Just got off the treadmill. My hubby and I are planning to run our 1st half marathon in April. I really have never thought I wanted too and then at work one day I said something about it. They all laughed and said I would never do it! So you know the rest of the story. Here I am starting to train. Crazy really since I can't even run a mile without stopping.
I am working on a 6 week training program to be able to run a 5K. My goal is to do the
Castaway Cay 5K! Then I will have about 12 weeks to keep increasing my distance before the 1/2 marathon. The 1/2 that we are doing allowers walkers so as long as I can finish in 4 hours we are good to go.
I am still in the planning phase but I think it will work out okay. Wednesday is my off day and that's the day we will be driving. I will run/walk on Thursday and then have Friday off and do the 5K on Saturday!
I am hoping this will help me get those 15 pounds off by the cruise. If you think about it that's 3 pounds a week. We can do this.
