3 Questions: AKL & I-Drive

1. How many days could a person spend just at AKL without getting bored?

2.How smooth is the check in at AKL?

3.Could a person spend two days just on I-Drive?

Geronimo,
We recently spent 16 nights at the AKL. And it was FANTASTIC! We were always a "value" resort family. We would rather stay for 2 weeks at a cheaper resort than stay at a "deluxe" for only a week. But know we have come to LOVE AKL so much that we will never stay anywhere else! I actually got a great rate for a suite at the Poly and have changed it to the AKL!
Okay to answer your questions:
We spent 5 full days as "resort" days. Taking advantage of all the activities the resort has to offer. And we spent every morning animal watching as we ate our breakfast (except for the moring we went to BOMA). And we ended just about every evening walking to a different part of the resort and looking at the different things. And of course listening to the evening story around the fire pit! I would definately go to the AKL just for a nice vacation and spend a good 2 weeks just there!
As for our check in it was fine. I don't have anything to complain about except for the rude "line-cutter" in front of me! I didn't wait more than 5 minutes in line waiting to check in. The cast member who checked us in was great and very nice. I was having a problem hearing him seeing my ears still had not popped from the plane ride and there was a lot of people checking in and out! But it was all great we got the room we requested and didn't have to wake. (I thought we would seeing it was 10am) He informed me we had several packages waiting for us and someone would bring them right up. When we got to our room our room was nice and comfortable at 68* and our fridge was already nice and cool!

I really depends on what you like to do

I like to read and get some sun, I have no problem spending a whole day at the pool.

My DD8 is a fish and loves the water ~ intermingled with activities that the CM's do with the kids daily and meals ~ she was also fine spending a whole day without even leaving the hotel.

We only did half day excursions to parks either leaving first thing and returning by 2:00pm or leaving at noon and returning in the evening + 2 days in 10 never leaving the hotel.
