4/25/09 Magic - First Visit To Tortola!

Hey Disney experts....

I have a question about an excursion. It's our first.

It says that the excursion is from 9 am to 12:30, and lists it as 3-3.5 hours.

What time do you think we meet?

Is the meeting time at 9:00 or are we starting our excursion at 9:00? Just hoping to get as much time as we can on this Drive/beach tour. 3.5 hours seems really quick. And if it includes meeting time/disembarking, etc.....well then it will be way too short!
Thanks!

Most of the time when they say 3.5 is the time from leaving the ship to returning to the ship.

Previously, I saw that someone posted the times for some of the shore excursions. I see the lengths of time, but not the times they leave or return. Where did you find this information?
Thanks,
Laurie

If you already booked your excursion, just go to the DCL web site and go to My Cruise Plans. The start and end times are listed. If you haven't booked yet, when you reserve online, it shows you the start and end times too.

I'm pretty sure the listed start time IS the meet time but you will know for sure when you get your excursion tickets onboard. I believe they are delievered to your stateroom the night before the excursion.

Hey everybody, I just posted this on the main forum (under movies) but I want to let you guys know in case you don't read that thread - the new Disneynature movie "Earth" will be playing on our cruise! It premieres at sea on the 22nd.

We are really excited because we had planned on seeing it in the theater - now we can just see it on the cruise! :cool1:

I believe the other movies the DCL rep mentioned are the same ones on the list in the main forum.

Edited to add: I just took a look at the list and the only ones I don't recall her mentioning are Tinker Bell and Underdog...
Sorry, guess I should have written them all down!

Oops! sorry about the typo's. It was late last night when I posted. And I'm not always a good typist when it is early in the day :lmao:

On the excursion question: I thought that the time listed was the 'leave' time and that the group would 'meet' a bit earlier. But my memory might not be good on this point.

We have gotten the suitcases down. Next week will be packing week.

I hope everyone has a good day.

Strangest thing happened in our backyard overnight...someone left eggs all over the yard:confused3 Pastel pink, pastel blue, lavendar... Chocolate bunnies in the house?

Having a family picnic later today at our house. It is a family tradition that we all meet on Easter Sunday. This will be the 2nd year that my mom is not here. I hope it gets easier.

Happy Easter everyone.

Linda

Too cold in New Hampshire for the easter bunny to leave them in the yard. Had to put them all over the downstairs:rotfl2: Cats like to play with them after the bunny was gone, so think we are missing a few.

I am all packed! Sorry for those wating until next weekend.:rolleyes1
I am done, the FE is done, DH is done. DD, Casey, will wait until next weekend alsopopcorn::. Guess she needs to wait a bit to put those summer clothes in a suitcase, not like she can wear them now in NH.

Hopeing that in the next week it gets warmer, as the dogs are staying in the garage for the time we are gone. Someone is staying at our house, so they will be taken care of. The garage is so they can go outside in the warmth" :rotfl2:

Happy Easter to all. One more weekend to go! :teacher:

I have been watching the weather forcast and they are have a lot of rain in Tortola. I am assuming that is good for us because the odds are better that it will be sunny when we get there, I hope.

Holding out to book the shore excursion until I can get a feel for the weather. Thinking about a day sailing on the White Squall II. Don’t want to do that on a cloudy-rainy day.

We are already booked on the White Squall II.

Hey Linda: Know what you mean about missing your mom. April is always a hard month of us. Mom's birthday, my birthday, my DH birthday, Easter, etc etc. It will be 3 years in June that we lost my mom to breast cancer.

The Easter eggs were floating away today in Baton Rouge. We've had overcast skies and tornado warnings since about noon. But it didn't stop us from enjoying a yummy meal :dance3:

Question of the week: What interest, other than all things Disney, do you have?
Me: enjoy college sports, especially LSU :love:, love my dogs, enjoy traveling; like crafts - sewing, scrapbooking, quilting - when I have time and am motivated.
DH: loves golf (almost more than me :confused3); LSU sports; working in our yard at home; cooking (thanks goodness :worship:); our fur children.

Next to reply ????

Just think, we'll be in single digits soon :yay::woohoo::yay::woohoo:

We had a chilly Easter here in PA but it was sunny so that was nice.
Interests? Let's see.....I love flowers and wish I had a bigger yard to garden but we are in a townhouse. I love to swim -- I'm always called the fish of the family. I also love music - I play a little piano and used to tinker on the guitar....mostly I love to sing and participate in choirs and singing groups and DH does also. We both love spending time with our children and grandchildren and we love the outdoors both the beach and woods/mountains. DH is a big camper and he loves to read and collect books. He also likes baseball and football - Phillies and Eagles. Of course can't forget our kitties - we love them too.

My daughter finished my FE so now I'm ready to go - uh well, except for the packing

I was thinking - if anyone wants to get together with others to do any activities or go to the clubs together or hang out to celebrate the sail away we should mention that here or at our initial meet for our photo.
I am just so ready to go - I'm really getting excited now!

Thanks for the updated FE list:yay:

Sandy

We are in single digits tomorrow.:worship::banana::worship:

Interest: Gardening - flowers and vegetables - only enough to be dangerous. We live in the woods, and are on bedrock, so we can't dig into the ground. So we got EArth boxes and wow!!!! :wizard: They worked magically. I had 3 garden boxes. It was amazing. Nora RObert novels

As for flowers, enough to be able to plant and have them come back each year. :rotfl2:

DH - any honey do list he gets :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:traveling with DVC, target shooting

Casey - dance, youth leadership training, church youth group, ipod, Tyra show, watching comedy shows/skits

Hi.

Ok, so, I've missed a LOT on this thread....but, do we have a meet planned? Or are we just Lime Green-ing it? :confused3 I'd like to meet some dis-ers....no one else understands me! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
