I'm glad our cars don't run on milk - $2.99 gal - :earseek:

I actuallythink my gas bill is a bit lower than my milk costs :rotfl2: - I fill my car about every 10-14 days/14 gallon tank. We go through 4-6 gallons of milk per week...

Happy Tuesday!

Pretty quiet on the thread last night. Maybe everyone was recovering from their great weekends.

Hope everyone has a great day today!

Well, my "baby" received her Middle School packet for next year. Most of the form was easy to complete - either one class only choice (PE) or the level of the class had already been selected by the Teacher (Lisa will have advanced Math and advanced Science). They are allowed one elective choice from three electives. Unfortunately two of the electives have required after school rehersals and performances - so that knocked out Lisa's first choice (Dance) and her second choice (Band - she plays the flute) and left her with the only remaining "choice" - Home Ec one semester and Agriculture the other. She was very disappointed. Matt had so many more choices when he went there. I think all of the overcrowding at the Middle School is making them limit what they can offer. Oh well, I am sure she will make the best of it. (As Jim will certainly say - once again Gymnastics (5 days a week) rules her life. AND his point is . . . . . .) :confused3

Another milestone reached, Sharon. Sort of prepares you for the high school packet, I guess! Alicia decided to do Swing Choir in 6th grade, it was a zero hour class. But then the teacher started adding evening and weekend rehearsals, and she had to drop it. It interfered with dance!

Good news, the Performing Arts school got it's charter renewed. We still don't know if Alicia will be going though.

We need to send :Pinkbounc POSITIVE :Pinkbounc vibes their way!!

She WILL get in!!! :rolleyes1

Did you hear about the Buddhist who refused Novocain during a root canal? His goal: transcend dental medication. :rotfl2:

(Don't shoot the messenger - it's from my dh, John....)

Just in case that last one wasn't bad enough...

Mahatma Gandhi, as you know, walked barefoot most of the time, which produced an impressive set of calluses on his feet. He also ate very little, which made him rather frail and with his odd diet, he suffered from bad breath. This made him ..... A super calloused fragile mystic hexed by halitosis.

Maybe Lisa & Elizabeth will be in the same Home Ec class- she's taking it 'by default' too... although she shares her Dad's love for cooking, and thinks it will be fun (who am I to burst her bubble). She has had a very tough year in Math and Science due to an unruly old hag of a teacher, so Advanced classes are not in her near future.

Still trying to figure out if our neighborhood will still get the bus next year... she wants to walk or ride her bike, anyway.

So anyone getting tired of the gas prices??

I just filled up today for $1.61 a gallon!!! That's right, NOT a typo! Seems if you spend enough $$ on groceries at Giant Eagle, they give you a coupon for $0.50 off PER GALLON of gas!!

Ok...so you've figured it out....I'm back! Had to run to Cleveland this weekend after a VERY busy last week. My neice was in town with her brand new dh and we celebrated that and threw her a baby shower. I'm beat! Mike seemed to manage here at home by himself. Tore down part of a fence by the hot tub. Did some other things that have been waiting to be done.

Will try to get pictures of the bathroom. Of course it's not *totally* done. Still need some casing around our cabinet/shelves and the border we have. Plus some touch up paint. But it's *mostly* done! I, of course, will not know how to post them to the internet, but I can ask Mike to do it. :) "Hi, Mike, I'm home....post these pictures for me....would ya please, CUPCAKE?" ;)

About a year ago we had our chimney taken down during our kitchen remodel. They took all the bricks out and started to leave. I mentioned that there was rain predicted for that night.

They were only leaving it for the night? When they tore down our lean-to shed in preparation for the sunroom to be added, they drywalled the wall the shed had been on. Unfortunately, the room hadn't even been ORDERED yet---the shed had to come down first in order to get correct measurements so the custom room could be ordered. Then it was going to take about 4 weeks to come in......ok, so you'll leave bare drywall for FOUR weeks in central Ohio weather???? DUH!!! Thing is, everyone working on the room thought there wouldn't be a problem!!

:wave2: Hi Ohminnie!! Thanks for the pictures! What a great pick-me-up.....excellent shots. I love the ones inside the rides at WDW, mine are never that clear.

Stacey, looks like you added a cruise! How nice to do the 10 day again. We would need to win the lottery, though, and you know the chances of that!

I need to get DD to pick some numbers for me. She's lucky at getting her name drawn for stuff.

I'm doing a quick check in. Just got home from 2 days at Pinehurst. Had some great meals and enjoyed their wonderful spa this morning. Most everyone else played golf this morning. I figured why frustrate myself with golf. I would rather have someone rub hot oil over my body. It was wonderful.

I'm packing tonight and leave in the morning for Crystal River. Two more days of meetings. Yes, being on Crystal River means I am packing dive gear. They gave us the option of a full day of fishing or 1/2 day. I took the half day and will dive the rest. Those meetings are just brutal!

Yeah... sounds a lot like the 'brutal' meetings that I am 'forced' to attend... :rotfl2:

I'm still playing the lottery....just beause it's booked, doesn't mean we'll actually get to go. I keep hoping that if it is here, in writing, long enough...it will happen. That doesn't always work, though.

Don't "work" too hard Jim....;) I love Pinehurst...such a gorgeous place!

OK..construction update*** Got almost the entire hole dug out, but we came upon some water seeping into the hole. So, we have the pump working 24/7 now. Until we could get the footings in and some gravel down. Shouldn't be a problem...famous last words. Keep your fingers crossed and a little pixie dust couldn't hurt. :wizard: I also have to have an endoscopy tomorrow. Stomach problems...had one about 8 years ago and am still scared!! Somebody come and hold my hand please. Mommy!!!! I think the kids are braver than I.

Gotta go now. Amazing Race is coming on and I need my beauty rest. LOL :rotfl2:

TTFN,
Maria

I can't hold your hand... my arms aren't that long... but I CAN pray for you, and send lots of good wishes your way. Take care!
