Aww...lol! Is that an obedience school? :)

:rotfl::lmao:

Technically, I think so. In reality though, I think it's more of a way for them to charge us $150 so we can watch a puppy version of Lord of the Flies.

I had a bad, bad, bad night girls. We had to put our 18 year old cat to sleep tonight. It seems he had been clipped by a car and had a probable fractured leg. The vet also said he had a heart murmer and probable kidney failure (or at least the beginning of it). It was a very difficult decision, but since his quality of life was not so hot to begin with (pooping on the carpet, deaf, practically blind, could not always jump up on the bed) the decision had to be made.

I know I posted on FB but Tina I am truly sorry. The loss of a pet is hard enough without having to make the hardest decision. Hugs!

Oh not much, JUST GOING TO DISNEYLAND!:banana:

Have fun!!! If I hadn't just been there last weekend we might have made a family trip there this weekend. Darn!

I
Anywho mom is REALLY sick.

Kelly - I hope your mom is feeling better soon. I only got to say hello to her over the weekend but I thought she was just a doll! I really missed being able to spend time with you and your mom and aunt. You have had an exciting week!

No way! I usually have at least 4 vacations in planning mode at any given time. :)

You sound exactly like me!

Vegas in May for my DD 21st BD
Seattle in July
Yosemite in July
Denver in Aug
My hometown in Colorado for Christmas
And my big plan is France in 2012 for my big birthday!
That is only my leisure trips...I won't bore you with my work trips. :)

Travel is fun!

UGH, I've been really sick since getting back from the trip. I think I have bronchitis because the coughing just won't stop.

I'm sorry you are sick! I hope you get some rest and feel better soon!

I started feeling like I was coming down with something on the flight home. I rested up on Wednesday since hubby was still off. I had to get the kids to school and start getting things together for Donovan's Birthday party on the 13th. I am congested and coughing a lot! I am so glad that I did not get sick while on the trip though.

Daisy

No not you too, Daisy! Please get more rest this weekend and feel better!!

I am totally seeing Alice in Wonderland today! Well, whenever I decide to get off my lazy behind.

We are seeing Alice tonight too! I went to the box office so I could save a measley 2.50 per ticket using the Entertainment coupon. It'll buy a small popcorn! And they told me to be there 1 - 11/2 hour before show time. Wow! I am so excited to see this movie!

This is my 4th semester of being back to school after not being in school for 18 years. lol It's just my associates in business but it's a start. This particular semester I am taking a Survery of Computer Systems class (it's a yawner, hybrid class), an intro to International Business (online, interesting, learning stuff, and not too bad homework wise), and the one that's killing me is my Marketing class (also online, condensed 16 weeks into 8, tons of homework, and as fun as watching paint dry). Hopefully my classes come fall will be better.

I went back to school after being out for 16 years. I was determined to get my degree before I turned 40. I got my diploma 5 days after my 40th BD. I had gone to college for 2 years before getting married and unbelievable many of those credits transferred. I had no idea that after all of those years that they would! It was very challenging having a child, husband, part time job and school but it was so worth it! Good luck and if you need support you know where to come!

Why are men so . . . . .not like women? BTDT recently and off the wagon for the time being. Just know that there are a group of Divas who are prepared to attack men with blunt instruments if a guy treats one of their sister Divas badly!

LOL! I've been there done that with men and I had just about given up putting up with their crap when I met Mr. CA. It is possible but I really was just done with them and their heartbreaking ways. I'll help with blunt instruments anytime I'm needed!

How are you feeling???:goodvibes

Welcome to all of the newbies! How exciting to see you all here. I joined the thread last year right after their 3rd trip and I have really had a great time getting to know everyone! This was my first trip and I was not disappointed...I had a great time!! Welcome, Welcome!:grouphug:

Was there anymore talk on a meet in Seattle? I think that is where it was? It would be really cool to join in if I could find a good price on airfare.

Wow, I read that and had to stop and think for a minute.... I forgot this was your first trip! We've spent so much time chatting with you here, and had so many mini meets (Disney, twice in Vegas) that I totally didn't think of it being your first official Diva trip. :goodvibes

When in July are you going to be in Seattle Vickie?

We will be there July 16 - 18. Just for a weekend...wish it were going to be longer. Mr CA's family is having a family reunion. We were there for 2 nights last summer before and after taking the ferry to Victoria and I can't wait to go back and see more of the city. We did go to Pike St. and go to the original Starbucks...what a zoo that was but the market was a lot of fun with great things to buy! Do you live right in Seattle or one of the suburbs?

:scared1:  I heard obedience school tends to be pricey. My co-worker said she doesn't know how to train her dog so her dog just pees all over her condo. :scared: She admits she doesn't have the patience. I suggested an obedience school but she doesn't want to do that either. :confused3

I wish I had a dog. I have never had one but I love dogs. My mom is allergic so we never had one growing up. :( If I could I would get a siberian husky with blue eyes :)

YES, there should be a Seattle mini meet!! :cool1: I won't be there, lol, but there are so many already in the area or traveling to the area that it seems like a must do. :thumbsup2

Ummm, now which Divas are in Seattle again..... :rolleyes1

Lol...that's when I'll be in Georgia.

We live right in Seattle, about 4 blocks from the Seattle Center (where the space needle is).

Yikes! You all are busy today. :) Took me quite awhile to catch up! Getting ready to head out help at my daughter's Girl Scout Cookie booth. Nothing like sitting in front of a Walgreens on a Friday afternoon! :rotfl2:
That's okay - really, really tired today so maybe I can sit and do nothing. :thumbsup2

Hope all you sick ladies feel better soon. And Tina, sorry about your kitty.

Welcome to all you new ladies! :wave2: I see some of you are from the Bay Area also. I have lived in the Bay Area my whole life (except for college). :thumbsup2 We have lived in Brentwood (Contra Costa Cnty) the past 8 years.

Everyone have a great Friday night! :dance3:

That would be fun! I loved what I saw of Seattle and if I had to go again I would not need much arm twisting!

Darn, but fun for you to be visiting family in Georgia! If you can believe it we never made it to the Space Needle but we are going this time!! And maybe the 'Duck' tour? Fun living in an urban area! I lived in the suburbs for a long time and then moved to downtown Denver before moving to CA and I loved it! I'm back in the 'burbs' now but that's okay...:goodvibes

T G I F !!! Hope its a good one for all the Diva's!
For those sick...get better and take your airborne!! I felt a sore throat coming on yesterday and started feeling achy an hour later. I did an Airborne tablet in water every 2 hours for the rest of the day and woke up feeling fine today...whew!! Close one :)

Look's like another rainy Saturday tomorrow....can't believe a week ago we were having so much fun at DL!

Vicki I know I was so bummed I don't think I saw you except for a few mins at the meet and greet :( . I was really hoping to see you more this trip too! Next time for sure!!

And I DEF am in for a Seattle trip if the dates work and I think we need a norcal/bay area meet as well!! That will def keep things lively in the meantime with all these mini meets!! :)

Beth thanks for asking about mom and thanks to all the others who have wished her well/asked about her. As I mentioned she has a sinus infection and the doc gave her some antibiotics (I think the box said zithromax) and he gave her some cough syrup with codeine. Don't ask me why she has such a bad cough. I didn't think you got a cough with a sinus infection and she has a REALLY nasty one. That is why I thought she had bronchitis but the doc claims that all the drainage is causing the cough. Sorry I know TMI. But anyway I think if she gets these meds going she will be better. It hasn't helped that she has been on a dead run, including a trip up to truckee, yesterday. Luckily she is going to stay home tomorrow and only go up there on Sunday!

Kaoden you probably said your name but I feel like such a dummy calling you by your screen name but thanks so much for the sympathies about the office. I have been in a mood for sure today. It has just been "one of those days" for sure. I went to pick up my oldest and there is all this mud along the side of the road where we have to park and a few weeks ago my car got stuck so today I tried to park on the one patch of concrete and I hit a drainage pipe with my tire/bumper. It sounded awful! I was afraid I might have damaged the tire.

All I know is I better not leave the house again or lives could be lost LOL.

I have to go pick Shelby up from talent show practice here soon. I'm skeered!!! ;)

It's Michele!! :cool2:

Unfortunately for your friend, house training requires a lot of patience and a meticulous schedule. It doesn't take long to house train a dog if you're dedicated. I'd much rather put in the work than clean up the pee in the house :)

OH MY GOODNESS!!!! Ive been running around like a chicken with its head cut off all day today trying to get ready for this trip but ive set aside a few minutes to skim over everyones posts....such a fun group of women!

Still trying to figure out what it is that I know im going to forget to pack...lol
Just trying to stay one step ahead but so far its not working :rotfl2:

Hope everyone has a great night and hopefully I willl get a chance to see how everyone is doing later tonight before I sit down and TRY to relax! :grouphug:

How true. Obedience training will do nothing for this problem!!!

Some obedience training is realy expensive--send your dog off to school and get him back trained for $2000. San Diego's Humane Society has very economical classes as do many Humane societies as they are more about training you and your dog to live happily ever after so that your pet never ends up at the pound or the humane society.

I found that my Irish Wolfhound was my easiest pet ever to housetrain because he is so tall and I have hardwood floors. At 9 weeks, first pee on the floor, sounded like a glass of water being emptied...ran screaming...only accident EVER in the house. Good boy!!

And I have mentioned he has a brain the size of a walnut, have I not?

I hope everyone is having a good day.

And Tina...super duper Love your way. I am so so so sorry you had to say goodbye to your kitty. To have him for 18 years, I know there is a hole in your life and heart...but he was lucky to be in your life and visa versa, and I am honored I was there to make your grief a wee easier....for reals. 100%. Please know...I am there for you.

Okay..enough sap.

January--my blunt weapon of choice is a bowling trophy. Just saying!!

Cheers.

Shutterfly question....
I've used shutterfly for years, but only for basic printing of my own pic's. I do not know much about their "share" features and such.
Do I log into my own shutterfly account and upload my pic's somewhere to share from that, or do I just log into the Diva shutterfly account directly to upload them?
Hope that makes sense...LOL

Hi everybody--especially the newest Divas! (and you know who you are!)

Vicki--I have not really felt bad--I was a little nauseous last weekend--so no ice cream, churros, beignets and such for me. Heather and I didn't even finish off half of our pommes frites--can you imagine? Otherwise, I felt fine so had no idea I was sick until I saw all the spots on Monday! I've really not been that itchy--I went to the doc on Tuesday (couldn't get in Monday) and he gave me acyclovir so maybe that is helping the itching. Sigh--I hope there's hope for men. My problem is I don't play the field enough--I get focused on one and miss other opportunities--and then he turns out to be a dud!

.

See--that's our Okra--always ready with both a shoulder to cry on (and I have) and a blunt instrument!
