4/26/09 4 day Wonder

I finally did it. I am no entirely sure of how it works but I guess one is never too old to learn. :yay: I still need to put the dowel and cord on. This is for my son and his family. I still have to make one for by DH and myself. It will be similiar but shorter-only 2 pockets. I will probably reverse the colors as well. Thanks for being patient. I have given my daughter in law this site as well. Hopefully she will be on soon. :)

I love all the decals. I couldn't find any. (Well that would've been good to use anyway)

Thanks The figures are not decals. They are the cut out figures people use in scrapbooking. A craft store like Hobby Lobby or Michaels would probably have some. I found all the disney characters and then some. I wasn't able to make the pockets real big but I hope they will be OK.:)

hi all, i am a newcomer to cruise, but not disney world. I hope we have as much fun on a cruise, a bit confining though, I am wondering. and what about sea sickness? anyone get that?
I am going with me, my husband, daughter & son in law and their two children 14 & 6, my son and & daughter in law and their son 6.
:happytv: :happytv:

I guess I am falling behind in the FE. I actually made mine last weekend. I just need to put a few finishing touches on it and I will post pictures. You did such a great job. I made mine with scrap material because I always have leftovers that I never use.

cshell1969 - WELCOME I wish I could answer your questions, but this my first cruise too. I am very nervous about sea sickness. I went on a whale watch one time, tossed my cookies, then I went lobstering, tossed my cookies. I wen on a friends boat on the ocean, you know the drill. I am hoping with technology the boat will have great stabilizers. I plan to use dramamine just in case.

I guess I need to update the first post. I'll do that right now.

:welcome: cshell1968

This is my 3rd Disney cruise and DH second and neither of us had a problem with seasickness. When I was younger I went on a day cruise with my parents and was so sick the entire time. On Disney aside from the walking issues (you will get 'sea legs' but I have no coordination as it is) I never noticed anything, one night there were high waves and to be on the safe side I took a Gravol just in case but the ship movement was actually really nice. At night it was like being rocked to sleep.

If you know that you get car sick, etc. I have heard that you should take the Gravol right from the beginning and just keep taking it but I know the DH and I were ok

At last my FE:

Here is pics of the dress I made for DD7 for Pirate Night:

Here is the top and skirt I made for DD11 for Pirate Night:

I also made a pirate costume for DH and I, but no pictures just yet.

I love the pirate theme for your fish extender. The dresses for your DD's are really cute as well. I haven't finished my FE. We just got back from the Glory cruise. We were docked in Nassau next to the Wonder!!:cool1: Of course the DH took pictures so the grandsons could see the ship they will be on. Do you know what night the Pirate party is? I am going to look into something for my grandsons to wear for it. I made the final payment today so the cruise is a go. I was told we could book excursions, spa treatments etc. on 2/11. It will be here before you know it.:)

Yay it's almost time. (Ok in my mind) I paid my cruise in full on the 30th. Because of my wedding package I got to book excursions and Palo.

I booked my wedding dinner (at Palo) as well as a brunch.

For those with a love of food like me check this thread. Post 2683

Even my DF is starting to drool and he is not a food "connisseur" like me:)

You all have to tell me what excursions you're planning in Nassau. I decided to nix any plans that day as I don't want to risk it running to late and missing my hair appointment or heaven forbid the ceremony:sad:

I told my sister that I am living vicariously through her since she'll be doing the aquaventure.

Pirate night - Hmmmm I should know when pirate night is, but I don't. I want to say it is the night we are at sea. Maybe I need to read the book again because I forgot the important stuff.

Excursions - The only one I know we are doing right now is the Atlantis water adventure. We are doing it on our own though. I already booked a room at the comfort suites. I was thinking about the bikes and floats in Castaway Cay.

Final payment - I have not made it yet. I thought I would get a reminder letter, but I have not seen one yet. I better put that on the top of the list.

Well, I have to get ready. DD has an orthodonist appointment at 7:30.

I can not believe I did not know the answer to the question about pirate night. I read someones trip report and they said pirate night was Tuesday, the same day as Castaway Cay. I paid my balance today, so I am in.

Hey hope everyone is doing well.
We are getting closer every day :cool1:

Heading home tomorrow from "sunny" California. Been here since Wednesday and there has been nothing sunny about it, rained every day. I was freezing today and that is saying a lot seeing as how it is snowing and below zero at home in Canada. :confused3

I think that the Pirate night is the Tuesday night based on the most recent Navigators that were posted but I am not really sure

angelgurl Hope you made it home OK. Isn't the weather strange lately. Here in mid MO we have been warmer than my stepmother's place in Southern FL!
I have a question for everyone who is going to be involved with the fish extenders. Could we make up a list of all children and adults with ages(for the kids of course) and maybe some preferences for the adults and kids on what areas they like best etc. Some girls are into the disney princesses for instance. My grandsons are not into the pirates yet at their age but more the Mickey and Minnie crowd. Time is getting closer and I thought maybe it would make plannig easier. Also in reading the info on the boards on the FE-some roll calls divide up the cruises so there is something for the kids every day. Would anyone be interested in that? My daughter in law is already thinking of things to take/make etc.

To the bride to be; I would be interested in knowing if you have colors etc. to posssibly help with a little something for your FE.:scratchin

If I am being too pushy here I apologize ahead of time. I am a teacher and tend to plan, plan plan. Of course many times plans don't work out either. I am working on my FE now and hope to have it finished soon. I did finish the one for my son and his family(posted picture earlier)
ALSO a Reminder. I believe excursions can be booked starting tomorrow!!!!:yay: Have a good day!!:)

I guess the only colours for the wedding will be orange/yellow as that is what the flowers are. Otherwise it's just plain white.

So the names in our stateroom are:
me: Leiana
soon to be husband: Dakota.

:cool1: Hello,

My name is Julie I am JMBleich's daughter in-law. I have two boys. Ryan is going to 5 in April and Lucas is going to 2 in April. We are all very excited to go and can not wait to meet every one.

:welcome: I know how you feel about the excitement. I'm getting to the point where it is getting hard to sleep.

Yes we made it home safe and sound. Of course now I have a cold. Always seems to be the way. I get sick after holidays :confused3
It was a very strange week for weather I think. I saw on the news that is was 32 Degrees in Florida and it was probably about 36 Degree back home in Alberta, Canada.
But now that we are back home it went back to its usual 5 Degrees with lows in the -13 Degrees (hehe I had to look those up as to me it is -10 as a high and -25 as a low in Celsius)

Makes me glad that we are down to 72 Days until we leave for Florida. I am not a big fan of being cold all the time
