Inthemood , my my how awful, I'm so so sorry. I hope you daughter will be alright. How long did you have the dog? I can't imagine making a decision like that . I feel so bad for you. I know my kids come first but I know if our dog Simmi we had for years ever did that it would have been more out of my kids probably teasing her because she never ever bite anyone in her life. Can you tell I'm an animal lover? I hope your daughters hand heals fine . God what an awful day for you. Feel free to unload here anytime , we have all done it, especially me :confused3 :rotfl:

Suzie , glad to hear you are feeling better .

Snoopytoo, how are you feeling?

Jen, I am with you on the formal thing , just a shorter cocktail dress for me and a suit for Barr. We have Palos that night so I think we'll be fine. I have not decided what to have the girls wear since they will only be at daycare. Did you see any kids on formal night in regular clothes or a simple dress , I hate to dress them up to go play at the club.

Oh, Jonna! I'm so sorry to hear about your daughter and your dog. I'll be thinking of you and your family.

We had a friend whose dog bit another friend's daughter in the face. It was very hard on everyone. They had the 10 day quarantine, too, but also the house insurance got involved because it occured in the house. Amazingly, the two sets of friends are still friends, the little girl is okay, and the dog passed away from old age. So, even the best of animals can have bad days.

Gotta run!

Jonna - I am so sorry to hear about your daughter - what a trial. Please tell her that we are all thinking of her.

Michelle - How is your daughter doing getting the contacts in? You know, when you mentioned it before it got me thinking about getting some for my DD just for the trip. She does not wear glasses all the time, but I thought that it would be good for her to have them especially when we are snorkeling. My friend is an optometrist and she gave us some disposable contacts to try, but we have not put them in yet.

Tom- hope you have a good time in LV. Could you please bet 20 for me that SteveMed wears the banana hammock on formal night with a bow tie?

OHJulie :wave2:

Oh my Jonna, :guilty: :grouphug:

I hope she heals in her heart and her hand. This is a very tough decision. I am probably not the best person to respond because I am not a Dog fan. I have a very big fear of dogs and a dog has snapped and bitten Quinn too, but not with lasting marks other than a now fear of them too. My cat can be just as viscious too. I have always been scared she will do that to my kids as she is very mean. I have had her for years, but would be the first to send her up to Kitty heaven if she touched my kids. So, see, I am not the best to speak to the love you must share with your dog. I really am sorry you have to make this type of decision and you all have to go through this. She was such a trooper. Is there any chance your dog could be pregnant or hurt from something you didn't see? The behavior sounds so erratic and out of character.

Michelle, Yes. The sky tram is located across the street from the Havensight Mall.

I hope we don't join the antibiotic brigade, but I rushed home to a very sick Catrina yesterday afternoon. She is home this morning too and I will go home this afternoon. Quinn is also home as he was feeling very under the weather too. Catrina has a very high fever and threw up last night - all over me.

Let's just all vow to get all this gunk out of our systems right now and not next week.

You all can skip any advice you were pondering for me with the laptop purchase. I bought one yesterday that I think fits everything I needed and was on sale - it's amazing how powerful it is compared to our 5 year old desk top and my husband's work laptop that was only bought 8 months ago. If anyone is interested or contemplating their own purchase I can share specs and info.

I did this because, ready for this, I am becoming a travel agent for Kingdom Magic Vacations. :cool1:  You guys should check out their web site which just has a .com at the end of that title with no spaces - I actually was using that web site for years because of how good their info on rooms and resorts was and lead antkim to check it out when she contemplated getting back into being a travel agent and that is why she is with them today. I will be working very part time taking blind calls, but am available full time for clients. I needed the laptop so I could be with my family at night and not be locked into our office all night long doing this work and have it with me at work here - plus now I can write it off. Hopefully Mermaid Patty can give me some pointers on being the best travel agent behind hers and antkim's skills. Quinn and Catrina got post cards from Mickey and from Cinderella and that was the highlight of their planning for them, well, for Quinn, but I arranged it to happen through Verandah Man (he does a great Mickey signature and a truly spectacular Cinderella impression).

Barb - you and I will chat.

Quick post before I'm out the door for the day....

Inthemood
- So sorry to hear about the incident with your daughter. I'm so glad your daughter is okay and it wasn't too major. As an animal lover with 3 dogs and 3 cats of my own I understand how attached you get to your pets too and can't imagine if ours did such a thing. One of our cats really doesn't like strangers and we always tell anyone visiting not to mess with her, but there usually is someone who tries it and then is all surprised when she scratches them. Anyway, I hope all is worked out for the best for everyone.

CG- I'm sending out your cd's today. That way you'll have the music to listen to pre cruise to get you even more excited. :thumbsup2 Also, way to go on becoming a travel agent!!! :cheer2: I've often thought of doing that and even have an offer from a travel agency if we ever decide to move to PCB, FL. I would specialize in disney of course.

Also want to wish all those under the weather get well wishes.

Have a great day all!

Congratulations Castlegazer :thumbsup2 from what I've seen, you'll be great. Your genuine love of Disney and your people skills are what make a great TA.

We had beautiful weather all last week and it melted the last of the snow in our yard. The school bus is sinking ruts down pretty deep though, so we'll have to do something soon before it gets stuck. Got to love all that fresh backfill after building a basement. :rotfl2:

The nice weather turned cold and we've had rain all this week. The temperature is just above freezing, but still coming down as rain. Just west of us they got 1 foot of snow yesterday. I just keep telling myself that I leave for Florida this weekend so it can be as cold as it wants. :cheer2: We have to drive about 4 hours to get to the nearest airport, so we are driving in the night before our flight just in case we hit bad weather. I am not going to chance missing that flight.

I'll be gone most of the day with appointments, but I'll check in later. Still thinking about how much I can afford to bet on the banana hammock. :rotfl2: I have 1 of 5 of us packed, so tonight is definately packing night. Only 2 more nights to go.

…. But, on the practical side, you won't ever see most of these people again(unless you 2 end up on a Most Wanted picture in Baskin Robbins)
PJ, you're hysterical! :lmao:

Suzie, are you and Tori bedda today?

IntheMood, Wow, what an awful day! This is going to be a traumatic week for your family; you're in our T&Ps. Did they remember to give her a tetanus booster?

Our little dog is so old that before she could bite someone, she would have to go put her teeth in. Even then, we'd have to puree the hand for her. We're sending her to "Camp" during our trip and I'm a little worried about her not surviving. She's a very old gal. We used to yell at her whenever she got on the furniture, and now we cheer!

CG, way cool! We've owned a small interest in a travel agency for years. Go to the Disney travel agent site and get your "Believe" poster - it's great!

Jewelgrrl, is the cd party music? Will you bring one to the meet'ngreet?

Tom, Put $20 on the banana hammock for us!

The PAHW

Hey PAHW!!! I forgot to add that I would not go with the whole shabang. I even am scaling back, but both males in my household will be in tuxes simply because we like the pictures, like dressing up like that because we rarely get an opportunity to, it's easier than packing suits s we rent from cruislineformal, and it adds glamour to a cruise. I however, am still unsettled on what my dress will be. It's probably going to be a floor length duponi silk suit dress. It fits, doesn't make me uncomfortable (you know the whole, "crap, the damn thing fit when I started the meal", thing), and well, looks good with tuxes.

Just have to share this! Totally forgot about Spring pics and opened Tori's backpack from school today and here it is!

Suzie-quick....what's your favorite color?

PJ

I will get back and respond-especially to Johnna- a bit later on.

Just at work doing station inspections. Keeping warm by the transformer cooling rads. Hoping not to see snow before we leave on our trip. 6 celcius here right now, cloudy & raining. Thought I'd bring up my number of posts while I could. Not much time for web surfing. Looking forward to meeting everyone. 2 more days till I can feel the Florida sun. The transformer rads just aren't a good substitute. :rotfl2:

Question of the Day:

What is the name of your favourite American beer?

Len

CG- Thats Great. OUr next trip I'll be contacting you!!!

Julie- Meg is doing OK getting them in and out now but we were at the doctors for quite awhile as she learned to do it. It was harder for her to get them out at first then get them in. She is getting them out in a flash now and has to try a few times to get them in

Roses- Our group will be mixed, some in tuxes, some in suits, the ladies are wearing a variety as well.

HI Everyone,

Doing much better today. I am so glad I opted to get antibiotics Monday. I have been hitting the decongestants and stuff hard, so I can be well for the cruise and get the projects from work out the door before I leave. I came home early today to work from here and not have interruptions. With a little luck, hopefully, my big project will be gone on Friday and the other one on next Thursday.

OsoDisney an Suzie, Hope you guys are getting better quickly. Suzie thanks for the phone call last night. It was a nice cheer up surprise.

Inthemood- Sorry to hear about your daughter. I wish her a quick recovery. I have been involved in a position such as ya'lls. It is tough. Perhaps you guys will be al recovered in the next 10 days, I hope.

Funny story !
Went to get my eyebrows waxed and after she was almost done she says "oh have you noticed that one of your eyebrows is much shorter then the other? " What , I was thinking to myself, thats funny, it was there this morning. Yup she lopped part of my eyebrow off with her wax and didn't want to admit it. Yeah, like I don't know. Oh well it will grow back by the time we leave I'm sure.:rotfl2:

Then I went to the Parkway with my friends Bea , Steph and John. They say to me " oh , getting a little grey around the edges. HUH, your kidding, I just had my hair done. Well I was feeling pretty lousy about myself at this point after the whole eyebrow thing so I went straight to the mall and had a touch up. Still not super but much better. My hair cost a fortune now but doesn't look it. I'm sure it will be bleached right out anyways by the second day in Florida. I think it's costing me more money prior to the cruise on just crap then the whole cruise itself.

I'm just wondering how we're going to get proof! :lmao:

Went outside to see what daddy and Tori were doing. She didn't want to play ball, she wanted to "clean the bush"! So, this is her "cleaning" our bushes....pitiful, aren't they? They got blight last year and we had to cut them down to the nub. They were about 5 1/2 feet tall at the shortest point (grow on our slanty yard). We were going to pull them out but they started growing back!

Just saw this! Our neighbors two down from us put their house on the market - for $485,000!!!!! It's a nice house but only 4 bedrooms and 1/4 acre lot! This area is crazy with housing prices!!!
