4/25/09 Magic - First Visit To Tortola!

On another note. Only 10 more work days until my vacation!!!!! We all know they count twice as much as weekend days.

:cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1:

Sunburnin,

The Deck 4 track is popular at times and does go through the anchor storage areas. It is pretty neat and there are some huge ropes there also. I often use the deck chairs there to read.

I would imagine the CC 5k includes the loop through the mangrove area which is fun to cycle through. Hopefully they will also go all the way down toward were they had a crew beach but I am not sure how that is used any longer. I only saw it once from a distance standing on some rocks at the end of the bike path.

8 days and counting...

Me too Me Too! 10 work days (not counting today since it is over:yay:) and you are right about the work days counting as longer time than weekends. Work days are so long, and weekends are too short:lmao::lmao::lmao:

Anyone else dig out their Jimmy Buffet CDs? He really puts me in the mood to sail.:cool1:
How appropo that there is even a Margarita tasting...:yay:
I started packing today.:banana:

I'm just thinking...2 weeks from right this moment...we'll be on an airplane, heading for Orlando!!!:banana::cool1::banana::worship:

We decided to stay in Cocoa Beach on Friday the 24th at Quality Suites. We get into Orlando about 4:45 then we'll pick up our car and make our way over to the Port.

Anyone know of a good steak/seafood place around port?

Linda

And in two weeks we will have already dropped off the pups at the spa for their vacation and will be headed to New Orleans to catch our flight. We get in to Orlando at about 3:15ish, pick up car and head to P.Canaveral.

:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

My DH is headed home today from being overseas working for a month. He called this morning - "I'm not in Houston. We're in the Bahamas." My response - "You went on the cruise without me!" They had to stop in Nassau to refuel and then had mechanical problems. They'll be in later I'm sure! :banana::banana:

Happy Easter weekend to all. How many of you are having a white Easter??

You all seem like such a great bunch of people. We were thinking of hosting a party here on April 26th to watch grass grow and paint dry. If anyone doesn't have anything more exciting to do you're more than welcome to stop by.

hehehehe

2 weeks from now we should be wrapping up our 8-9 hour drive from Charlotte to PC. Woo hoo!!!!!!

Ditto!

The nice thing at work is that spring break around here is this week and next week in NC and most of my northeast co-workers are off the week after that.... so its been a bit slower than normal. When we are on our cruise work will be back at full force and I won't be there. woo hoo!

Curious... for those with kids... is this the real spring break for anyone? It's 2 weeks after ours and I thought it was past most others.

Sorry for the late response. Traffic was great to SF this week. Some kids were off, mine are out the week after Easter. They go back to school for 4 days then :banana::banana: :yay: They'll be missing 6 days of kindergarten for the cruise. :rolleyes1 The teachers aren't thrilled but really, they're 5!! We can't wait. :yay::yay:

Funny you said that. I just spent the last 2 days getting all my JB onto my MP3 player. Something about sailing the Caribbean and Jimmy Buffet just go together. DW doesn't care much for it, but It brings back good times for me. Used to do the annual concert when it came to town...

See ya in 14!!!

I really should start packing...but for some reason I just can't get motivated to do it ;) Maybe after Easter? Anyone else procrastinating on getting ready for this trip?? I really need to get my act together --- it's getting really close!

I'll start packing at 3:00am on the day we leave.:lmao::rotfl::lmao::rotfl:. We leave at 4:30 to get to the airport. The plane leaves at 7:00. I just hope the clothes fit.:rolleyes1.

Previously, I saw that someone posted the times for some of the shore excursions. I see the lengths of time, but not the times they leave or return. Where did you find this information?
Thanks,
Laurie

I posted the time but it was an excursion that was not offered by disney. most of the excursions leave between 8a-9a unless there is more than one available .

Don't worry -- you aren't alone. I'm usually way ahead by now but I am not motivated either. I pulled out some summer clothing and realized much of it is tight on me so that didn't help. I"m like you - after Easter I hope to get more organized. I just want to be on the ship and not think about preparation :).

I got the wristbands in today. They are dark blue. I didn't add another color because the pricing got too high.

By the way -- official thanks to Lisa for the pictures she emailed. They are great and it's fun to see what everyone looks like.

I'll join you, Rebecca, in the two week dance:banana:
