Hi Beth - That's a good question, don't know how many boats they have... Well, maybe we can try to be on the same boat. I'm so touched that Lindsay dedicated her MS walk to Bill. I even got a little teary eyed when I read that! (must be tired today )

Well, we had a little summer weather teaser last weekend, but we've been paying for it since last Tuesday with much colder than usual weather for this time of year. Oh well, I can't complain, I know what it has been like for most of the rest of you. But don't worry, warm weather is right around the corner (and a few thousand miles south and east...)

Hello, NYDiscruisers and everyone on the 5/24 Magic. We're the New Jersey contingent travelling with NYDiscruisers. (That's us - "another 10 of our family members".) This includes myself (I'm NYdiscruisers sister) and my DH, and we'll have my niece (15) and nephew (13) "rooming" with us. In addition, my sister and brother-in-law are joining us along with their remaining two children, nephew (9) and nephew(9). That's not a typo, they're twins. And rounding out the bunch, is Mom and Dad. I wasn't able to convince our final sibling to join us, so we're short one family of four, but all of us who are going are excited to be cruising!

DH and I got back from Antigua last week and I was startled to see the number of soldiers/guns/ dogs at Newark(Liberty) Airport. Since I've been given the dubious honor of being cruise director for our 10 (although without my knowledge this role has expanded to include the handling of transfers, airline tickets, and baggage!) and since I've got Mom and Sis (who both hate to fly) and 4 kids who have never flown before, does anyone have some positive spin to put on the military presence at the airports to calm nervous flyers? On the one hand, I'm happy to see them, on the other I don't think I've ever seen a gun quite that big up close and personal.

DH will be laughing hysterically about this, since I'm not exactly the worlds "best" flyer!

the weather here is being, well, Texas weather. it was beautiful on Sunday...in the 70s and sunny. then, yesterday it was in the low 70s, but today, we're back down in the 50s with a wind chill at least 10 degrees lower than that. now, i remember why we left New England and don't plan to go back!

of course, our weather is mild compared to some of y'all's. who has received the most snow this week?

Hi, Beth - thanks for the invite to the yahoo group. We wound up with 5.4 inches yesterday (I know it was 5.4 because I saw it on the news.) Totally depressing! It had just looked like Spring was going to arrive, too. We had some forsythia starting to pop and some trees starting to bud. Thank goodness I was able to talk about the cruise yesterday!

Well, we are about 60 miles north of Powers that Be and surprisingly, we ended up with maybe an inch on snow here in Poughkeepsie. DD's school didn't have to use their last snow day! That is key since they will use it on Memorial Day weekend as long as we have NO MORE SNOW!

Thanks for the welcome, Sara and let me take this opportunity for a shameful plug for two of my travelling companions. My nephew (13) and niece (15) are convinced that they'll be stuck with each other for the duration. ("ewwww, I totally don't want to stay with him!). If anyone has sons and daughters of the appropriate age who'd be interested in emailing them and getting acquainted, I'd appreciate it. I'm sure their mother will too!!

Our oldest is 14 and has been emailing with another from this board (if Chrissy or her mom reads this, Britt needs your mailing address!), and I'm sure they would love to chat with your niece (probably nephew, too.. lol!). btw, to answer the other Beth's question, we only ended up with 6" of snow last Friday/Saturday, but lots of ice. The kids had another snow day (we don't have any snow days built into the calendar), so now their last day of school is out to June 18th We finally got a little melting today, still a few snow banks and patches, but not quite tropical!

Nope... it was left sitting on my front step along with a rather expensive phone that also arrived today... didn't have to sign for either!?!

I made the reservations 2 years ago so we could celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary (May 30) on the cruise. It seemed so far off then - now we've just received our ticket packets yesterday!

The big brown truck didn't stop by our house today. Maybe tomorrow! Hey, did anyone that were delivered docs get an upgrade?? Not sure there are any rooms left for upgrades, but just wondering?!

Did your wife ever find out or is it still a secret?

No docs for us either but I think that ours have to go to Dreams first then to us because I know for our first 2 cruises that I booked thru travel agents they got the docs first and then I got them from the travel agents.

Checked the Disney site and it looked like they still had rooms in all the cats 4-12 for 3 people which is what I keep checking for since that is what I originally booked for because I am curious as to what has happened with the price. Did notice that the cat 11 was cheaper for 3 people than the cat 12, weird.

I guess I am lucky that it is UPS and not FedEx or the regular mail as my dog likes the UPS man for some reason. She lets him come right up onto the front porch and drop things off when we aren't home and even when I am home she doesn't make a peep and I don't even know that the UPS man came until I hear his truck leaving.
