3 Targets for one TOY SALE!!

I just got home from the nearest Target. Had to take my 2 kids with me (boy was THAT fun!) I ended up buying 30 toys total. Almost $1,000 worth of stuff and I only paid $230.56. Tuesday Target.com had a sale on their gift cards... buy $100 worth and only pay $90 so I had one of those plus using my red card saved another 5%. I got the Lite Sprite Tree of Life & 3 dolls, Angry Bird stuffed animals, Sonic toy, Trio Batman Castle, Batmobile, Joker Imaginext and a few other things... there was a lady there refusing to buy anything Batman because of the shooting. :confused3 I'm set for Christmas & birthdays for the next 2 years!

My daughter has had the iXL since it came out with no issues. Here is to hoping the one that just bought for DS will be the same!

No offense, but you might want to reread your post and fix any errors. There seems to be letters/punctuation missing. I have no idea what you are even talking about. Maybe it's just me. :rotfl:

I didn't have any problems at all reading the OP's post. Clearly it's about the Target toy clearance sale.

I went two two Targets (at least five are close to me). I got the Barbie Squinkies and the larger baby toy I was looking for--a fisher price Dino walker for $17. I just wanted something big for my baby for Christmas, plus I needed a walker and this got good reviews.

I also got a good amount of stocking stuffers, so I'm probably done with those. Some keychain stuffies for my son (where's my water swampy and red angry bird), small moon dough sets which he loves, and a yellow angry bird flashlight.

Lite Sprite dolls were $4.48--my daughter loves those--but I didn't see the tree of life. Also picked up a few My Little Ponies for a birthday present for a party coming up.

I spend about $60, but considering the walker is selling on Amazon for $54 right now, I think I did good.

Over the years, though, I've learned to only buy things my kids are into and read the toy reviews on Amazon. Otherwise, the toys don't get played with and aren't worth it even on clearance.

Hi, Just got back got a ton of stuff for $80. Mostly Pony and Squinkies but some hot wheels also at 70%. The sales person was marking them down to 70% as we were shopping. I got a really nice Tinkerbell doll with a few outfits for under $5. I am very tempted to hit another Target this afternoon before everything is gone.

Happy Shopping!

Our Toy sale has been slim this year.

Usually, we have a few isles packed with stuff, we even stock up for some X-mas stuff.

This year it's minimal discounts 10-15%, and no major isles stocked with stuff. It's just random items on the reg shelfs :(

From what I was told by 3 friends that work at Target is they are just not buying the stock they once did because of the economy . Same with seasonal items. There isn't as many markdowns or items to markdown anymore.

I got a ton of stuff. More than I thought I would from seeing what was going to be marked down beforehand. I got some stuff for friends, too.

I got several different Polly Pocket, a few My Little Pony, several different Squinkies sets, Cinderella Baby, a few Little Pet Shop, a few Strawberry Shortcake characters, Princess phones, a Rapunzel crown/purse set, Tiana & Cinderella Birthday barbie style dolls (they sing happy birthday), a Tiana car, Tiana house, Learn To Read Tag Book Sets, LeapPad game, a portable art easel type thing, Little Mermaid bath toy, Disney Princess Paper Dolls, Princess board game, electric drum set, paper jams drum & amp, a harmonica, a recorder, and a pink sock monkey for DD. That covers all of her Christmas and upcoming birthday, except the bike she wants.

For DS I got, several different Star Wars items, an Optimus Prime mask, paper Jam Guiter, pj amp, pj picks, pj guitar strap, Batman RC car, Star Wars Lego Watch, R2D2 Trouble Game, Kreo Transformers Legos, Play Doh Transformers, CARS lego set, TRIO Hotwheels set, harmonica, recorder, and CARS Air Hogs. And he is done for Christmas as well. :)

Thomas stuff for my friend for her little boy, 3 sets for $30.

It sounds like I bought them out, but I went to 3 different Targets and bought some at each (they all had different stuff on sale). There was plenty left. They seemed to have a large quantity of stuff. And I swear there were a TON of things I wasn't interested in that they had as well. Baby stuff, doll beds/strollers, Zoobles, Aqua Doodle, Play-Doh, Monster High, RC monster trucks, target brand train stuff, games, cars stuff, that was marked 70% and then a really good amount of stuff still marked at 50%. There were a lot of Legos, too, but they weren't marked down much.

I had my 5% RX discount, and my 5% from my Target card. Since I had the RX thing, I also bought a lot of Disney gift cards today. :)

Here's a pic of everything I got from the last two years. The right half of the couch is everything I bought this morning. I only gave my kids a handful from last year's haul for Christmas... but I also dug into it for birthday parties we were invited to... still, this is about $2,000 worth of toys and I only paid $470ish.

DS and I just got back. We just stock up on a few things for bday parties he goes to and a couple of Christmas presents, so we didn't get much. Remote controlled truck, Nursery Rhymes game, Star Wars legos, Littlest Pet Shop something with 3 animals, Rapunzel doll, something similar to a bow and arrow (but not complicated), Whack a Mole something, and some memory game with a spinner (I think). Also ended up getting 8 2-packs of some balloon car racers that we'll use for birthday party goody bags next month.

Then we picked up a few things for baby showers coming up. Got 3 pack of onesies (one boys and one girls), a couple of sleepers, little pink stuffed dog that sings the alphabet, thick fuzzy blanket, a couple of blanket/rattle things and some baby Converse shoes.

Everything was 70% off. Might go to another Target if I can talk DH into heading that way for dinner. If not, we're probably good on toys until the January sale.

I did pretty good today, too. Went to two Targets. One had way more stuff than the other. I got an alien Lego set at 70% off, a Lego board game, squinkie sets, Cars RC sets, Star Wars Transformer, Kinex Roller Coaster set, Transformers Kreo building set, color a purse sets, a few baby toys...I should be good for all upcoming birthdays and most of christmas (for other children). I'll keep just a few items for my own children. They always request specific items from Santa and I have no success picking things out for them so far in advance!

Thanks to this thread -
I might have missed the toy clearance extravaganza- if it had not been for Disboards saying it will happen tomorrow (*now today).
I've been watching it for a few weeks. You guys are awesome and now Christmas mostly done for two nieces, two nephews, and one son.
I spent about $400 dollars- went to two different Targets
one was just marking as I got there.
Tinkerbell sets, Moxie dolls and Liv dolls and clothes, squinkies, hello kitty sets, Lego games, lot of sesame street toys, harmonica, card game, scrabble slam game, batman mega blocks set, joker imaginext set, play doh sets, lots and lots of disney cars items, race cars sets, and a nintendo figures set and other stuff but that is the bulk. At my targets- clearance spread out on every aisle -really had to look. Also, many of the items that I purchased were still marked with clearance stickers of 50% off but were ringing up 70% off.
Thanks every one !! Happy shopping!!

don't bother with the ixL at any price. we bought one for DS when first came out and it crashed, losing everything, when got it. thought we were the ones to mess it up, we bought one from Target last week and the exact same thing happened - they are not worth it.

My DD's does that when she drops it...you have to take the memory card out and put it back in

I went at lunch, since y'all gave me the heads-up... and I'm really very pleased with the results-- I spent about $80 and got two garbage-bags full of stuff to put away for Christmas.

I got a Play Wonder 18" doll for $10.48! (originally $35) unfortunately they only had one, so I don't know which daughter will wind up with it, they are both doll-crazy... and no, they aren't AG, but the kids don't care.

I also got a bunch of lite-sprite stuff, the swing, waterfall and windmill for $6 each as well as two dolls for $4.48 each. And since the Tree of lite had come down in price again, I got my price on that adjusted again... so in the end I only paid $12 for the one sitting in my gift closet, I also got my price adjusted on the Dr Dreadful Zombie lab I bought before... I'm hoping to find a few more of the dolls at our other Target tomorrow, but it's tricky to escape the kids... oh, and they had these little squinkie-sized pets for the litesprites, so I got two packs of those for about $2 per pack, four little things inside...

Lots of zoobles, a bit of littlest pet shop. I skipped the squinkies and the polly pockets. DD8 has one entire wall of her room laid out in a giant city we call polly-squinkie-zooble-petshop-zuzutopia... it's ridiculous, but at least most of it came from yardsales, black friday, and clearance... but she's been wanting more zoobles...

By the time we add in the "zha zha hermit crabs" I bought on ridiculous clearance from TRU a few weeks ago, I'm going to need a bigger house!!!

So with the exception of whatever pops up between now and Christmas, I'm almost done for the kids... They do both want some of those silly slippers they're advertisign on TV where the ears flop up and down when you walk...

Again, thanks for the heads-up!!!

DD got a Liv doll for $6 tonight while we were shopping. Going to hit the one by my work tomorrow on lunch to see if they have anything good!

Thanks for the heads up!!! I really made out last night. I also went to 3 different Targets. I spent $300.00 and saved about $700.00!!:cool1: Here is a short list of some of the toys I purchased.

1.Lego Pirates of the Caribbean Queen Ann's Ship reg. price $139.99 paid
$59.96
2. Lego Pirates of Caribbean Black Pearl reg $119.99 paid $35.96
3. Lego Dino Defense HQ reg. price $109.99 paid $33.96
4. Lego Harry Potter bus reg price $38.99 paid $12.96
5. Lego Star Wars Bounty Hunter Ship reg. price 54.99 paid $24.96
6. Lego Alien Conquest Mother ship reg. price $65.99 paid $32.96

One of the Targets I went to was still only at 50% off. I may check that one again to see if they are at 70%. My kids love legos and I really love getting a deal on them!!:cheer2:

I got the Lite-sprite dolls from Wal-mart during their winter clearance for $1 each. I'm glad I paid barely anything because they were a bust with DD. If you don't have the wand you can't do much with them at all either. I bought the wand for $10 but that didn't really help her enjoyment of the set.

So just a heads up that unless your girls already have the dolls and enjoy them, I wouldn't risk the money with the lite stuff.

I got a few of the lite sprite dolls for DD...she has been wanting them so its a good Christmas gift. I think Im done now between this trip and the pre-Easter toy sale with all the coupons...im set

DD5 got the wand/prisma set for Christmas and still runs around playing with it. She plays with the wand more than the two dolls she has (Prisma, who came with the wand, and Bleak, who was just a cool character so we bought it for her...) She's been patiently waiting for the rest, so even if she ends up not loving them, for the $44 I spent for the 2 dolls, tree, 3 accessories and the little pets, I'll still be ok with spending the money to reinforce delayed gratification in her impressionable little brain.

My daughter and I went yesterday. She works at Target. Using her discount, the mark downs, and using the free Target gift cards I have been stashing, we got $215 worth of toys for $0. That is right -zero. And we had $3 left on one of the $5 gift cards.
