3rd Times a Charm! Mar. 8-14..lots of pics

OK, I found it....a little out of my price range. LOL!

I understand completely! I start high on my BIN resales. If they don't sell, then I come down. If it doesn't sell in a month or so, I might just start an auction at a buck and see where it goes. So keep an eye on it! I have to pay for our fall Disney trip.....

Thanks for the nice comments on my Flickr photos. We've had a lot of fun stalking the characters with our big bag of costumes!

Yes, I made Mary Poppins, and am thinking I will list it to sell sometime soon. Same thing, BIN in my store, then maybe an auction later.....

I think I'm making a new Mary for our fall trip. I still want to stalk Mary's penguins for a photo op..... It would KILL me to find that darn penguin on the first trip withOUT the Mary costume along!

DH has an aunt who can REALLY sew, so I'm told and has made comments in the past that she would sew something for us. So I think I'm going to ask her if she will try this. Do you follow any set pattern, or will she be able to figure it out? I know nothing about sewing at all. I did see a pattern listed on another thread that was basic and just added to. Is that what you do too?
This will probably be my new obssessive mission. LOL!

And now on to BBB!

And here is where she is telling the FGIT that she wants pink hair!

No, I did mine a couple of years ago before that thread was started. I use a different approach, with elements of the dress from several different patterns. And some pieces I actually hand cut myself from no pattern. We have taken Mary with us on 2 trips and had a ball! You should see if your aunt can work something up for you. It's WAY fun for your little one to be in a costume no one else has on. The characters and their handlers love seeing something different!

Thanks...I know what you mean about different costumes. We got SOOO many comments on the red Belle dress. And we had the older version of Aurora and the Ariel wedding dress and again people asked where we got them. And the Alice dress seemed to be a hit with alot of the CM's since most little girls don't chose that one regularly either.
I definately will see if the Aunt will try to make one. It would be great for Halloween as well. I dressed up with DD last year, she was a pirate, and so was I, and I can used the red coat I used last year and do a different version of Mary in that. What fun that would be. LOL!

OK I am slowly but surely catching up! I love the pictures from BBB! Those dresses are adorable! I don't know whose crown is whose...uh oh, I feel ashamed! My niece is 2 and I can't wait to take her there when she gets a little older.

Belle's dress in the MK parade is so pretty. I was Belle for Halloween when I was 5 and my dress was BRIGHT yellowish gold. I like the one in that parade much better!

OK, what is with the princes NOT being cute? I think we saw ONE cute prince the whole time. At least your Cinderella was pretty, sometimes they are goofy looking! I don't mean that to be mean, by the way. I also got a small crown for my birthday at 1900PF - it was ridiculous! I tried to wear it anyways, haha!

Bolt is an adorable movie, but I cried! Those pics with Rino and Bolt with Claire are so cute.

I just about died laughing at the photopass pics in front of the castle where she is pretending to be asleep!! OMG, too funny! When I was little I used to stick my tongue out in EVERY picture and my mom would freak!

PS I love the notes you give to her. I teared up a little bit when I saw the princess one when you gave her the fan. It just brings back memories because my mom did that for me and my name is Clare!!

Alright, I can't wait to read more and eventually catch up!!

Thanks for reading. I noticed there weren't too many handsome princes as well. Claire liked them though.
I wish they sold a Belle dress like the one she wears in the parade. I really don't like the bright yellow ones, which is why I haven't bought one for her yet.

UPDATE

Claire had her tonsils out yesterday.
So far so good.
She went in with a cheerful attitude, but I knew she was worried. For some reason she got it in her head that she would be cut up to bits. Those are her words, :confused3 but I reassured her they were only taking the rotten stuff out of her. LOL! ;) She woke up crying they said, and took us back to her. I teared up walking up to her. She looked so sad and she was sobbing and she just wanted to go home. Thats all she said over and over. I held her on my lap while they monitored her.
We got her to drink some water, but once after about 15 minutes of sips, she spit it out all over me and goes "YUCK, this is water, I hate water". It was like she was out of it till then and finally realized what she was drinking. LOL! :rotfl2: Skip and I and the nurse were laughing so hard about it.
We arrived at 8, her surgery was at 9:15 and were in the car going home a little after 11. I couldn't beleive how fast it went.
With Paige we were there all day.

We also found out tylenol with codiene cost $40 a bottle. LOL! DH wasn't too happy about that, and it has a refill too. :scared1:

She did pretty well all day. We had bad moments and good moments. They said she wouldn't be hungry for a day or two, but to push liquids. Well we weren't home long and she asked for pizza. I told her she couldn't have that right now, and then she started crying. She said "will I ever be able to have McDonalds again," and I told her yes, very soon. LOL! :) And she said, "well I need to eat you know".
So I gave her two bowls of sherbert, and then she had soup. Then she ate mac and cheese for supper, and some grapes, and a half of a banana, and more sherbert. I can't beleive how much she ate. She was like constantly starving.
She played and colored a bit too and we did take a small nap together. Night time is hard, because she thinks she should sleep with me (thanks to DH). She did finally go to sleep in her bed, and I told her if she had trouble she could come in my bed later on, which about 4 AM she did. But she seems OK so far. Not herself at all, but better than I expected at this point. But they say she will go down hill all week and by next monday it will be the worst. And then back up again.

I love that Claire is asking for pizza and McDonald's. The "well I need to eat you know" comment sounds just like something my son would say. I hope that her recovery goes well. Keep us updated.

Thanks everyone. She asked today for a bowl of whipped cream. LOL! I told her after she ate soup she could, and I think she forgot about it for now.

Hope Claire feels better soon, i remember what it was like when i had my tonsils out. Very painful.

AWWW! poor Claire
I feel bad for her. Usually day 5- 7 is the worst. It seems like that's when we always have kids readmitted because of bleeding when their scab comes off. I don't want that to sound like that happens a lot because it's rare but rather that is about the mark when it seems to happen. I'm really glad she's eating though that's the biggest hurdle for recovery. Give her a big hug for me.

And poor thing thinking they we going to "cut her to bits":scared1:

I'd be scared too if I thought someone was going to cut me to bits.

My kids are off at camp this week. I thought it was a great idea to send them both at the same time so I wouldn't have to make that trip 4 times.
But man I'm I lonely without all that aggravating each other going on. It is nice to have so alone time with Kevin though; where I don't have kids constantly wanting to know what we're talking about

keep us posted on Claire's recovery.

GET WELL SOON CLAIRE

Thanks.
That is exactly what I hear too. Most of the people we know whose kids had it done all say day 5-7.
She did well again today. I'm glad she's not letting it get her down so far. But she is tiring very fast.

I hope Claire feels better soon!! ((although it sounds like she already is! LOL))

More great pics by the way!

Thanks.....So far so good. She is actually outside right now with DH. she's a dirty little pig and won;t come in. She is having fun hanging with dad...who is just siting on the tailgate of the truck talking to his buddy. To me that sounds boring, but she thinks it's fun. LOL!
