I believe someone on these boards said that prospective employers look favorably on applicants that are already currently employed, so - where do I include that on my resume?

Guess I'm **** out of luck then, huh? :(


To answer you question:

ABC, Corporation
July 1994 - present

Or however you have your employers set up on your resume. Just have the end date as "present" instead of "February 2003".
 
No resume advice but just wanted to say good luck and hope you get a job that is much, much better than your current one ;)

In the section where you list your experience (which should be with the most recent experience first), you would list your current position. If you started in December, for instance, the timeframe would be listed as "December 2002 to present."
 
It seems like you took your current job fairly late in 2002, right? If that is the case, I would NOT put months on your resume -- just years.

2002, present
President, Walt Disney Company

1998-2003
Vice President, Walt Disney Company

Remember to leave off personal data (health, family, etc.) and to use active verbs. I also would never do an "objective" section -- might be okay for a recent grad, but it results in a lot of bs for those of us who've been around in a few years.

Do a google search -- you should be able to see lots of sample resumes.
