I'm glad to hear about the weather stuff - I was wondering the same thing because I remember the weather reports at WDW showing rain each day and we rarely got any...sometimes a quick shower so I was hoping it was the same type of thing in the Caribbean.

Snoopy2 - I got Grumpyhooks message. I think we'll probably stay in our hotel that night. I don't want to promise to meet you and then not show up if we are the only people you are depending on seeing..I figured before if we didn't make it at least other people would have been there...so forgive me but I would like to have options when I get there. Sis is coming in from California so we have to be sure we are in good shape for Saturday and she may be pooped out.

nccb - since I've only been on the boards a few days just wanted to say hi and tell you to enjoy your hubby. My hubby and i are the same way on vacation. Sis and I will probably be on our own most of the time but I am really happy to at least know that I know some people onboard this time to say hi to and join in with if we want. You all seem like very nice , yet wierd (but in a good way - my kinda wieird ).....

I have a dentist appt today and some shopping to finish up, a massage tomorrow and chiropractor and Thursday will be trying to take more OUT of my suitcase. I've been excited for so long I seem to be out of the energy for too much more - it's like a kid waiting for Christmas. The minute I get on the plane I'll really know it's true.

For those leaving today and tomorrow - have a great trip. I'm sure I'll bump into some of you at some point on the ship - - keep waving those green bands.

Not a good start to the morning. My girlfriend was supposed to watch Tori for me while I got my mani/pedi. Now she can't. This is not the friend that normally watches her (she has a dentist appt) and I was really counting on her. Now it looks like I will have to take her with me. Maybe I'll bring her DVD. Gosh, this really put a damper on things today and is ruining my mood. Why do "friends" do this to you? It always feels so personal and hurtful! I really wanted this time to myself since I don't really get that much anymore. And since Tori will be 24/7 with me today (remember Ed is on his way to PA driving a truckload of furniture that 90% will probably come back at some point!). Have no clue when he will be home tonight, just that it will be tonight. He's also having the TALK with his employer because it looks like they are trying to screw him out of his unpaid vacation time! And the severance package that was promised has yet to be spoken of again! Not looking good or I am just panicking overly. Hopefully things will go well tonight and this will all just be a misunderstanding.

At least the weather is nice today. Still don't have time to take my Subby to the shop to get it looked at (no A/C). And I won't stay at the shop while they look at it! That's a nightmare in the making just thinking about that!

Like I said, not a good day but it can only get better, right? Right??

Yes and be sure to relax while they are massaging your feet! I forgot to shave yesterday so I was a little uptight about the whole massage part of it worrying about the guy - YES I SAID GUY - cutting himself on my legs


hccb - you just put into print what my husband and I are feeling. But we will not have the wonderful luxury of having both kids in the clubs all day. This is our reconnection cruise too. But now it appears he will have to work for a lot of it and it will sooo not be stress free for him. I guess I scheduled this cruise during annual pledge drive and in the lead up to his annual meeting.

Needless to say, the laptop will be close at hand at all times.

Tom, good luck. Paul's board meets while we are at Cocoa Beach to discuss his review Holy stress. But that is the only thing that works well that he is not there for since he would have to not be present anyways. I think we may be doing some heavy celebrating and de-stressing when we see you guys.

PJ - wanna talk about ghetto grass - we had to rip out all our grass between the street and our sidewalk and a little into our front yard because crab grass invaded and grubs got to it. So we have what hints at grass but pretty much masquarades as dirt on a full time basis fronting our house. It's lovely.
I am hoping that when we return it will have put on it's full greenery for us.

OhJulie - just for you, I will pull some more out. Don't want you to run out before the big day. That sounds like such a fun way to get everyone excited!

Okay, time to do some serious packing today!!! I think I am finally over the "what am I going to wear to dinner crisis"!!! But the new suitcases still smell funny so we're probably going to smell funny too! I can't believe those of you who are only bringing a couple of suitcases...we'll be bringing a minimum of 5...possibly more, but some of them are small ones.

Yeah, well, you should see the kids' duffle bag I packed. It's one of those heaping mammoth ones - well, now it is heaping and bulging and bursting at the seams. It's actually kinda funny. I was using it as a chair last night.

I think we may have to spill over into a 4th bag. So we will have one large suitcase, one very large duffle bag, one garment bag - and then three carryons instead of two. I can only do this because Catrina's clothes are like doll clothes - they take up no room at all. In fact I packed each day's outfit into a quart sized ziplok bag.

Now the question is - do I leave them up so they are still there when we get home - or will it be depressing to walk in after the cruise and see them??

Not getting much(any) work done today. I really need to finish some of these projects so I can leave with a clean desk and mind.

I don't see any rain in those forecasts. Seems pretty normal to me. Hot, humid, some clouds - but they certainly won't feel like any clouds we get here and they certainly won't provide relief for my shoulders.

Okay, home from my appt. Ahhhhh!!! Very nice Vietnamese GUY that did my mani/pedi! And I only paid $40 for both total! Very relaxing and yes, I remember to shave! Good thing, I didn't realize that do all the way up to your knees!! WOW! I feel like running a marathon! And then, when my nails were drying in the heater thing, he painted Tori's nails! What a sweet man! Then he put her under the dryer, too! She was so proud to be "just like Mommy!" and she was basically good watching her movies. She charmed everyone in the salon and they all said good-bye to her (ala Norm Style) when we left! It was a great day!

I could do that every week! Very nice! Although I did "scrub" one nail getting my credit card out to pay! No way could I get to my money without "scrubbing" all of them!

Suzie - Glad you enjoyed the Pedi - you got a bargain! Sorry that you mussed a nail - can you get a bottle of the same color to touch it up?

I am planning to take a bottle of polish with me on the cruise for touch-ups. OPI Bubble Bath!!
