I know this is late, but safe travels to CG and Mketting tomorrow! (If I missed anyone else, please accept my apologies, but safe travels to you too! The old brain just isn't working quite well tonight!)

Night all! Sleep well and Disney Cruise dreams to all!

Safe travles CG and others leaving tomorrow. I look forward to meeting the crowds on Saturday and beyond.

CG - you were doing great posting the photos until you got to the exercise ones. Grrrr. I lost my weight-loss religion this year. Oh well. Plenty of time for the NEXT Disney trip!!

Hardest decision tonight - take Pal Mickey 1.0 with us since he's never been on a cruise, or replace him with 2.0 when we get to the parks after the cruise. I think I'm getting a little obsessed.

For all the women with pedicure stories today - I have to say, even gay men don't have to endure all you do to get ready for the cruise! You deserve to be pampered silly for the 7 days!!

Cheers,

Just wanted to say bye to all....We'll be heading out in the wee hours of the morning. What a hectic past couple of days getting things done, but by this time tomorrow night I'll be laying in a bed in our room at the Pop Century. That thought alone brings the stress level down a few notches. Hope everyone has a safe trip and I can't wait to meet everyone!

Everyone- Please be safe in your travels. Here is to good weather for next week and 1/2.

We made the obligatory Pre-cruise trip to Wal-mart. Thank goodness we had a some items to return fom a previous wedding and that lessened the final bill. I still felt those anxiety pains. Now I know why cruising is soo expensive. It is not the cruise but the pre-cruise.

Anyhow in Good News today, we got upgraded to cat 4. Woo Hoo. So we are now in 8502. The only down side to this is that we are right near the bridge. The good part is that I don't have to worry about smoke blowing past our balcony.

The dive gear is almost packed and the formal stuff is staged for packing. So tomorrow will be the final push with all of DW's new shoes being packed. Then on Friday, the safari aventure will begin. Woo Hoo.

Seeing as no one wants to meet at Grills, We will probably do our own thing then. Not sure if we will stay in Disney area and have an early dinner or head on to Cocoa now. But I know where we will all be on Saturday :) That is what matters.

CG-- Thanks for all those got me into a really great mood! Safe travels and See you on Saturday!

Just got a phone call from DCL and the Afternoon Beach Bash Excursion on ST. Martin has been cancelled due to some celebration that is closing the roads. Not sure for what they are celebrating but thought i'd post that something was going on. She didn't elaborate.

Gosh I am so ready to go!
I posted this question on the Cruise Critic boards. It turns out it's the 2nd Day parade for Carnival in Phillipsburg. The poster was mystified as to why it would cause an excursion to be cancelled because roads are supposed to be passable, though there are some closures in downtown P'Burg and one road converted to one way.

Anyway, we planned to rent a car so I'm checking to see if there's something I should know about getting back to port!

Here's a link for more info. http://www.stmaartencarnival.com/ . Once I found out the parade time, I'll post it. Maybe it's worth seeing.

Cheers!

I know y'all think I've abandoned ship before we even board, but not so. Had a bummer couple of days with various things going wrong, topped off by a $177 ticket...long story, too frustrating to recount here. Anyway, mani/pedi/hair color are done, shopping almost done...still need dress shoes for DS and a few minor things. Will need to reevaluate packing with a mind toward dressing for dinner, but since it's all in piles already, that shouldnt be too bad.

I know it's too late to catch most of you, but CG, Michelle, and April, safe travels to you and your families  and we'll see you in just a couple of days! Can't believe I get to say that!! I'm in the Friday arrivals crowd like many of us.

BTW, Yahooers, look for version 5 of the database by noon tomorrow (my time).

Sue R., one is glad to be of service. (we just watched Bicentennial Man...I love that line!)

Virginia, honey, are you out there? Probably somewhere off losing your mind like the rest of us, lol. Check in, would ya?

Susie, thanks for the pep talk today. I needed it badly. That and the mental siesta courtesy of CG & ITM. Thank you ladies!!!

Good nite! :cloud9:

Since CASTLEGAZER is on her way, may I do the honor....

Aw, geez, April! I totally dropped you, didn't I? And I knew you were leaving today! SO sorry, sweetie! Told you my brain was working really well. Too much stress from Ed's work but looks like it may just be mostly misunderstanding. We'll find out tomorrow at the latest. But things are looking really good. So my stress levels are once again down.

Anywho, safe travels, April and Tim! I probably missed you, though, didn't I?

Snoops, awesome upgrade! That happened to us last year's cruise - cat 8 to a cat 4! You will love it!!

Jonna, thanks for the pics! The one at night always gives me goosebumps! So beautiful, isn't it?

Ugh, Trish, you didn't tell me about a ticket! HONEY! I'm so sorry for you, I know that's the last thing you needed....

Everyone staying at PC, enjoy! We LOVE it there! Our favorite value resort! Gee, I hope you guys run into each other, but that place is huge!

We are packing TONIGHT! Yes, skipping wing night and PACKING! I can deal with a few days of wrinkles but my mind is more important and sanity tops the list! Do it while I have help! So, last load of laundry today and packing tonight....aaaahhhhh.....

:yay: Good Luck to those of you who are traveling today! "Until we meet again!" :goodvibes

Still no packing progress, and my list of To Do's gets longer by the minute. I think I just have to start saying "NO" from this point out. Nothing that isn't already on my list gets done.

For those of you who have checked in via the web, do we print those papers out and bring them with us or will they just have record there? I suppose I know the answer, but just wondering.

And CG(I do hope we will hear from you again today!!)- HGP has to work a little next week too and I will have to periodically check my email for Mother's Day orders. I know they have wifi and also hotspots throughout the ship, but have you read anything in your vast Disboard travels about wireless in room access yet? Gosh that would be nice! I am bringing my giant laptop for the girls to watch movies on the plane, so we will also have it for the wireless access. The people who he is working for on this contract job have offered to pay for the unlimited internet access since they are rolling out his product this week!

Gotta run, my mom is coming over today to help me clean.....She loves to-I miss my cleaning lady so it works out well. And I think she might teach me how to iron. :rotfl2: I am only kidding. I know how to iron it just takes me all day! Used to pay the cleaners to do it when I worked! I need training in being a domestic goddess! Oh goddess of housekeeping-teach me the way!

Have a great, not too stressful day of packing all!

Jen, thanks for asking the question. It got me to review my docs and discover I've misplaced my printout.

Anyway, to answer your question: the cover letter DCL sent with my docs says all you need to bring is the check-in signature form. I think there was one for each adult member of the party. You can probably get it off the website if you haven't printed it out yet.

It was TWENTY YEARS AGO TODAY that ......

Chernobel happened

Maria Shriver and ARNOLD got Married

20 years that is fantastic, Happy Anniversary Greg and Jonna!!!

Just another great thing that we will have to raise our glasses to.

Tom pirate:

Jen, I found my forms (Phew!) -

I have two online check-in signature form One has credit card information and my signature and authorized users of the KTTW card. The other sheet has both adult signatures indicating we have read the contract and will be obedient cruisers.

If you didn't put in credit card information online, you'll only have the second form.

AWWW!!! Happy Anniversary!! You guys have us beat by a few years! 20 years! Gosh - were you guys just babies when you got married? :lmao:

Thanks Dirk! I probably should have read my doc stuff huh? I am just in denial I think about the fact that it is THIS friday not some random friday 500 days off into the future since it has been soo long in the planning!

Congratulations ITM and hubby!!! 20 years is quite an accomplishment in this day and age!!!! Enjoy it!

Hey Carolina Yankee -- thanks for the reminder - My Pal Mickey is hanging up in my guest room and I would have forgotten him if you hadn't said something. He needs a new battery too - poor Mickey - feeling neglected....and no, you are not obsessed - well, at least in my mind :thumbsup2
As for preparation:
Today is my massage - I'm getting a 3 hour one and then one on the ship. I have fibromyalgia so I hope this gets each and every kink out that I have. Still have to get my daughter over to do my pedi. Hair was highlighted last week - I'm just overpacked and worry about it all the time. I just need to get on the darn ship so I'll stop thinking about all this preparation - it's driving me nuts!

Well, I know I'm the baby of the group here - but don't forget about me
Good luck to everyone in these final hours of packing!
Oh Yeh Happy 20th Anniversary -- that's wonderful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :cheer2:

Well, one more thing to do today...the roots are showing a bit, so gotta do the hair today! At least I can do that myself and at home! So, while Tori is at school, I'll drop by the beauty supply place and get home to do the egg dye!

Speaking of eggs, were are the EGGMANS? Been hearing alot of ITM but where's the rest of the Rhodies? Hmmmm....could it be....working?!?!?

Trish and anyone else with teen boys....talked with Ed this morning (yes, he JUST left for work!! Was tired this morning) and he said that the boy that sat at our table last year never wore dress shoes for dinner. Sneaks and docksiders (once) only. Dress shoes, no. So, really I wouldn't fret about dress shoes! Especially if they don't wear them at home! Not a biggie and people so understand how hard it is to get them to even wear something other than jeans and t-shirts! SAVE YOUR MONEY!!

Mommy brain is taking over and I just lost every thought in my head. I know there was something else I was going to say.....sadly, it's gone.....

hello trish , Im still here. Just been super busy, volunteering, family, and trying to pack ,repack, and repack. OMG.

Today Is my day for pampering, I so need it.

Hello everyone, looking forwards meeting the rest of the gang/ party: Have a safe trip. see U soon :tink: pixiedust:

Finally figured out why I still have my seal cough and my headache! Saw this when I came out this morning! YUCK! For you Westies, this is pollen all over my car! Nasty stuff, you'll probably get your first "taste" of it in FL!

DSC00033.jpg

And the yellowy/green on the running boards is more pollen - not mud!

DSC00036.jpg

And a big pile of it (this is normal and ALL around us!) at the end of our driveway! YUCK!

DSC00038.jpg

Just chokes me! Lady at the store asked if I was okay because I was coughing and my eyes were watering so badly! I'm sure I was just too pretty a site this morning! Ugh!
