EXCURSION QUESTION- St. Maartin
We have decided not to do the Catamaran sail in St. Maartin and so are now making other plans. I was reading on the board about Great Bay Beach. The suggestion was to take the water Ferry to get there. They said there is water trampoline for the kids ($5 each for all day) and you can also rent a Jetski and chairs there. Have any of you gone to this beach? Is it nice? Other suggestions? I also want to something a little cultural with the kids there so if anyone has any ideas for that let me know.

mketting...we'll be at Great Bay Beach with our entourage drinking El Presidente beer and smoking Cuban cigars in the ocean. We did this 2 years ago and it rocked! We walked last time, but we're taking the water taxi this year. As far as culture goes, we did spot a couple of women that were sunbathing topless...does that count as a cultural experience???

We were able to rent beach chairs with umbrellas, found an awesome waitress at the closest bar and she actually delievered our drinks to us right in the ocean. The beach is also parallel to Front Street so we were able to do a little shopping too for our knock-off designer purses (and cigars for the guys). We didn't do the jet ski or trampoline last time, but are definitely considering it this time around. I have tonz of awesome pictures from that day, unfortunately that was back in the day before I had a digital camera so I have no idea how to scan them and post them...you'll just have to trust me that it was a great day that we hope to repeat!!!

As far as culture goes, we did spot a couple of women that were sunbathing topless...does that count as a cultural experience???

Don't let the topless comment scare you away...there were only a couple of them and the kids didn't even notice them (of course Tom & Pango did right away though)!!!

Ed is already upstairs snoring away, so I guess that's my cue to go. Rough night last night with Tori, little tummy problems and she ended up finally sleeping in our bed the rest of the night. Me, Ed, Tori and two body pillows all in a king bed....does not make for a good nights sleep! Night all! Yes, I will probably check in later - so beware the green light!

Michelle, didn't mean to ignore this. She's really doing great. Still living with my aunt but they think in a few weeks she might be able to move back to her apt. The doctor's are amazed at how well she is doing and frankly, so are we! Thanks so much for asking.

Okay, I'm crazy now! I was watching Lost from last night that I DVR'd and it didn't tape the last few minutes! The last I saw was Henry talking with Locke and Jack about if he really was one of the others, he would have drawn a map to a really secluded place that was a setup for a trap...and that literally was the last word said before it cut out! Can anyone tell me what happened after that and what I missed!?!?! I'm DYIN' here!!!!

Now, I'm really going to bed. If I can sleep....this is just the kind of thing that will keep my mind going all night long and keep me from sleeping!! AAARRRRGGGHHH!!!

Suzie . I'm not to good at describing shows on tv but I'll try . Jack and Lock like you saw were talking to that guy and the guy ( don't know his name) said

Funny....actually that was the rest of my a$$ from all the food and drink on the cruise behind curtain #1!!!!

I think the curtain was closed because Sarah and Hannah coudn't be bothered with us making all sorts of noise at that hour!!!

I think it is cheesecake becasue when you look at the baby weight I still have since the Queen was pregnant with all three of our princesses. She had to reduce the size of the pictures that went on her post because I was afraid everyone would get a case of the mad cow from seeing one on the beach.

Great Bay Beach is right as you get off the ship in Phillipsburg, it is the one that you can take the water taxi right to. Had a great time, and Pat we are so fired up for that and Castaway Cay that it will be tough to duplicate it.

Well it is snowing here this morning, and I am off the put gas in the Queens Van before I go off to work.

Thanks Ohso for the finale....guess I didn't miss much but what a shock when the DVR stopped!! I know that he is one of the Others....Henry Gale was Dorothy's uncle in the Wizard of Oz...and a balloon! Cmon! So made up! And all those questions about the computer stuff and the statement that "I would be asking all kinds of questions"....um, to who????!!!! Yeah, he's just a bit too....a bit too too as I like to say...

OH PJ! I'd forgotten the thong story! That is so priceless! Sorry, honey, but I have to laugh!! I hate to think of this as the Underwear cruise, you with your thong story and Tom with his bra story....Lordy, I'm gonna have to hide mine! Secret: Wondering what the weather will be like in my vacation destination....you need to PM me with your best guestimate so that I can start doing laundry and packing! So excited!!!!! Gee, I feel like I need to give longitude/latitude or morse code like the Mystery at Sea thing!! How funny!

Gotta shower and take Tori to school.....so ready for the weekend! It's getting to be a hassle taking her to school. She told me the other day that Miss Ruth wouldn't let her have her snack last week.....wonder if she's telling the truth but unfortunately, this is one of the reasons she is switching schools next year. They don't allow parents to obseve the classroom, which has always made me suspicious but some of the other mothers tell me Tori is fine (they just drop off and end up staying to read books to the class or something) and is not one of the kids that gets picked on. Poor Chloe doesn't get snack because she doesn't answer "here" when they call roll...didn't even know they did that! Poor girl told her mom "but mom, she SEES me! Why do I have to answer?" She's stubborn and I understand the reason for answering here but to take a kids snack away while the others have theirs? Not right...but it's also not right that some of the moms feed her when Miss Ruth turns her back. (Still not sure why some moms get to stay as helpers or is it that they don't accept "you can go now"). Things are just getting a bit weird there. Tori does love it and really has no problem except wrestling the boys (thank you daddy for teaching her that) and having a hard time sitting. This is mostly why she gets time out....I've never said that she's an angel, but she's not a demon child either!

Lordy, did I just ramble or what?!?!? Gotta go! I'm late, I'm late for a very important date!!!!
