That house would be way over $500,000 here - and I would contemplate buying it. :guilty: So sad. I have no idea how people pay these kinds of prices.

Having fun here. The fever broke. Snoops, good to hear you're on the mend. Suzie, how are you feeling?

Funny pic as Quinn was doing the exact same thing with the exact same hose this afternoon. Quinn liked her school pic as did we.

I'm just wondering how we're going to get proof! :lmao:

Went outside to see what daddy and Tori were doing. She didn't want to play ball, she wanted to "clean the bush"! So, this is her "cleaning" our bushes....pitiful, aren't they? They got blight last year and we had to cut them down to the nub. They were about 5 1/2 feet tall at the shortest point (grow on our slanty yard). We were going to pull them out but they started growing back!

Suzie...Put some Captain Morgan in me and the whole ship might find out. Great pictures of Tori.

Cg...congrats on your new job.

Don't start any funny rumors, I still have a day job with the big box empire, it's just going to be my passion job on the side. I am setting myself up for when Quinn gets to school and I have to make some hard decisions about this corporate executive I play on TV.

Thanks.

Feeling much better, thank you everyone. Actually got a nice bit of sleep last night and a little tiny nap today. Still a slight fever but I expect that for the next few days until the meds really take effect. Definitely on the mend.

So, Snoops (I like that!), sorry to say, I don't think, or at least hope, we will have the antibiotics brigade. I know that will be a letdown, but someone else can have my spot! I don't want it anymore - did I ever?!

Beer, not a friend. Foofy drinks, bring it on! Wine, whites and blushes. I'm allergic to oak so can't have the Reds. Favorite drink, gotta be the Fuzzy Navel. Don't know why but it is. Favorite other drinks = Frangelico, Kahlua, anything foofy. My favorite drink now - Orange juice over Sprite - Virgin Navel, I call it. Steve, thanks for offering to be my official taste tester. You've been approved finally, so be proud of the position. Take the job seriously, please. I expect written reports in triplicate so that I may have them for future reference (ie: after the baby is born, etc.) Thank you for your willingness to accept this unpaid position. I'm told though that it has many fringe benefits! Once again, Congratulations!

Good night and good luck. This message will self-destruct in 5 seconds.....4....3....2....

***OH! Did anyone else think it was ultra funny that Brooke Shields and Katie Holmes had their girls on the same day!?! Let's talk PPD now, Tom!!! Just waiting......

Hey, Barb! Good luck on the packing! Have a safe trip and can't wait to see you there! BTW, who's the next to go? Barb leaves Friday, then who?

Good to hear everyone is on the upswing health wise.

I think Pat is the next headed down for a full week before the cruise. We leave 6:00 am Wednesday morning.

CG- Funny you mention Katie Holmes. I was watching TV this morning and they were discussing that they planned to have a "Silent" Birth. No talking whatsoever during the birth process. I think that would be impossible for me.

QOTD- Ladies do you pack your husband's suitcase or does he?

Kirk would not dream of letting me pack for him. In some ways its great one less thing for me to worry about, but in other ways it drives me crazy because it something out of my control. He will not pack a thing until Tuesday night ( I of course have been packing for weeks) if we weren't leaving at the crack of dawn he would wait until morning to pack. My Mom on the other hand packs everything for my Dad, he just carries the stuff to the car.

Alright I am in Vegas (Sin City) and I have to post.

First, Jonna our thoughts are with you, you are going through the hardest thing I have ever done in my life, I am sorry, nobody deserves that.

Now for some trivial venting, I was asked to play in a Texas hold em tournament for my convention, but I told the guy no, because my boss had set up a meeting during the time of the finals. So my boss calls me and says we need to rescheduled the meeting because he had played in the poker tournament and made the finals. Instead the guy can't resheduled so I take the meeting by myself, and my boss plays in the tournament that I could not do because I figured my boss would freak, well he ends up winning the darn thing to a tune of $10,000 dollars. Yes, my boss won 10 grand tonight and then looks at me and says sorry, I probably should have told you so that you could have got into the game. Thank god that Disney does not have a casino on board, because with my luck, I would lose everything. The worse part is, I showed up at the end of his game, and he was asking me questions about whether to hold or fold. I should say he is a great boss, but c'mon we are talking 10 grand, even though I think he feels so guilty that he is going to do something for the Queen and I, he really is a good guy, so I will let everyone know.

SteveMed, I actually thought about a side deal, but I am willing to bet against you and lose money just to see the Hammock and BowTie outfit.

Suzie, I see you are calling everybody and just because I am in Vegas I get no love? What is up????

Tom pirate:

Tom- Be careful out their in Vegas. I was watching TV the other night and the owner of a casino got blown off the roof of the building, so obiviously a very rough place.

That is pretty awesome about your boss's luck. I never could get into card games. Never hanging out with the right people, I guess. I am more a slot player. When we went to Nassau once for a Dive/Anniversay trip, I put 2.50 in quarter slots and got $400.00. Overseas they have slot machines in the Military Rec Centers, so when I suffered from Jet Lag, I would go play the slots. So I was in Korea and won 3K. I didn't want to declare it coming back, so I spent a good portion of it on 20" amythesist necklace an pendant. It saved my rear from getting chewed out for spending $300.00 on the slots by Mrs.. So yes, a casino on the ship would be very bad. Granted DW can play 21 and blackjack pretty well, just not up to my winning levels.

Suzie- The less we have on the antibiotic brigade the better. I think I finish my course Thursday or Friday.

CG- I meant to post previously, Congrats on the side job. It should be a load of fun. I thought about being a TA once but my dreams of being and Officer and Gentleman or the Good Humor Ice Cream man, not sure which, out weighed that decision.

Thanks everyone for all of your thoughts.
Well Yesterday was hard to say the least. My daughter is doing great ( again what a trooper!) The pedi- called and wants to see her first thing. ( Shan, yes, Dr. N--l I can't beleive it... I may have to rethink my thoughts of her)
As for my dog....
.Single handedly the hardest decision, I have ever had to make. See I'm a SAHM, and he was always with me. Whatever room I was in, he was in there with me, my bud.
The quarintine is over and the results were sent to the CDC. We had to do it this way, it was what was best for everyone.

Thanks again everyone!

Good Morning!

Johnna, what a tough day. Our thoughts are with your family. I am glad your "trooper" is doing well! Hopefully, she'll be all healed up by next week(OMG-I said next week!)

CG-Big congrats to you on your "passion". My business was born out of a passion(for selling and running a business oddly enough-the art inspiriation was secondary) but really designed to do the same thing, let me be available for the kids when they got into school. I knew after Hannah went to Kindergarten(which is 1/2 day here still) I was going to have to make a choice. I wanted to be available and seen around the school, help out in the class and just be there for her after school; I could some days but there were other days that I just couldn't and it killed me. Daycare was always different, they obviously knew most parents were working so they scheduled things that worked with working family's schedules. I know lots of people who have been able to successfully juggle kids and work-when my girls were a bit younger we had a nice little system going and it worked well for us, but school really changed everything. Now, I am glad that I can be there for her after the bus. I am hoping I can stay home until at least Katie is done with Kindergarten. I can't believe I've been home for a year already!! I don't miss my old job one bit...pink pearl designs gives me just enough to keep my mind busy but since it is my business, it can be done around volunteering at the book fair, going on field trips etc.

I hope that doesn't sound like a soap box...I re read it many times. I just wanted to share our experience.

Glad to hear the antibiotic brigade is shrinking. I am going to start with my airborne on Monday. I have a headache today, but I know it is the wine flu :rotfl2: It was mom's night last night to cut loose. We hung out at a neighbor friends house, while the kids played in the yard and drank wine and tried to work the grill :lmao: :lmao: I wish I had pictures! Between three educated women, we did manage to cook up some pretty awesome chicken but not without referring to the Weber Bible(we all have it, we've seen our husbands pondering "indirect medium or direct high on occasion...)We decided that was the "last frontier" and we'd better not have proof that we have figured out how to work it. Next you pirates will want us to be mowing the lawn, and grilling the ribs.... pirate:

Gotta run.
Have a great day everyone!

I so needed to lighten it up around here!!!

Maria - So sorry about your eye brows. Or should I say brow? How good are you with an eye-brow pencil? I know what your saying about spending before the cruise. Between new clothes, haircuts etc. we have spent a fortune. The good thing is though that we will be all ready for summer and we shouldn't have to spend much more until back-to-school. OOOOH, (back-to-school)thats a terrible thought!

My husband does most of his own packing. I consult on the dress clothes and the rest is up to him. It is a good thing too, because he packs way less than I would. He can pretty much get by one one pair of shorts for the week.

CG - Congrat's. What fun you will have! And you will have such great tips for planning your own vacations!

Just lost my post due to stupidity and it was good too. I'll see if I can recreate.

My husband packs at the extreme last minute too. Drives me nuts. But, why is it always me who forget my underwear or nighties?

Michelle, It was Suzie who posted about the weirdo couple, but yeah, I am soo waiting to see what happens next. They clarified the whole silent birth thing on the news shows yesterday or the day before. She doesn't have to be silent, just everyone else in the room. Gotta tell, ya, after being a roll eyes, sick of them, type of person, the whole concept of shutting everyone up during the birth process had some allure to me. I could have totally done without my nurses screaming, "someone find a doctor SOMEWHERE!" during Catrina's birth.

ChardonnayJen - Great Post!

Suz - good to see you on the mend, girl! :thumbsup2

Tom, Duuuuuuuuude. :guilty: Man,.......................... :guilty:

ITM - :rotfl:

Enjoying Spring Break, another beautiful day.

CG- Kirk almost never forgets anything either while I'm often missing a thing or two, doesn't help my case at all. He is also the one that checks, double check and triple checks the hotel room etc. before we leave. It drives me crazy standing there waiting sometimes but we never leave anything behind. When Meghan and I went on the cruise with my mom I left all the things I had bought in Nassau and a pair of shoes in our stateroom. (never got them back)

Having a sitter come over for ahwile this afternoon. Getting my first pedicure today. :woohoo: and then picking up a few things for tonight. Kirk's family is coming over to celebrate Meghan and Jared's birthdays.

Don't want to step on the Queens toes here (actually would like to be toe to toe but that is another forum all together), but since it is such a big part of our everyday life I have to post my own picture.

p050429hamm.jpg

I also wanted to send out a little reminder, that for all ya all that have the Disney Visa, don't forget to transfer your balance to your reward cards so that when you get on board you can go to guest services and give yourself a room credit. I spent almost a thousand on dinner last night, that of course I will get reimbursed for by the company, but I thought to myself 3 more drinks of the day on deck 10, TDS.

Philly Jen, I will try to say this nicely, "Drop the Spachula, and slowly back away from the Grill". We need to have something, and it is sort of unwritten, that it is the grill, honestly how would you and the Queen feel if HeadGear Pat and I started making jewelry???

As far as packing and men goes, in our family it is very simple, if it is just me going somewhere by myself, aka business trip, I am responsible for my own packing, but if the Queen is to be seen with me, then I am not allowed to pack my things.

Shyla as far as forgetting PJ's and underwear, are you sure that is not something you are doing purposely for Paul???

Well got to go, actually have to return a phone call, thanks Suzie.

OhJulie , actually it was funny :lmao: . I have no idea how to use an eyebrow pencil, or any eye makeup what so ever. I'm such a country girl , just foundation and my sun blocking pink lipstick , this is my signature , I love the stuff , never ever had chapped lips.
Today my Keens should arrive I can't wait to get them. I did order one more pair of scooter shorts and top form Title Nine but of coarse had to pay 3 day shipping . Oh my Goodness what a difference in packing this kinda stuff , seems I have tons of room in my suitcase now
My girls have registration for school today, and the evaluations are in June.
It is going to be 75 here again today , so back to the Parkway for us. It's a bit of a drive and I said I was going to conserve on gas but we have been cooped up for so long I really don't mind right norther summer may be different , just hanging at home alot.

Dh does his own packing , but I may advise here and there. He is simple, nothing but t-shirts for the day and cargo type shorts , a few dress shirts and 1 or 2 suits, probably 1. Maybe 2 pairs of shoes and 1 pair of sneaks.

Hope everyone is getting the wonderful weather we are here.
Barb I know your probably still pretty chilly up there but just think 2 more days for you :)

CG , that's wonderful that you landed that PT job , how exciting . It was my dream at one point too. Live it well for me:thumbsup2
