Every time we go "home", a guy at work asks if we'll be hitting the casinos. We never do. We're just not big gamblers. We lived in Henderson, NV (Vegas suburb) for a while. We'd hit the casinos every weekend for entertainment but still rarely gambled. I just can't part with my money!

Angie
I give mine to Mickey and the slot machines! Oh yeah, my kids get a bit here and there....:sunny:

Amanda, y'all getting much rain yet? It's rumbling here. Not sure if just the "afternoon" rain or fall-out from Cindy. I talked to my parents and they were in the clear in southern Louisiana. We haven't talked to Bruce's mom though - she's in southern Mississippi. I guess tomorrow will be a washout.

Time to go pack my work-out clothes for the morning & hit the sack.

Ang

I guess I am way out of the loop I had NO idea there was another system coming......is it a TS/TD/a hurricane.....?????

Yeah, yeah... I thought about the triplet possiblity...but obviously, they've got enough to occupy their time these days.

My cousin has triplets... they're 5... she's still got her hands full!!

Cruise question - cruise question - cruise question - cruise question :boat:

Now that I have your attention --- I have a friend with two small children (sorry about 2 and 5, I think) and she is "worried" that she cannot take her children on a Disney cruise because they get very excited and may "upset" the older adults, example she used, 80 year seniors. She is not sure they will sit through dinner.

Hey Chip&dale&fun!
Tell her she has no need to worry! Its Disney! and Kids 1-100+ is what its all about!!! :goodvibes
We have taken out childern the past two years and they are just now 2 and 5 years old this past trip, (subtract the last year and hafe and they where pretty young when we first started to go in 2004).
People understand at dinner and everyone is talking during the dinners, music and such. ( But if the childern were being wild running around everywhere and yelling- well I think that none of us no matter how young or old would not like that going on during DCL or anywhere really except for maybe C. Cheese LOL )
So tell her to please go and have Fun!

I think the VERY best thing about where I live now is that there is no longer a Chuck E. Cheese within 30 miles of my house!!!:Pinkbounc I'd rather go to the dentist than be subjected to that place!!!!

Ding ding ding....
I have an announcement to make. And a dilemma. The events planner from NY NY called...they took me off the waiting list and found me a spot on the ship.
They didn't have a cancellation...they just did it. I don't know why, I don't think to ask these questions.
Problem: I have stupid confinement issues. There's a strong possiblity that they are only inside staterooms. Will I freak out in one?
It also sounds like they are flying non-stop from Las Vegas to Miami. I don't do well with non-stops...see above.....(confinement)
Two: Jay may or may not be able to go...I can't go alone. Or could I? No...I couldn't....I need to have someone with me.
Three: They need the registration form filled out and faxed back by tomorrow night! So, if Jay couldn't go, am I supposed to be on the phone all night, begging a friend or relative (with a passport) to come along and babysit me?

I'm sorry, I know this seems stupid....I could just tell them I can't go. But for pity sake, it's free.........It's different ports......I love cruising......I love the ocean......
Not expecting for anyone to feel sorry for me, I just truly do have those stupid little "issues" (I hate that word) and I hope someone has some advice. Would I go nuts in a small inside room? (smaller than DCL)

#1... You'll be fine... I have stayed in NCL's inside staterooms.. they are small... and I have confinement issues and do just fine!!!

#2... I'll volunteer!!! Passport ready! Or you could bring LISA!!!!

Very very cool!

You will be fine in an inside room if all you use the room for is to sleep.

As for non-stops - wow that is all I want to take. :) Again i think you will be fine.

I really hope Jay can go - it would be great for you! Any chance Megan could get a week off for some Mother-Daughter time.

Bottom line - you won't go nuts in a small inside room? Why? Because you already our nuts? ;)

See what happens when you ask friends like us for advice...:rotfl2:

Oppps - sorry Karen - caught a grammer mistake. It should be because you already ARE nuts. I put OUR nuts.

  I'm nuts to freak over a GOOD thing.........it's just that those "issues" (I hate that word) are so REAL.
Jay is thinking that he wants to go....well, I KNOW he wants to...but the kids, school, work....??? This is too short a notice.....
But then, so was the Mexican Riviera and I jumped at that......
We're going to sit down and discuss it now...he just got home from work.

Are you sure the inside rooms won't make me claustrophobic?

What are you talking about our nuts for??? LOL

Can you stand inside a very large walk-in closet? How about a hotel bathroom? I think you'll be surprised... besides, once you turn the light off it is so dark you can't see your hand in front of your face... you can imagine your verandah room around you.... if not... have another Margarita!!

Stacey, can you possibly pay the difference for a balcony room? If you know the sailing, you can check availability online. Don't know what to do about the flight though. Yeah, take it! Somebody will be able to go with you!

How fun is that??

You could always "avoid" the problem and only use the room to sleep in. There's gotta be lots of other options than standing in the room, looking at the walls....... :rotfl2:

Hey all, we made it back from Carlsbad Caverns. We all had a good time and took lots of pictures with Scoopie. we went to the bat flight at dusk on Sunday night and it was incredible. approximately 400,000 bats came out of the cave. Monday morning we hiked all the way down the cave. It truly is an incredible place. Haven't had a chance to look through the photos yet, and not sure when. This is an incredibly busy week and we have a huge swim meet here this Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Kiki...I LIKE your thinking! Margaritas!!

Taking showers in there and sleeping in there are no biggie....I just wonder if I would have trouble if I couldn't get some air...or even see the light of day....I won't know until I try. I need to face that.......

Diana, I don't know if I could upgrade or not. I e-mailed my TA to ask her if she knows...she does those things all the time.
I just looked at this cruise online....except for the Royal Family Suites, it looks like they have a ton of rooms available. And the prices are not at all expensive. When there's a promotion like this, I have a feeling they wouldn't let you use the cost of the original room to upgrade....if I were the gambling type  I'd bet my last dollar on it. But the rooms that overlook the promenade sure look cool...just like any hotel room, with a window looking at the mall. That might be as close to heaven as I could ever get. On a ship, looking at a mall, the ocean just outside......:cloud9:
