4/26/09 4 day Wonder

I figured it'd let you all know first that I got my ceremony time and it is the 27th at 5:30pm deck 7 Aft.

So if any of you are back on board after your Nassau activities feel free to sneak a peek from the decks above :thumbsup2

Has anyone explored the Sea Lion Encounter on Blue Lagoon Island in Nassau. We're thinking of doing on our own because Disney does not offer. We've done dolphins at Discovery Cove and thought the Sea Loins would be a nice change.

Thanks a bunch!!

Our2girls&disney - did you get my PM on the flights? I don't think I can send until I get 10 posts. Will work on that.....

We usually get to terminal a little before 10Am so we get a low number to be first on the ship. We will be sitting in front of the TV closest to the ship entrance (when you get into terminal furthest away on right). You'll notice my DS6 with his stuffed panda bear. We don't go anywhere without him. Actually it's Pandy Bear II, first one had so much use and travelling stuffing and fur was falling out. :rotfl: If you notice us, please stop by and say HI!!

Hi all, I'm so excited. We're working on the cruise details every night after work for the last three days. I'm wondering - who has been to the Atlantis? Is the waterpark worth the money? I hear you can rent a room at the Comfort Inn right next store to the Atlantis to get park priveledges. We're only two though so for us the $300 room fee is just about the same at the fee through Disney. Our debate though is over whether we should do the snorkeling/catameran tour on Castaway Kay or Nassau. If we do it on Castaway Kay then we can go to the waterpark IF it's worth the time and money. Any advice??? I'll look for the panda near the tv... gotta look at your post again (wish I could see the posts while I type so I know who I'm addressing...) :) We're in for a meet and greet if someone sets a time.

Sleeping Beauty - I'd love to catch glimpse of the bride and groom. I will have to jot that down on the agenda.

2taxedMom - Nope I did not get your response to the PM. If you prefer e-mail try mygirlash1@comcast.net

Crusin'Momma - We booked a room at the comfort suites, we used the little league discount since the kids play softball. It was $213, then when you add taxes and fees, it comes to around $250. Since there are 4 of us, that is quite a savings. This is our first cruise, so I can't help with the questions.

JMBleich - We do plan to arrive early. I booked the first shuttle leaving the Radisson on 4/26.

What time is the first shuttle? We will also be at the Radisson. However we will drive ourselves over and park the vehicle. With two carseats it seems to be the best option. I am really looking forward to warmer weather.-Tonight and tomorrow we are under winter storm watches. Snow is due in tomorow afternoon and evening. Yea March?

Honestly, I booked it so long ago, I forgot. I want to say the first pick up was at 10 am, but I could be wrong. I was just going to ask the front desk when I check in.

Note: there is a nice guide that I found quite helpful. It is a little dated as far as prices are concerned, but the info. is the same. Try this (I hope they do not block it.) http://allears.net/cruise/mdcg.pdf

Snow, yuck. I am so sick of snow these days. We got way too much this year.

:woohoo: WooHoo got my cruise documents today! :woohoo:
Had to stay home sick  from work but on the bright side I was home to sign for the package.

Only 26 more days until we leave, so hopefully I will be all better before then.

:banana::banana::banana:

I am so envious!! I have been wondering when they would be coming. It is good to know they are on the way!! I was checking the calendar for April and every weekend there is something right up to when we leave for Florida. It will go fast. Thanks for letting us know about the cruise docs and we will be looking for ours.:goodvibes

I'll post in case anyone else is wondering too

I like pretty much everything Disney. My most favorites are Mickey Mouse, All Winnie the Pooh Characters, Stitch, Pluto

DH is not so into Disney like me, I know his favorite thing is Hobbes (not Disney :sad2:) But Mickey, Pluto or Goofy I guess wouldn't be bad

We are getting so much closer now :yay::yay:
Everything is going to be so busy leading up to us leaving that it will be here before we know it.

No cruise documents here either.

Lets see favorite disney character.......
DH - Mickey
Me - 1st choice - Jack Sparrow 2nd choice -Minnie
DD11 - Mike from Monsters Inc.
DD7 - Lilo

Both of my sons and husband are Mickey fans, I am a Minnie fan. I hope this helps...

I stand corrected... My son - 5 years old is an Imagination Mover fan.

Your cruise documents should probably come next week. On the Canadian Boards they mention that for whatever reason we tend to get ours a little earlier than the States.

That helps alot thank you!

I am doing the cruise doc dance!!::dance3: They were on my porch when I got home this morning. I guess I will have to start with the packing.

Sleeping_Beauty81 Both my DH and myself would have to be Mickey and Minnie fans--- being original Mickey Mouse Club members!

I realized when checking the calendar at school that we will be leaving for FL in less than 2 weeks! That is not far off. Are we going to try to meet up with everyone on the first day--say at the terminal if you are early or at the sail away party. Our group should be at the terminal fairly early if it would help. We could all wear something to I D ourselves?? Have a good day!!:)

I was surprised when my documents arrived yesterday and here we were talking about it. Great!!!!!! 24 days.....

 WooHoo! We got our cruise documents!

Fighting sickness for the past week with a quick trip to the hospital for my youngest and haven't even thought about the cruise. Now DD is getting a bit better I have time to get back into the planning!

Is anyone planning on dressing up for the pirate party??? I would love to surprise my husband with an outfit for him and a pirate-y dress for me. Sounds like fun anyways...

How are everyone's FE gifts coming. I'm still on the fence on that.

Any good ideas on decorating for our stateroom door? Are you allowed to use tape or only magnets? I want to surprise my hubby again by decorating in secret when we get to our room. Oh- I know. I'll suggest we split up to try to get on the wait list for brunch at Palo's while I get to the spa to see what packages they're offering but instead I'll go decorate our door real quick. OK it's a plan.

Found this on the trip reports:

"Dana and her family were handing out the group lanyards and name cards that some had purchased. It had a nice copy of the DISers cruise logo on it, with the DIS screen name, and actual person's name. We didn't go in on them, and regretted it. 1- real nice job of workmanship 2- the plastic card holder seemed more durable than the one DCL provided for our KTTW. "

Anyone have any idea where to get lanyards? I'm definately wanting to get one for pin trading while on board.

Cruisin Momma - I know that all around Disney World they have landyards, but I am not sure what they are describing. Why don't you send the poster a PM and ask where she bought them?

Pirate night - Yes, I made costumes for the whole family.

Stateroom door - I thought about decorating the door, but I have been so busy I am not sure if I will find the time. They do not allow tape, so magnetic is your only option.

I hope your child gets better soon. Poor thing.

:smickey:Hi My2Girls - thanks for your reply. Okay I'm on the search for piratey dress! My DS was at the Disney Store today and they don't have any lanyards or pins there so I'm thinking about just buying them online or even taking a trip to Orlando to go to downtown disney. It's quite a drive though so maybe not...

Time to get busy on outfits and on finding magnetic decorations for our door. I want to pack as many surprises into our cruise as I can to make it extra magical for my dear hubby who deserves some well-earned one-on-one time with me.
