Tuesday 22nd May
We both woke up really early today and couldn't get back to sleep because of the rocking of the ship so we just hung out in the room until it was time to go to breakfast with Mike watching Cars on the TV even though he says he doesn't like it. We'd been able to switch our character breakfast to this morning after speaking to our head server last night at dinner however when we got there they were not expecting us. Thankfully they let us in. Neither of us ate much as Mike had a touch of seasickness and generally I can't eat much first thing but we were here for the characters anyway. They all came round, Goofy came twice as his guide seemed to get confused on where he'd been but that was good for us.
After breakfast I headed for my spa appointment and Mike decided to sit out on deck, it wasn't nearly as cold as we'd been expecting. I had a hot stone massage and was gone for about 2 hours in total. When I was finished I used the wave phone to locate Mike and we headed to Parrott Cay for lunch. We headed to the Promenade Lounge for the quiz, Name that theme park tune, but it had already started, we decided we'd stay anyway and just listen. Good job we didn't play as we were useless. The team that won was 2 men and they just got one question wrong. Next stop was a drawing class in Animators Palate where the subject was the big cheese himself Mickey Mouse. It only took us 30 mins of the allotted hour to draw him so someone asked if we could have ago at another character but she said no.
We had a look outside to see what the weather was like then headed back to our room to get changed into our swimwear so that we could go swimming. Back outside we found it had started to rain we decided not to let that stop us and got in one of the hot tubs in the adult pool area and watched the beautiful scenery float by. Before we knew it we had to get out and go get ready for formal night. We headed to the Golden Mickey's and when it finished made a quick dash to the lobby to beat the crowds and got our formal photos taken before a queue formed.
We then went outside to try and get one with Alaska in the background but the wind and sun prevailed and when I say this is the best photo you'll know the rest were awful. Squinting into the sun with hair whipping in your face is not a good look for me.
We then hopped in line for a photo with Mickey and I attemted to straighten my dress. Other people in the queue must have wondered what on earth I was doing but the underskirt was all twisted and it was driving me crazy.
We grabbed a couple of the free cocktails from the lobby and as all the seats were gone headed over to the Promenade Lounge to relax there until it was time to eat. We noticed over the course of the cruise the duo that played there seemed to have a very small playlist.
Dinner tonight was in Tritons, I decided straight off that I was going to get Klaudia to talk and smile, both turned out to be very easy and she was much better from then on. Tonight I had cheese ravioli, follwed by duck with creme brulee to finish, and a cocktail that was so lovely I had 2 rather than try another one but forgot to write down its name which was a shame as it was my favourite from the holiday. DH had scallops, followed by swordfish and also ended with creme brulee. They needed to work on their flametorching as both tops needed more crisp. (Sorry seem to have forgotten to take photos of the main meals).
Post dinner we hit Wavebands which became our normal routine along with a pomo cosmo for me, first up was the house band who were British, next up the main act was a Ventriloquist, and then a quick one hit wonders quiz before the disco started. Back at the room via a play in the lift to try and get a good photo (which didn't work like we'd hoped) it was trip notes and bedtime.
