Good Morning - a quikc post before all day meetings.
Friends Dad will be admitted to Hospice today. It is a beautiful facility (her mother was there in January) and I will be leaving after work. Thanks to everyone for the support and prayers, I am sorry I cannot thank you each individually.
Update on realtives in England - My second cousins both work in London. Sammy is a nurse but on the opposite side of the financial district - she was called in ASAP but the devastation, while horrid, was not as first feared and they did not need as many hospitals to triage the wounded. My other cousin Nick, recently took a job in the financial district, but yesterday he road his bike to work, instead of taking the tube. His exit is King's Cross.
We count ourselves very lucky. Mother is fine, taking it in toll - and like many in the UK, she expected this after the Olympic celebration. We did not know that Nick had taken the new job, so she was spared the anxiety of waiting to hear how he was.
Prayers for those in the path of the storm. The Keys are bracing for wind, but let us hope it is mild. Evacuations have been orders. I do not know how Pennsacola can stand another storm, they are not rebuilt after 2004. Much prayers and pixie dust for them
South Florida is very worried about any extra rain. Our lakes, canals etc are full.....Damage has already occurred in agricultural areas due to the heavy rainfall in June. Many fingers crossed right now.
And the water is off in the building so I cannot have coffee. How DARE I complain about that.
Again, thanks for your support. I have not even met you guys yet but the wishes are wonderful. The post yesterday of the cruise for the Service Dad was the SMILE I needed (ok - tears too).
I need help to make up my 4 posts please.
