Stacey,

I saw that one, too. I would LOVE a casino on the cruise. But, I guess it doesn't go with the Disney image. Like one poster said, it doesn't have to be a "smokey" room. I think I'm in the minority on that post. I was thinking of posting, but changed my mind.

I agree too - I would appreciate a non-smoking casino... Even when we lived in Joliet, IL and the river boats started - I think we went twice - took $20 bucks each - when it was gone - it was gone and we had fun people watching for the rest of the time. We do the same on RCCL - earmark $20pp for the week - usually killing time before dinner or a show -

Happy Monday!

Congratulations Maria on your Steelers winning. Sorry, but I was rooting for the Broncos. Even though I like both Carolina and Seattle, glad Seattle made it.

We spent the weekend at a swim meet with Ashley and she ended up doing well. She came in 3rd for the overall, missing 2nd by 1 point. She had best times in 6 out of 8 events, so she was really pleased. Her next meet is in two weeks, but she will miss the first day because she will be at a band camp. So many activities going on right now.

Still no booklet from DCL for me.

OM - Thoughts and prayers!!

Lisa - Congratulation!!!

Stacey - Stay away from the main board....... Glad Megan and Jordan are doing OK....

Go Steelers!!!!!

In honor of the Steelers, I will post in black today.

Virgil - Was that a GAME or was that a GAME? All the sports announcers were picking Denver. I love it. I think the Steelers like being the underdog, too. I hear they're the favorite though for the Superbowl. We are hosting a Superbowl party (anyone in the NY area is welcome to come) and my DH said he will get everyone coming a pair of earplugs. I am not the quiet type watching my team play. I have one neighbor who is from Pittsburgh who I can celebrate with. Can you believe I don't have a Pittsburgh jersey or even a T-shirt? I think I outgrew them...oops! But it will be an exciting day all the same. This will be hard hosting a party and trying to concentrate all at the same time. I will probably be with "the guys" while most of the women-folk will be in the other room. I can't help it. I have 4 older brothers and on Sunday, that's what was on TV. If you can't beat 'em, join 'em.

NY WEATHER!!! We had a little snow overnight along with some rain and freezing rain. 2 hour delay for school. Thank God they didn't close it.

OK, better get going on the housework and food shopping. Everyone have a great day.

Maria

Welcome back, Irene, what did you eat? You went to our two favorites at WDW! Of course, we've only been to V&A once. Will you be going back for the DVC preview of Expedition Everest? We want a report!

I can drop a few nickels in the slots, but usually only if there's nothing else to do. There are also many other choices on the DCL cruises, not so much on other cruise lines I think. DCL has Entertaining or Behind the Scenes programs every day, plus there's usually a movie to choose from. All of which I'd rather do. But if an itty bitty casino tucked in a corner somewhere would lower my cruise fare, I'd be for it! I don't think it will ever happen though, so there's not much sense in arguing over it. I'm not so sure that the lack of casino is the real reason for DCL charging a premium price, though. I think they charge it because they CAN!

Maria - your charge is to make enough noise we hear you in Florida. Congrats on the win. :cheer2:

I must admit we are not knowlegable about DVC - so we will need to research on the preview - when is it?

As to what we ate, menu's I hope to be posted later.

Now that would be something to add to the cruise, pole dancers. Skip the casino, we want pole dancers!!! :lmao:

I hope you're not looking for volunteers!

We used DVC points for November - did not have magnets, did not even have a welcome home computer paper sign, like folks did in January......

Not that we are greedy.... :sad2:

Speak for yourself! I am! :teeth:

Hello all!

It's another rainy day here in GA - 3rd day in a row!

Congrats to Ashley on doing so well at her swim meet. We've got some amazing kids in this group!

The Superbowl won't be exciting me too much this year. I guess I'll be watching it for the commercials.

Angie

Not a big football fan myself, but the super bowl with all it's diversions is fun to watch sometimes.

Especially, when it gets you a TOP!!

Not much posting going on today. Bet it because everyone is getting that pesky little "Server busy" message.

I've tried posting 4 separate times today, with no luck... guess the server's trying to tell me to get back to work.

Well, take my "brownie" away...the diet's over. LISA took control of the keyboard and headed for the main boards. :ccat:

I had to go to the school to pick up Jordan from the nurse's office. She's in bed now. She had a temp (just under 100°) and was feeling sick. Maybe I should send LISA to the cheer coach's house.................:scared:

Diversions, like "wardrobe malfunctions"...

Well, a glimmer of good news here. KT's eye pressures are down....slightly. They were 27 and 31. They are now 25 and 28. Eye pressures can fluctuate hour by hour, day by day, so although they are "better" they are still going to watch her closely. Also her visual field testing was fine. No loss of peripheral vision.

But I'm not letting you of the hook in sending prayers and PD for that other unknown thing. ;)

btw, GREAT job, LISA and ASHLEY!! :cheer2:

I took Molly to the vet today, even though Sharon wanted me to deal with an issue with her car. My sleep is more important!

Molly has an infection and we are treating with drugs. Hopefully that will take care of it, but if not an ultrasound is next.

The best part of the vet visit was watching the tech get a urine sample from the dog. Every time Molly squated the tech would rush in with her tupperware. Makes me appreciate my job!!

Matt had to comment that I won't let Lisa take Advil when she hurts herself at the gym unless there is blood, but yet we have the dog on mediciation.

:lmao: That would either scare the pee right out her or the opposite!! :rolleyes1

OM, that does sound like good news, glad to hear it.

Are we the only Netflix subscribers here? Just wondering if anybody else has trouble getting new releases? They always say "long wait" and get skipped over, even if they're at the top of my queue.
