CG , sorry about your bad day , I really hope things improve for you .

I have a QOTD . It for me personally I guess. I was wondering what children are having a Birthday on the cruise?

Suzie , wow I didn't see that one. I remember being on a shore excursion in Venezuela and Guadalupe on both of those tour buses and I have to it was awfully awfully scary . I remember looking out the windows of the bus and seeing nothing below us , it was a shear down off. I really wanted to just get out and walk. I feel so bad for the family members of these people who were waiting for their loved ones to come home , and I have to imagine by that time the people that perished must have made friends with others on the ship . I would imagine it would ruin the rest of my vacation.

Barb - We have late seating. On our last cruise we had early seating and we just felt really rushed. We also are hoping to take advantage of some of the room service and snacks in the afternoon. We did not do it last time because we were too worried about ruining our appetites for dinner. The kids in our group are also a little older 5 to 13.

CG - I'm with you today in the attitude department. I am just grumpy! Didn't sleep well last night and I just can't get motivated to get anything done! Can I just leave now for the cruise??

QOTD - None of the kids are celebrating a birthday by my DH Ken is turning 43 on the 6th. Man are we getting old!

OHJulie :wave2:

:cool1:  We got our Disney World package today !!!!! WOOHOO !!!! . I must be blonde , I can't figure out the vouchers, LOL .

QOTD: Kids having a birthday while on the cruise:

Ben is turning 11 on the 11th, which is only 11 days before we leave for our trip.

Caity is turning 13 while on the cruise. Becoming a teenager!!

Barb

early seating for us and yes, we need it, and yes, we will feel rushed, but no way would we do a cruise with late seating with a one year old.

Quinn will be turning 4 the week of the cruise. I turn 35 the day we get off :guilty:

Our 6th anniversary is the week after the cruise.

I have noon time shopping reports for you all but I am in a battle royale on some documents, gotta run................I'll be back

My family and I have late seating. Coming from California, 8:00 will be our dinnertime anyway.

We have the early seating and yes we will feel very rushed. We had late on our Wonder cruise, and none of us could ever make it to 8:30 so we ended up eating hot dogs, pizza, etc. at about 5:30, then at 8:30 we weren't really hungry yet . . . we eat about 7:00 (est) at home. If we get 5:30 seating, I may try to switch into late. . .

There is not one interesting or fascinating fact about me that I can think of. I am extremely ordinary I guess - sorry!

Hope your days are all improving. That news about what happened on the other cruise ships is horrible. Hope my mom doesn't see it or she will freak that we're going on a cruise with her precious grandsons!

Wow - 37 days!

Lisa

Partypat, when you get to the final screen at TickerFactory, copy all the text from the box labeled bbcode...be sure to include ALL of it. and then it should work. It should start with: [url
and end with: url]
Give that a try!

We are early seating...probably will feel rushed, but I've never been able to just sit and relax on vacation anyway...always feel like I need to get the most bang for my buck, so we'll see how that goes on the cruise! Hope to see all the early seating people there!

No birthdays in my group, but let's not forget the MOTHER'S DAY is a week after we get back, so we'll have raise a glass to all of the moms in the group!

OH come on people!!!!!! You must be able to touch your toes, rub your head and chew gum at the same time, watch TV and cook dinner, pick your nose, whatever. It doesn't have to be something about yourself - I simply lived somewhere with some history. Tell us about your town, tell us about your dog, tell us about the time you broke your foot. Everyone has a story! I can think of about 500 things I could say.

OK - my fire drill has been turned into a low burn and not the backdraft that it had become. So I will tell all about my shopping spree at lunch. I was on the hunt for mesh collapsible boxes - have you ever seen them? They are so cool, we use them in the playroom. I wanted to get some for the cruise to pack flat and then use for diaper stuff and for toys so our cabin doesn't start looking like our house. I wanted to tell you guys this because they are very cool and would serve as big a purpose as an over-the-door shoe holder does for catching clutter. They fold super flat for packing and then pop up to be a great box. The Container Store was where I went and if you have one near you, beware all you A type cleaners - I could spend my whole allowance in that one store but man, is it ever expensive for stuff you never knew you needed.

Hi gang...I forgot yesterday to tell you another really interesting fact about me.....I have such a lame life that I actually read pages 1-99 on this thread yesterday afternoon! I was laughing hysterically at some parts and was just amazed that that thread started only five months after our first fateful trip together(Tuggles, Pangos, Mermaids and Metzlers). It was still so fresh in our minds, with 18 months to go until the next one!!! WOW- it is almost here. It was really neat to see the new families join the thread one by one! :wave2:

CG- glad your day got better. I had to shop today too! Here is my story that may shed some light on why I am partially crazy already. Took Katie to the mall. I needed an outfit for my meeting with the boutique owner tomorrow. We went to the Disney Store and bought her a pretty nightgown for the cruise- a satiny gown thing with this gauzy overcoat thing- Pink of course. Anyway- I then went to Ann Taylor and Katie wanted to look at herself in the 3 way mirror in the dressing room(still dressed in her real clothes mind you). I was trying on a few things then she said, Mommy come look at me...she had gone into the dressing room next to me and changed into her "gitty up"! Which she insisted on wearing thru the mall....This was not a battle I wanted to wage today so I decided to let her wear it. I was hoping she would get cold, or see people staring and laughing hysterically at her. BUT NO- everyone went out of their way to say how cute she looked blah blah blah..... Argghhhhh!! Backfired!!!

We are bringing Katie's hamper on the cruise for that same reason. It is one of those mesh things with a flower top that we will obviously leave at home, but it stores flat and we desparately need a hamper for that room.... One for shoes would be good too to throw in the closet!

Alright- gotta go clean(MAn I say that alot)....I still haven't cleaned my whole house and the Mermaid Patty family will be arriving tomorrow, lunchtime!!!

PJ

Oh and CG- you are not alone. I think God gave me Katie to prove that the world indeed doesn't revolve around me!!!! :lmao:

CG- Hope your day has gotten a least a little better. I hope to get something like your boxes to throw laundry in. I do not plan to do any laundry on the ship though. I aill just stuff it all back in my suitcase to come home. Is there something in the water our boys are drinking? Jared has been having a bit of trouble lately too. His teacher and the principal both said they have noticed Jared being more "ACTIVE" lately. Translation- a pain in the butt.

QOTD_-It will be Meghan's 9th Birthday on formal night. Also 2 other b-days in our group a 10 and a 40.

My husband will be wearing a tux as will my BIL, dad and cousins husband. Uncle and other cousin's husbands will be in suits.

We have early the early seating.

EXCURSION QUESTION- St. Maartin
We have decided not to do the Catamaran sail in St. Maartin and so are now making other plans. I was reading on the board about Great Bay Beach. The suggestion was to take the water Ferry to get there. They said there is water trampoline for the kids ($5 each for all day) and you can also rent a Jetski and chairs there. Have any of you gone to this beach? Is it nice? Other suggestions? I also want to something a little cultural with the kids there so if anyone has any ideas for that let me know.

Suzie- How your Grandma?

Barb- I guess I shouldn't complain that it is in the 30's here. We had such a mild winter for this area that everyone was of course expecting March to be extra warm too, it isn't. The end is in sight though.

OHSO- Even though we are spending 3 days at Universal I am jealous of those of you getting to go to WDW.

Happy Hour!!!!

SteveMed, this one is for you.

Fire Engine on emergency call

60 ml J”germeister
60 ml vodka

Build with some ice cubes in a rocks glass.
Fill up with raspberry soda - if there is there is still room for it...

MKetting, we did do Great Bay Beach in St. Maarten last time and it was great, the water wasn't as clear as it was on Cast away Cay, but it was very calm. It was one of the best days that we had.

PhillyJen, can you believe how long ago it was, that we started talking about this, and then one drunk dial and you ended up booking, I am still trying to get BowTie to come with us. We are going to do Thanksgiving dinner with them at WDW this year, but the cruise without BowTie, you and HeadGear will have to help me through it.

Tom pirate:

All those drinks look really, really good!

Okay - something about myself - I am a "Fountain of Useless Information". Anything that's of very little importance - things like what year a song was released, whether it was summer or winter at the time, etc. Useless trivia - when we get together with our friends to play trivia games, the girls' team always wins. But - I cannot tell my right side from my left without touching my wedding rings to find my left side. I think my brain development was inbalanced or something! Another thing most people find unique about me is my obsession with anything Disney (particularly the cruise at this time) but I probably have a lot of company with that trait here!

My hubby is not wearing a tux - I have a hard enough time listening to him gripe about packing a suit. My boys also will be reluctant dresser-up-ers.

Have a great night everyone.
