3D movies - bugs Life

thanks so much we will not be seeing this. my 3yo dd is scared of spiders. i thought it would be cute w/ dot!! we have never been to disney world ,so thanks to yall we can skip this!!!

My DD7 now was 5 at the time. We ended up having to leave in the middle of the show. She was crying and screaming. I sure wish I had known. We are going in Sept and she says we are not going to that bug show, I hated that.

I would skip this.

Thank you all so much. I didn't realize that it was more than a 3D movie with all those other special effects. My DS cries very easily and we will definately be skipping this one!

I am going to try Mickey Philharmagic again this year, as that I think he will like.

Mickey's Philharmagic is one of DD5's favorites. The nice thing about this one is that if a child is scared they can take off their glasses and basically it's just like being at the movies, albeit a bit louder perhaps. ITTBAB has so many special effects that are not 3-D, like the big old spider, (shudder) that taking off your glasses doesn't help very much.

I think it may be a bit scary. It really does depend on your child and how they may react to sounds. I always get scared on this and I'm 14! I know when I was little I cried on it, but I know other kids who loved it. I hope it all works out. Have fun on your trip!

One more experience:

I have never heard so many screaming terrified kids in my life! AND you are trapped, it is quite difficult to take a child out because it is dark and you are in one of the famous Disney rows. It was actually difficult to hear the show because of the hysteria.

We took our 7YO in March, and he took off the glasses and closed his eyes, I think. I couldn't tell - it was too dark. NOT one of his favorites. This is a kid who loved everyhting else except Dinosaur, so he's not really easily spooked. I'm not really even sure the 11 YO liked it.

We went a year ago in December, my kids were 5 1/2 and almost 4yrs old. They cried throughout the entire show!!!
