3 Night Dream - 02-03-11

We did the main seating - only because ds (who will be 2 at sail time) is usually in bed between 7:30-8

What a cute lil man you have there - How old ?
My ds will be 2 when we sail

My dd will be 3 wks shy of her 11th bday. I'm sure she will be checking out Edge as well as the Oceaneers.

My DD is thrilled about having two people her age on the cruise. She was also wondering if anyone has been thinking about FE.

princess:

sure - this is our first cruise and all but I am up for anything. FE's sound like fun

Well this is just our 2nd cruise and the first we have even thought about FEs so hopefully some more experienced DU cruisers will show up to lead this FE. I am afraid most of the die hards are on the 1st two cruise dates for the Dream.

We just booked our first cruise ever. Thought about a seven day so the kids would sail free but we are not sure we will like it. Plus we wanted the new ship!! We have three kiddos. 7, 5, and almost 3 when we sail. Hoping the little one is potty trained by then to use the kids club. Anyway we are doing 6 nights prior at WL so we can do the parks too-- we know we love the parks!!!

Maybe the parents of the kids should meet up, drop the kids off at the play area and then we all run and get a drink.

I had a stressful 2 year old birthday party this weekend. ;)

Hey we are doing the parks beforehand. Was going to do WL but decided to try a cabin in FW instead !
Can't wait

We're taking advantage of a day off from school, and ditching the other one to sail on the Dream! It will ge a girls' cruise: me, DD 18 and DD 15. The older is looking forward to trying out the adult venues, and the younger is planning to disappear into that amazing teen space.

We just booked on the Feb 3 Dream as well. :yay:
There are 4 of us including DS6 and DD6.

I was shocked to see how many staterooms were still available and there was still openings at the early sitting. My kids would not do well with the late dinner and DW wants to experience the new restaurants.

We are going down the day before. We will most likely end up at the Nick hotel.... no, my kids aren't spoiled. :rolleyes2

Here's hoping for some warm winter weather.
Cheers.

Since I really want to be Platinum for the the LA Vancover cruise and this ship just looks too cool, we have booked this one. Daughters "adult" disney cruise and she is looking forward to Palo and Serentiy Bay.

My in-laws just decided to join us on this trip. Going through the process of getting them booked, it seems that this cruise is not close to being full.
Not that I mind, but does anyone have any idea why this wouldn't be at least close to full?

My in-laws had no issues getting a handicap cabin 3 doors down from ours.
The bigger surprise to me is that both the main and late sitting at dinner are still available. Normally the main sitting that fills up first and many months ahead of time. With my younger kids, we would not book it if the only option was the late sitting. We looked at almost all the dates from Feb to the end of April and this was the only one that had the main sitting.

Understood the weather could be ify.
But this is the first 3 day Dream cruise, I'm amazed that it is not book solid.
Anyone have any theories?

Don't get me wrong... I'd love to have an uncrowded ship, it just got me thinking.

We are almost at 90 days!! Of special interest as we can start booking spa/palo/excursions.

It's entirely possible that a lot of people don't want to go on such a "new" voyage because they feel the kinks won't be worked out yet. Hey, less lines for Aquaduck and Cookies!! WOOHOO!! :cool1:

I can tell you for us it was the price. We could get 7 days on Freedom of the Seas for the price Disney is asking for 3 nights! The Dream will be there and I will sail her when there is a better deal to be had. Since we live here we can hop on a cruise this weekend if the price it right. We are going to be patient..

But I hope everyone here has a GREAT time!! The new boat looks AMAZING and I will be home drooling over your photos!! :goodvibes
