Done.

I think just about every Diva is on Facebook. Or close to it, with a few hold outs. haha
I am guilty of being a hold out. Considering that I went to art school, most of my interactions are rather... colorful and might offend people. I'm considering deleting my facebook account. There is so much drama on there.
Oh, and I'm lucky, I get to hang out with everyone in Vegas. I had sooooooo much fun last time with you and Cheryl in Kahunaville. Cannot wait to be there again.
I would LOVE to go to Vegas! I just hope I find a job in Oregon ASAP so I can afford it.
Hi friends!
Going back to work today was a total reality check--I'm getting to the point where I'm like AmySue in terms of thinking that every week that I'm still employed is a miracle... I truly despise budget cuts and I really, really, really need some pixie dust after a meeting with my boss this afternoon. He's fighting for me, but I'm still scared iykwim and the most damnable thing is that I'm not allowed to talk about it to anyone at work.

I hope everything works out in your favor.
I'm your favorite? Does that mean I can count on your vote for my shirt design?
I dig it. I'd totally rock that shirt out too!

Potential newbie to the group and all I can say is...it sounds like so much fun and if you pick a date when I'm not in school (one vote for spring break - should be the third week of March) I'm in. Otherwise, as much as I'd love to, I can't go.... again. Stupid school gets in the way of all my fun.
I feel you with the school factor. I started mingling on the Diva's forum when I was trying to finish up my Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. What are you working on?
I just want to thank all of you ladies for making me feel so welcome!

YAY FOR NEW FRIENDS!!!
Aren't they amazing? I haven't been the greatest person at times and my dedication slacked, but they have always made me feel welcome. I turned 25 in July and I had only been living in SoCal for a few weeks. I was extremely homesick and Cheryl said she would meet me for drinks since I was at DL alone. Well... she recruited and many more showed up than expected and I just had the time of my life. They went above and beyond and I'm so grateful that they welcomed a stranger with open and loving arms.
So to all of you ladies who were there for me on my birthday, you know who you are, and I love you for making sure I wasn't alone on my birthday!
Oh and I guess I should do introductions for those who dont know me or didnt read my last introduction on the last trip planning thread.
I'm Cathy, 35 I used to be a veterinary assistant and receptionist for years at an AAHA hospital, then I moved to Oregon

LOL

and Katelyn 8
Oh, and we have one spoiled rotten miniature poodle named Bella...shes our baby
Oh, and a little about me? My name is Jessica, but I go by Jazz - silly little nickname I picked up in speech class. I'm a Bay Area gal, I'm 23, and uh ... I'm a Disney addict. That should be a no-brainer though. Oh yeah, there's this slight hockey obsession too, but I wont go into that
Hi

I'm Bridgette and I'm 25. I have a fine art degree with photography as my primary medium. I moved to California last summer to further my education in the area of digital commercial photography. I was falling deeper into debt and wasn't learning anything new so I put a halt to that. I moved back to Indiana because I had no money in January. Now I'm talking about moving to Oregon with my DBF soon and I hope it happens sooner than later! I miss him

Hopefully I can land an art job without too much stress.
I love everything Disney because of the magic. It just has that vibe that is unlike anything else.
Hi! I grew up in WV, and most of my family is there now. Just thought I'd give a big WVU shout out! (I went to nursing school there!)
I have gone white water rafting on the New River through ACE camping grounds twice and I love how beautiful the view is from the river! My mom went to nursing school just a state over at UVA.
Spring Breaks Next Year
I looked up some of the larger school districts in various locations/states in the west just to get an idea of when schools will be on spring break next year.
Peoria Arizona Unified: March 14-18
Scottsdale Arizona Unified: March 14-18
San Francisco Unified School District: March 28 - April 1
Denver Public Schools: March 28 - April 1
Orange County Unified school district: April 4-15.
San Diego Unified School District: April 4-8
Central Valley School District (Spokane): April 4-8
Los Angeles Unified School District: April 18-22
Salt Lake City Unified: April 18-22
Clark County School District (Las Vegas): April 18-22
Seattle Public Schools: April 18-22
So basically, it looks like the heavy spring break crowds will start around March 12th and continue through April 24th (Easter). Before March 12th and after Easter weekend, it doesn't look too bad.
Wow. Now THAT is Diva love and dedication! Thanks
Hopefully someday I'll make it to one of the Vegas trips.
Meeeee too!
I'm super sore today...we went skiing/snowboarding yesterday and I haven't skii'd in 15 years! Discovered it is just like riding a bike and I had so much fun and never fell once! woohoo! Parker had lessons with school friends, with a special group called US Adapative Recreation center. They teach & use modifed and very interesting equipment for kids/ppl with special needs and it was amazing. His instructor was so nice and super "cool". Really layed back surfer dude, but was so great with him and had him going up and down the hills by the end of the day. We all had a great time and the weather was awesome. We missed the rain the night before, then had some last night once we were home and are getting alot this weekend!
Its ironic that you posted this because I have thought about skiing so much lately and have wondered if it would be like riding a bike. I grew up going to Lake Dillon, CO and attended ski school at the Keystone Resort. I was skiing black diamonds at age 7. I will go back before too much longer but I definitely need to get in shape. If there is any sport that exercises literally every single muscle in your body it's skiing... but for me, nothing is more liberating!
I would have a hard time eating a chicken a leg.....
Boneless chicken breast for me!
Me too! I die a little on the inside when I see the turkey legs at DL. It reminds me of the Renaissance
Don't let us stop you!
Uh ... I didn't say that!
Holy SHEEP! I just got an almost terrifying phone call. My dad is in the Army and works at the Pentagon and I honestly don't talk to him that often. So when I get a call from him I swear my heart was about to jump out of my chest because it sounded like bad news. There was a shooting at the Metro station at the Pentagon that he takes in and out.
He was just calling to tell me if I saw anything on the news not to worry at all. But wow, my heart is still up to my ears right about now.
OK, had to get that out to someone.
We now continue with our scheduled broadcast of whatever, whenever!
Scary! I'm so glad everything is alright.
OK, you absolutely have to go! I need somebody else from San Jose there! So fun!!!
I had a bad, bad, bad night girls. We had to put our 18 year old cat to sleep tonight. It seems he had been clipped by a car and had a probable fractured leg. The vet also said he had a heart murmer and probable kidney failure (or at least the beginning of it). It was a very difficult decision, but since his quality of life was not so hot to begin with (pooping on the carpet, deaf, practically blind, could not always jump up on the bed) the decision had to be made.
Things like that are never easy. I've been through it twice. I think you made the right decision. Hang in there.
Oh not much, JUST GOING TO
DISNEYLAND!

Jealous! Just rub it in why don't you. Have a blast!!!
Thanks I will find out how BOTH of them are later and give an update.
Fingers crossed!
OK girls, I'm off to start a major new job today. I'll check back in this afternoon to let you know how it goes.
Have a great day!!!!
Good luck!
Good morning, ladies!
I need to get all caught up. I have had byfriend issues the past few nights...sigh why are men so moody??!! ANYWAYS...
I feel your pain. Hang in there!
