kennel called. mowana is IN. will take him after piano lessons. she was ALL excited to get mowana a day early......she LOVES him (and b/c of it he gets all sorts of extra privledges and play time!)

didn't think about memorial day weekend, but broke it to the kids that the cat was going in today b/c of memorial day and they got all excited. all dogs and cats at the kennel on memorial day get to partake in the cook out. mowana will get pieces of a grilled hot dog or hamburger on memorial day! they have cookouts on all summer holidays. on thanksgiving, Christmas and new years day they roast turkeys for the animals!

if it wasn't for the fact that DCL has creme brulee, i'd consider staying with mowana! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Oh crud. You know, I was just saying to Jim that I keep forgetting that it's a holiday weekend. And when we planned our flights 5 months ago, I didn't think about it either. Thanks for the reminder. Now I have something else to panic over...

Well, this advice comes from someone who missed a plane to WDW once because she didn't turn of the freeway at the right time. :guilty:
Missed a flight to Disneyland because she didn't arrive at the airport early enough to get through the baggage check-in line....:guilty: :guilty:
And missed a flight to Vegas because she's just plain stupid and thought she was flying later...:guilty: :guilty: :guilty:

Ash had the opportunity to have "Christmas Dinner" at the kennel. Turkey and gravy. But his mean Grandma said NO. Little dogs don't handle gravy well.

And people with colon/gastric/digestive problems have to LIE LIE LIE!

Gotta tell you all something....
we stayed at the Hampton Inn the night before our first cruise.....4 day Wonder....May 2003. Well, we decided to go to Jetty park on Saturday to watch the Magic sail. We took snacks. We didn't think much of it until later, but Nick ate nearly an ENTIRE can of Cheesy Pringles and drank a Sunny D. Then we went out for pizza and he had pizza and Cherry Coke. Then back at the room, he had microwave popcorn and another Sunny D.

We all went to bed around 10:00pm. Nick was sleeping with me. About 30 minutes later, my dream puker, puked all over the bed!!! We had to call and get new sheets, change the bed, etc etc. NASTY! Bad enough when you're at home....but on vacation it's HORRIBLE. I was up most of the night b/c I laid there trying to figure out what I'd do if Nick was really sick. Do I send Mike and KT on the cruise and stay with Nick at the Hampton Inn? Do we try to get him on the ship? Plus every move or sound Nick made freaked me out!

Next morning....he's good as gold. Even ate breakfast and was FINE!! Perky, happy, no fever, nothing.

Well, in HINDSIGHT.....you never feed your kid almost an entire can of cheesy Pringles, Sunny D, pizza, cherry Coke, microwave popcorn and Sunny D the night before a cruise!!!

THat's my Nick. 3 months later he did the same thing after a big family dinner at a steakhouse. All the kids were at one end of the table, all the adults at another.....turns out my nephews thought it was funny to goad Nick into stuffing himself with steak, bread, ice tea and a HUGE piece of cheesecake. I coulda cracked their skulls at 11:00 pm when Nick pulled another dream puke maneuver!! Grrrrr

I'm afraid to ask....what did she chip it on this time???

Christopher's door... don't ask me how... I don't think I want to know.

(you have to understand... she's got Stacey beat in the "grace" department by a longshot... I don't know how on earth she gets through dance class and cheer practice without a personal EMT...)

And the kids are asking why they can't stay home alone ALL SUMMER!!! (Hmm... lets see... we're 3 hours into the summer and I've had 3 calls for 'how do I make the washer work', and one 'I hurt myself' call... THAT's why they'll spend most of the summer at the Y.)

Well, the good news is that our flight's not until 8:30, so as soon as Erin's doctor's appointment is over (3:00) we're heading to the airport. I'd rather spend a few hours there than worry about missing the flight!

All caught up. I think I'll go to the office. I have my invoices here to work on, but decided it would be easier to do them there. There aren't any baby gates there!

Out of all the "parts" that hurt yesterday, it's my wrist that actually feels the best today. The bruise on it kind of spread out and doesn't even look bad today. But the shoulder that I cranked, and my leg that was tangled in the gate still really ache.

stupid stupid stupid stupid

When she walks (or gets carried) into the ER, and the doctor says "What did you do THIS time?"....

Our flight leaves at 9:00 a.m. tomorrow. We leave almost an hour from the airport....I had planned on leaving here at 6:30 a.m., but I'm thinking we need to push that back some.

OMG.....can any of you picture ME leaving the house that early??!!!!!

Dunno.....somewhere where I can get Nick a steak, cheesy pringles and cheesecake!!! :lmao: :lmao:

There is the Macaroni Grill in the airport. There is an Outback Steak, but you can't get to it unless you have boarding passes. There is the Hyatt restaurant. There is the food court. Other than that I don't know what's there. Don't really care where we eat, really. It could be the worst food, but the company will be GRRRRRRRREAT!!! :)

TOP!!!!!!!!!!!!

pixiedust: pdfg and Susan and Stacey and Andrew and Emily and Jeff and Elizabeth :)

Ok, must pull myself away from the DIS and do some more cleaning before piano lessons.....b/c after that, time will FLY!

I got this in an e-mail this morning:

A win-win situation:

Dig a moat the length of the Mexican border,

take the dirt and raise the levies in New Orleans,

and then put the hungry Florida alligators into the border moat!

Any other problems you'd like me to solve?

Of COURSE I'm working today... AND tomorrow!!!

QUOTE]

ME TOO - I think this is the downside of living so close to the port, you have to work up until the last minute or as soon as your return. After the 10 day, Jim and I left the ship and went to work after dropping the kids off to do laundry. (Many others were continuing there vacation at WDW)
