3-Prong Plugs in Stateroom

First cruise on Disney next month.

I know the staterooms have 110V electric current. Do the staterooms have 3 prong plugs? How many? Where are they in relation to the main bed?

Thanks in advance,

The only outlets in the room are at the desk area located across from the bed. These are not 3 prong, I believe. I had trouble with my hairdryer on the Magic, but not the Wonder. It had a larger plug in, and didn't fit the plug well enough to have electricity to the dryer.

Actually, the only plugs aren't at the desk. My hairdryer wouldn't fit in those, so I freaked. We tore the room apart looking for hidden plugs. We found some behind the TV set. My hair dryer worked fine in those. But sorry, I can't tell you if they were 3 prong. You CAN buy an adapter that goes from 2 prong to 3. I have one.

It's for a medical device that uses a grounded plug. Ideally, there should be a plug near the bed so that nobody trips over the cord at night. I guess normal US building codes don't apply on a foreign flagged ship. Any other responses?

I mean this in the nicest, most inquisitive kind of way . . . What kind of name is Horace Horsecollar? It certainly is unique and . . . .unique! :)

The outlets behind the television and adjacent to the desk are standard 3-prong U.S. outlets. If you need to use a device on your nightstand (such as a CPAP machine), you'll need to bring a 10-foot extension cord.

Horace Horsecollar was one of Mickey Mouse's early co-stars. Seemed like a good name to use on this board. Horace Horsecollar and I are both tall, but Horace has a larger nose. Horace would hang around with Clarabelle Cow. I assure you that I will not be referring to my DW as Clarabelle Cow on this board (or anywhere else).

Thank you to the legendary Dave_from_Marietta! To think, I just bought an 8 foot grounded cord yesterday for the the cruise.

Horace,

Thanks for bringing up this point. I hadn't thought about a three-prong outlet or its location relative to the bed. Safe to say, I'll be bringing an extension cord. I'd like to get some sleep at night (so would my family)!
