3 Targets for one TOY SALE!!

Fisher Price iXL. It's a handheld gaming system for preschoolers.

Anyway, I understood the post, lol. I'll be going to Target in the morning; I'm looking for a larger infant toy and maybe Barbie Squinkies. The Lite Sprites were already 70% off, making them cheaper than the KMart toy clearance.

I stopped shopping the Target toy clearance because our store allows a charity to come in and clear all the shelves first thing. Target's staff will block off the rows and fill up flat after flat of everything of any interest. Last time I saw them take about 90% of the stock.
It's a very commendable charity, it's about giving to the parents so that they can give to their kids...however I don't think it's ethical to take everything and leave nothing for those families who work hard to shop sales in order to make ends meet, so that they don't have to be dependent on others.

At the top of my list is reading a post that interests me. When I see the words "Target" and "toy" in the same sentence, it peaks my interest. I personally could not understand your post, so I was asking for clarification. Apparently, according to people in this thread, I did it in an inappropriate way, despite the fact that I lead off with "No offense" and ended with poking fun at myself for not understanding it. I got blasted for it by people, and although that hurts my feelings, I will live. I am glad you got great deals on whatever it is you bought. I was hoping to get clarification on what those deals were, but at this point, it isn't worth knowing exactly what they were.

Yes, my mother taught me to say nothing if I had nothing nice to say, but she also taught me to ask questions if I didn't know what something was. She also taught me that ganging up on someone is wrong, so I'm out.

*hugs* I wasn't blasting you. In fact, I too didn't know what an iXL was. I think that the people in this thread were a little touchy with the whole thing. All you were doing was asking a questing and stating a fact. Something that I've been known to do on occasion.

I'm sorry that the others on here ganged up on you. I've seen you around before and I know that you are an awesome help to others. Me included. LOL! I'm always asking strange, yet stupid, questions and I always poke fun at myself and rarely get upset when people point out that it is a stupid question. LOL! Of course that's just me and the type of person I am. I very rarely get upset over people poking fun or of myself asking a stupid question. LOL!!

my friend just called from the Target by her house and they were marked down to 70% off today. Another Target by her house had not been marked down. I'm planning to go to the one by my house in the morning. There are only a few things that I have seen that I hope to get at 70% off. The Jungle Junction ramp is what I am keeping my fingers crossed for!!!

and as far as I know, the iXL is a reading learning system thing, like the leapfrog

At my Target the Jungle Junction ramp was 70% off. They had tons of them too. I got one for my son for Christmas for about $16. I also got a Thomas Take-n-Play Gold Mine set for $13 and change. I was really excited. They were still marking things down while I was there and I didn't have time to wait around. Hopefully there will be good things left tomorrow.

So I did a bit or pregaming if you will checking out what my local Targets had to offer for the toy sale. I must say that all in all I was WAY dissapointed. Usually I spend about $200 and fill my attic. This year I really saw nothing (other than one thing) that I would even consider going back and fighting the crowds for. I ended up buying the iXL in blue for $23, and 3 games ( Cars, Handy Manny, and one other that I cannot remember right now) for $5 each. There were minimal legos, some disney items, and no baby toys. I did see a lot of pet shop items, zoobles, some Cars stuff, and a lot of Thomas the train things. Hope this helps!!!

Can you provide some more info on this Toy Sale you were scouting? I say that because the people who are aware of the sale seem to have already have the info you are providing. Those of us who are unaware of the sale and would appreciate the info are missing key pieces of info like what is the sale and when is it going on.....

not the OP, but it's the twice a year toy sale. They have one mid January and then another the last week of July. Toys go to 70% off (used to be 75%) and it's a good time to stock up for gifts and kids stuff

Should be tomorrow. I'll be stopping by to check it out. I usually try to buy for school friends birthday presents. If I pick up enough gifts at the sale, then I can say yes to any party that comes up. I would have to pick and choose which parties they could go to, otherwise, because I would be out buying gifts every other weekend - and that is definitely NOT in the budget!

Checked my Target today and toys were 50% off. I am in the Atlanta area. Some kids clothes were 30-50 off and girls bathing suits are 30-70% off. Hello Kitty bathing suits reg. $17 now $5.98. Terry cloth girls shorts $2.98.

Our Target in AZ is marked down 50-75% mostly 50% right now. Just depends on the one you go to we have found stuff cheaper at some Depending on the area I guess.

As I said I typed the original post quickly. I assumed that anyone who was looking for the iXL would know exactly what I was talking about. Really, the whole situation could have been avoided if I was asked what an iXL was to which I would have clarified. When someone posts a response that starts with "no offense", then goes on to slam the manner in which the post was written- guess what...I take OFFENSE. With that said- I am over it. So not worth my time fighting back and forth over it. If help was truly what was wanted to understand the post, I gladly would have offered it. Clearly, it was not. There was an air of snarkiness thrown in for good measure. Just wanted to help anyone else who was looking for some of the same items as me. Hopefully it did just that.

OMG!!!! That is GREAT to know!!! Thank you!!!

It's also great to know that today is another mark-down day! I bought the Lite-sprites tree at 30% off, went back for an "adjustment" when it went 50%, and have been holding out on whether to buy any of the extra dolls to see if I could get them for $5 or less each... So now I can go back, see if the "tree of lite" has come down any further, and see if there are any sprites marked down...

Aw, man. Now I'm gonna have to take a lunch break...

don't bother with the ixL at any price. we bought one for DS when first came out and it crashed, losing everything, when got it. thought we were the ones to mess it up, we bought one from Target last week and the exact same thing happened - they are not worth it.
