Diana, Cave Tubing is just what it sounds like.....riding an inner tube through the underground river.....it sounds like it would be fun, if you didn't have a fear of enclosed, dark spaces, bats and snakes. I think that means you won't see ME doing it! LOL

Morning all...

I'm a bit under the weather today. Eyes running, coughing, nose running and I'm looking oh so pretty. Kids are home from school. Veteran's Day. 2nd day off this week.

Anyway...we could use some pixie dust and prayers over here. Just found out on Wednesday that my FIL has stomach cancer. He's 82 and had 1/2 of his stomach taken out 50 years ago. So, if they do the surgery the remaining stomach will probably not be enough to nourish him, so it looks like a feeding tube. We're just not too sure yet. It's quite the blow to my hubby and he's taking it pretty hard. Both of our moms passed away already and I lost my dad in May. So, he's the only Pop Pop that we have. We're pretty close to him. How do you tell your kids that their only Grandparent is sick? I tried to explain in a gentle way that Pop Pop's tummy is sick and he may need an operation. This really stinks. I could use other words, but I don't want to get tagged. Whatever prayers you could throw this way would be most helpful. I'll keep you posted.

Stacey, would you please post that you have not done this and are only assuming it has snakes and bats.

Hey, Sharon, that sounds like a pretty cool excursion! And Jim is willing to skip diving to go with you? I'd take it, with some stipulations. 1) he gets to go first, in case of critters; and 2) he gets to carry your tube during the hike. Sound good?

Do I detect a TONE in your voice, young man??? FINE. Dear Sharon, I don't know how Jim knows this, but I haven't been Cave Tubing. I did do a cave snorkel once that I was scared to death to do, and I ended up loving every minute of it! Look at the site, read Cruise Critic, and then take Diana's advice with stipulations, and GO FOR IT!!
