Love the pictures, Stacey - Especially the "Nosepicker from Outer Field" :rotfl2:

I like the hottub and pool - the ballparks are really trying to become more "fan friendly" with gimmics and additional entertainment apart from the game.

The Astro's Minute Maid park has a flagpole smack dab in the middle of the warning track of centerfield...duh...There's a slight incline before the pole to help "warn" the outerfielders...Other than that - it is a wonderful ballpark.

The internet went down again this morning - it's amazing how much I accomplished without the lure of the computer...Now I'm really supposed to be cleaning upstairs. I'm dusting the keyboard as I type... :lmao:

...but don't get her started, she has gotten me in trouble before answering that question...

Hey.... THAT didn't sound right... what he MEANS is that his guy friends don't want me talking to their wives/girlfriends... because Ray does just about everything around the house, and makes his lazy friends look bad.

A friend just sent me these in an e-mail... :lmao:

How come we choose from just two people to run for
president and over fifty for Miss America?

A good friend will come to bail you out of jail...but, a true friend will be sitting next to you saying, "Wow...that was fun!"

I signed up for an exercise class and was told to wear loose-fitting clothing. If I HAD any loose-fitting clothing, I wouldn't have signed up in the first place!

When I was young we used to go "skinny dipping," now I just "chunky dunk."

Don't argue with an idiot; people watching may not be able to tell the difference.

Wouldn't it be nice if whenever we messed up our life we could simply press 'Ctrl Alt Delete' and start all over?

And remember: life is like a roll of toilet paper. The closer it gets to the end, the faster it goes.

Sorry, Ang....but I just had to post this one of the Braves player who should be reminded it's not polite to pick your nose in public. Especially when there are TV cameras and people sitting right in the outfield with cameras.

Stacey, too funny! I wish I could say that I'm more of Braves fan than I am. A co-worked tried to get me to take off last week to head down to a 1:00 PM game against the Marlins. I may have had it not been for the cruise.

:lmao: I know the feeling, I have one of those great husbands, too, who cook, clean, and willingly taxis the kids to their activities, and will even do laundry, and iron. He prefers to go to the grocery store by himself because he knows where everything is and he can get in and out of there quickly without any additional items leaping into the cart...

I never want brag because I'm afraid it may make ME look lazy... :lmao:

I have the greatest husband simply because he puts up with ME!

And on that note..I'm leaving. Guess I'll just go gather the invoices and bring them home to work on.

Jared has to go to the eye doc to get his glasses adjusted and then I have to pick Jordan up from Dance practice, go to get something to cook for dinner.....blah blah blah. But it's our last basically "quiet" night until we leave.

But the question is....what does he leave for YOU? :lmao: :lmao:

I don't wear a swimsuit, there's no way I'd be caught on TV in one.

So, Stacey - you were in the pool with NO swimsuit..... :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: Dare I draw the next conclusion.... :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1

Had to edit...prior post about teasing, did not come through :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Thanks for the compliment! I'm glad you liked the article. Don't worry too much about OM's $2.50. She gets ALL my money anyway! :lmao:

Yeah, but I really don't think we have any of those in this group... now, your old OFFICE and our old NEIGHBORHOOD on the other hand... THOSE are the guys you got the most crap from!!!

Let's see... this weekend... we shared the laundry chores (REAL laundry), I hunted down, ironed and packed everyone's cruise clothes, gear & miscellaneous stuff (well... he gathered his own, and plopped it on the bed like I asked him to)... I cleaned 2 out of 3 bathrooms, (Elizabeth can clean her own mess... or live with it dirty... I'm not setting foot in there), and made sure that the pool float was still bouyant for a few hours.

Jeanne is very excited. I am bringing swim noodles so she can kick her legs in the water. Hope she can use them in Costa Maya and Coz(if we don't tender). CC may be to cold for her.

Or in my case, this program is not responding, it will be shut down. This program cannot be shut down because it is being debugged. You will lose what you are doing if you shut down this program. This program has decided you really do not know what you are doing......

Hi everyone!

Boy, do I got the story to tell you today!

As most of you know, work's been a mess for about the last... month, or two. We were using land that didn't belong to us, but using with permission of its owner. It sold, and the new person would like to buy us out too, but the offers have been land value only, i.e., worthless. We have a multimillion dollar operation, not your local stripmall cleaner. Since we told them no, they've been doing everything short of outright harassment to encourage us to move. Put up a construction fence right on the the edge of the property line, effectively boxing us in and forcing us to make some hurried changes, complain to the village to get inspectors to bother us, you get the picture. And I've put up with all of it very calmly and efficiently as possible to keep everything going smoothly thru all this.

Well, the boss comes in to the workshop this morning, as he regularly does to go over things so we're on the same page, and starts off asking about my impending vacation. And he asks how we paid for the cruise, did we use our points. He's into Disney almost as much as Mary and I are, knows all about our attachment to DVC. And I said no, the one in October is half on points, but this one was all cash, paid off in increments till the due date.

He says that's good, in consideration of how far I've improved things for the 3 odd years I've been there, and especially of how well I've managed the mess we've been in lately, he's giving me a raise, effective June 1st.

And we wants the receipts for the airfare and the cruise I'm about to go on.

Yes, he's picking up the tab for the May cruise for Mary and I.

I am still a little stunned even now, and don't think it's fully sunk in yet. He got me completely speechless on that one. I still don't know what to say even now, But I specifically went to work for him as I knew he was very supportive towards the people working for him as long as they worked well for him, but this was way beyond any expectation I could have had.

I tried this on Saturday - it did not work....hope you have better luck dusting than I did....

DH did laundry Saturday, sorted dive gear for us on Sunday, mowed the grass on Saturday, killed the citrus leaf minor, chopped the tree stump, (leftover from the H-----), did the dishes, helped clean the pets......and spent the night at my girlfriends with her parents at Godson's Communion.....

Guess I am spoiled as well....

A UTOP with my DH.

But now I don't feel so badly!!!

CONGRATS, MARK!!!! Isn't it WONDERFUL when hard work pays off like that and someone APPRECIATES the work you do??

I know....b/c my cruise won't cost me a dime either!!! :lmao:

btw, is he paying for the actual CRUISE? or just your stateroom bill??

I was a premie too about 2 months early and 2lbs 7 oz...Don't know about the formula...Growing up, my mom was fond of illustrating my weight with 2-1lb packages of butter. My mom just comments every now and then about how tough it was to get a cloth diaper to stay on or clothes that fit...When I was pregnant, she marveled over the wide range of preemie clothes available.

I was far from a preemie. I was four weeks late... and INDUCED! :scared1: My mom was originally due March 21. I was forced into the world on April 23. I'm not sure my mother's ever really forgiven me...
