Thanks for the tip.

Funny thing, I have always said if I ever ran a marathon it would have to be one at Disney World. We were at DW in October when there was a 1/2 marathon going on and a Halloween 5K. I think that was when I started talking about it. I am hoping that maybe next year I will do one at Disney World. Let's see if I am able to complete this one.

How fast do you walk? I can't walk fast. It hurts my shins and I end up jogging.

Disney requires that you maintain a 16-minute mile for the half marathon, so that's my goal. Everybody's different but I don't know how jogging is easier than walking fast...but hey, if it works for you, that's great!

Do you have really good running shoes? When I first started, I wasn't convinced that I really needed a lot of gear, but shoes were/are super important. I wear Nike Vomeros, which are like walking on marshmallows.

And yes, it was definitely the Disney appeal that got me into this training. From what I've read here and there, Disney does an admirable job with their race support compared with other race organizers, with water, electrolyte drink, first aid...and well, nobody else lets you run a race through the Magic Kingdom, right? And for Disney fans, the medals (aka 'the bling') is really impressive!

So we have 1 month till our cruise. I am very excited. We still don't have our cabin assignment. I have had a migraine today which has delayed my 1/2 marathon training but I will pick back up tomorrow.

Looks like the Dream will be in Florida tomorrow.

Hi everyone! I am actually on the MV on 1/26 and then the B2B cruise on 1/30. I just wanted to check in and see who all I was leaving MY DREAM to!:lmao:You guys promise to keep her safe for me!:hippie:

Seriously getting excited. Do you seasoned cruises get this excited and crazy leading up to each cruise ? Or will this die down after my first ?

The holidays are over.... It is in the teens every morning.... I'm watching many of the Dream arrival videos.... Oh yeah, I can't wait to go.

This is our 3 DCL cruise. The others have been 4 nights with an additional few days at WDW. This one is going to be short and (oh so) sweet.

Jeff.

Just booked today! I finally talked my Mom into going with me so I am leaving my 13 year old and hubby at home. I am a travel agent and am using this as a work trip to check out the dream...lol. Seriously i am gonna spend 3 days checking out every square inch of the ship!! As i sit in Ohio and watch the snow fall today i am SOOOO excited. I was on the Magic for Thanksgiving and am ready for the Dream! Dont forget to take advantage of booking onboard to save 10% on a future cruises and get an OBC for ur future cruise. I would be happy to assist anyone i am a graduate of the disney college of knowledge...seriously! Anyone else traveling with their mother???? It will for sure be a different cruise experience for me....bittersweet!

Just think, 4 weeks from tonight we will be heading to our cabins for our first night's sleep on the Dream!!! I only booked 10 days ago and we booked a GTY. We don't have our cabin yet so I keep checking the Disney website. I am thinking it will be any day now.

Anyone else in a GTY and not have your cabin number yet?

OMG I just booked this cruise 2 hours ago and now my head is spinning with excitement. This will be our 4th DC. Traveling with husband, daughter (9) and son (7). Hoping I can keep it a surprise from the kids until we fly to Orlando- that is going to be hard.:yay:

Welcome to the cruise! We have only been booked for 10 days and are very excited.

I had to take my car in for service this week, and the lady who runs the service desk started talking to me excitedly about seeing the promo for the Dream on the Christmas parade program, and how cool it all looked - was excited about the aquaduck and was very envious that I was going on this cruise - I've been taking my car there for years, and had no idea that this gruff, no-nonsense lady was a closet Disney fanatic!

Yes we got off GTY and have a 10A. Since we wanted inside I am thrilled with this assignment.

It looks like the shuttle launch has been postponed again, oh well, but on the upside now I'll get a good night sleep after a workday and a flight to MCO.

Now if the weather cooperates is another story.

We are still GTY right now. I am hoping maybe this week. There are still cabins open on the website so I am thinking they are just leaving us GTY to have plenty of options.

Has anyone received cruise docs yet? My friend on the 1/30 says that she got hers on Monday. Hopefully that means ours will be here very soon!

Maybe today, then! Fingers crossed. It's cold here - I am looking forward to the promise of warm breezes.

what kind of docs do they send you? do they wait until you fill in the online check in to send them ?
