - so, I was looking for other creative ideas...

you guys are the salsa, tortilla family, aren't you?

wondering how my kids will do with so much spicy. They aren't big fans of it. But I don't think they are big fans of starving to death either!! :lmao:
