Maria - great news. So glad to hear it wasn't as bad as last time. I agree with Stacey - no strangers here. As we said before the 10 day - this is just a group of friends I haven't met yet.

Now they tell me…

Subject: Words women use

Fine
This is the word women use to end an argument when they are right and you need to shut up.

Five Minutes

If she is getting dressed, this is half an hour.

Five minutes is only five minutes if you have just been given 5 more minutes to watch the game before helping around the house.

Nothing

This is the calm before the storm. This means "something" and you should be on your toes. Arguments that begin with "nothing" usually end in "fine".

Go Ahead

This is a dare, not permission, DON'T DO IT!

Loud Sigh

Although not actually a word, the loud sigh is often misunderstood by men. A "Loud Sigh" means she thinks you are an idiot and wonders why she is wasting her time standing here and arguing with you over "Nothing".

That's Okay

This is one of the most dangerous statements that woman can make to a man. "That's Okay" means that she wants to think long and hard before deciding how and when you will pay for your mistake.

Thanks

This is the least used of all words in the female vocabulary. If a woman is thanking you. Do not question it, just say you're welcome and back out of the room slowly

:rotfl2: how true - I think we covered that in "husband training 101", right?

The dead duck one was good too...

Pam, is your son in G/T? Siblings usually wind up really close in those scores.

Diana -- Yes, my son was in GT all of elementary and middle school and now is in all pre AP classes in high school. He is extremely bright. He is more introverted. My daughter on the other hand, is the extrovert, very outgoing and very athletic. Two very different children in the same household.

Pam

Well guys, just got home from a very long day. Left this morning at 7:00 and have only been home about 20 minutes. Once a month I have to attend a meeting for work that goes to about 8 p.m. Left at 8:15 and went to my son's concert band competition. I left after the concert and before the site reading, so I don't know how their scores came out. They sounded incredible. They have a truly amazing band. DH and DS still have not gotten home. Thank goodness they are not making the kids be there at 6:45 like all the other days. He can actually sleep in and go to school when everyone does tomorrow at 8:15.

Thanks for everyone's comments about DD. I didn't want her to do the testing at school when all of the kids were doing it, that way if she didn't make it, she wouldn't have to tell everyone, only those she wants to. I will need to call the district offices and see when they will be doing testing. My luck, it will be when we are gone to Disney.

One more post before going to bed:) . Boy, when we decide to do something, we really do it. Changed our outgoing flight to Disney this morning. DH really wanted to do a couple of days at Universal. Since we booked the flights on Southwest, the was a flight leaving at the same time on Monday, June 6 instead of the one we booked on Wednesday, June 8. Changed the flights and no increase in fare. Got a room at the Hard Rock ($224 - ouchhhh) and that was with an AP discount.

Kids are going to be so surprised when we get to Albuquerque and they find out we are headed to WDW:cool1: Just can't wait to get there. I think I really need a vacation now.

My mom called today and wanted to know if we wanted to spend Memorial Day at Lake Buchanan down around Austin. DH for sure can't go, maybe I can get a couple of days and take the kids.

Gotta go and get some sleep, tomorrow morning is going to come too soon.

:flower1:Good morning cruisers!:flower1:

Happy Thursday!

Another week going by quickly! Looks like it is going to be a beautiful day in Chicagoland. Have a great day everyone!

Good morning everyone!

Looks like another georgeous day in NY...sun is out and life is good. Only getting up to aroune 58 degrees, but we'll take it. This weekend is another good one. WAAAHHOOO!! Looks like Spring has finally sprung here.

Does anyone else's husband think they're crazy for being on these boards soooo much? My husband laughs at me when he comes into the computer room and sees me on "the boards". He shakes his head and tells me I'm addicted for sure. hahahaha Maybe I am..I don't mind. Just curious to see if anyone else is in the same boat as me. No pun intended. :rotfl2:

Well, I guess I better get to my housework and shower. The EPA is going to start calling soon. LOL

TTFN,
Maria

Yes Maria, John thought I was absolutely insane to spend so much time lurking on the boards last year before our first cruise.

Although, he and fil weren't thrilled with the "hurry up and wait" to get on the first bus and in line waiting to get on board. Laughing at me sitting on the floor planning a schedule plugging in dinner rotation, kids' important activities in the club, and shore excursion times (yes, at times I do hyphenate anal rentive)...Then when I started handing out assignments of who was going where, when palo reservations should be scheduled, tea w/wendy, kids club registration, leaving me to hightail it to the spa - there was mutiny even before we were on board. But, they changed their tune when we were all finished and enjoying the buffet in less than 1/2 hr after boarding!

He couldn't figure out why I wanted to bring the shoe holder, either - but, at least once a day - he mentioned how handy it was for the little stuff...

I just smugly smiled and replied - thank the DIS'ers! Now, if I don't post some little tidbit of information - he keeps asking "what's new on Dis?"

OMG...I just realized that I have 404 posts!! That's about 2 years worth..Maybe I AM on here too much!! NOT!! :goodvibes

OK, I'm REALLY going to do some housework now.

TTFN,
Maria

Monica, sounds like yours is ready to be indocrinated. Tell him it's time to pick out a DIS boards ID and then get his Borg plug ready...
