Crock pot favorite:
Tortellini junk (I don't know what the real name is)

Brown 1 - 2 lbs ground Italian sausage, place in crockpot with:
1 bag frozen tortellini
1 lg. jar spaghetti sauce
1 small jar mushrooms (obviously can leave these out if you don't like them)

Let cook all day. Fifteen minutes before serving, top with shredded mozzerella cheese. Yum.

mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.....sounds yummy.

have you ever COOKED this? I didn't know you cooked? :stir:

mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. i do have a pork loin in the freezer. won't defrost by tomorrow.

Sure it will. Just put it in the sink and cover with warm water. Keep changing the water out when it gets cold and it should be defrosted in a couple of hours. Don't let it sit in the sink after it is defrosted. Double bag it too just in case there is a leak.

OM - you know I wouldn't send you to the CB very often but i think you can help with this thread. http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1020595

I would, except I'd be saying the same thing that everyone else has said. I should tell her though that everyone else is lying about the weather. If she likes grey, cloudy and rainy, this is the place for her. :)

Thanks for thinking of me though, but I really wouldn't add any new insights.

I guess we must have scared the men away with our cooking talk...although I don't know why...they are ALL the best cooks we know!! ::yes:: ::yes::

We are paying attention, but don't want to interupt because it is such a treat to hear women talking about cooking. :rotfl2:

I just figured out why the men aren't talking....because none of them would stoop to using a crock pot! ;)

It's not like they wouldn't stoop to it, it's that they have the TIME to cook....
now, if they picked up cooking, cleaning, childcare, laundry and errands, they TOO would be "stooping" and using a crock pot!!

p.s. did you know that the term "Crock Pot" is actually a registered trademark of Rival? I was looking for a new one (big one) and everytime I searched for "Crock pot" only Rival brands came up. They are "slow cookers." Kinda like how we use the word "Jello" to mean any kind of jiggly gelatin. :)

And then there are the tarnished ones...........

I'd like to have someone's crockpot chili recipe. I've never made that before.

Monica, find that gumbo recipe for me. Being a cajun girl, I usually like Emeril's recipes.

Ang

We use the "Wick Fowler" chili seasoning pack. Best chili I've ever had/made. We do add some beans to it so it's not all meat. VERY spicy, but Mike and I like it that way. (you can adjust how much spices you add)

Not a Skyline chili fan. Something about their sauce isn't quite right to me. If they called it something OTHER than "chili" I'd probably be ok, but when I hear "chili" I expect a different taste.

Every once in a blue moon, I do cook. Honest! I made the tortellini last night. Jay & Jared both fainted when they saw real food on the table, but after that, they enjoyed it.

Crock Pot, Jello, KLEENEX.....anybody think of more???

I've hit another milestone in my recovery process. I've completely given up all pain-relief drugs - that includes the Extra-strength Tylenol. I was looking forward to going out & enjoying my first alcoholic beverage in over 3 months but we had bingo at the elementary school instead.

:cheer2: A T.O.P. for my milestone! :cheer2:

Ang

You should go to the elementary school by kikiKaren....they serve BEER!!!!

Don't worry....we haven't paid off ours yet either. Waiting till the last possible day.

And we don't have airline tickets.
And we don't have a place to stay the night before.
And we don't have a rental car.

We do have a place to go AFTER the cruise....WDW of course! And we have our DVC room there!

Do you know how sick the cat will be if he eats an entire pork roast tonight?

hello.........

Yes? You're supposed to either give a SLOW COOKER recipe, or tell us the name of something common that's really a Brand Name. You ARE going to play the game, aren't you??

You can lay a cookie sheet over the sink, weigh it down with books, and Mowana can't get at it.
